Effects of Nursing Education using a TBL on Self efficacy and Self Identity among Nursing students

  • This study investigated the effects of TBL nursing education(for the care of congestive heart failure patients) on self identity and self efficacy among nursing students. A one-group, pre-post design was utilized with 28 nursing students as the participants. The scenario of TBL nursing education was created based on PBL, and consisted of four states(1) Present a problem, (2) Problem Follow-Up Steps,(3) Present the results including presentation, and(4) Problem Conclusion and after resolution. And then In-depth interviews were conducted with volunteers on program experiences. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients and paired t-tests and Giorgi phenomenology analysis method was performed. The TBL program was effective in self - efficacy and self - identity (p<0.01) increased significantly after the education intervention and The meaning of the TBL experience is four (meaning that the learners embarrassed TBL, aggressive learning attitude change, effective collaboration for problem solving in a free learning environment, university classes imagined in high school), and 67 sub-components appeared as an element. The TBL program is an effective teaching method for nursing education and it can be used as basic data for the development of nursing education based on this research.

  • Ductile fracture is one of the most common failure modes of steel beam-to-column connections in moment resisting frames. Most proposed evaluation methods of the plastic deformation capacity of a beam until ductile fracture are based on steel beam tests, where the material's yield strength/ratio, the beam's moment gradient, and loading history are the most important parameters. It is impossible and unpractical to cover all these parameters in real tests. Therefore, a new attempt to evaluate a beam's plastic deformation capacity through analysis is introduced in this paper. Another important issue is about the loading histories. Recent years, the effect on the structural component under long-duration ground motion has drawn great attentions. Steel beams tends to experience a large number of loading cycles with small amplitudes during long-duration earthquakes. However, current research often focuses on the beam's behavior under standard incremental loading protocols recommended by respective countries. In this paper, the plastic deformation capacity of steel beams subjected to long duration ground motions was evaluated through analytical methodology.

학습부진아의 동기유발을 위한 게임형 학습시스템 (A Game-Style Learning System for the Enhancement of Underachievers' Motivation)

  • 학습부진아는 학습의 실패를 많이 경험하여 자신감 및 학습 동기가 부족하다. 이들이 학습에서 적절한 성취감을 갖는다면 자신감 및 학습 동기를 높이고 학습 성과도 높아질 것이다. 본 연구는 학습 부진아들에게 학습을 진행시키면서, 각 학습부진아들의 학습 진척도와 성취도 맞는 단계를 자동적으로 제공하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 특히, 학습자의 흥미를 높이기 위하여 말판형 게임을 도입하였으며, 학습 문제가 무작위로 추출되도록 하였고, 학습자의 학습 만족감을 높이기 위하여 학습부진아가 게임에서 적절한 승리를 하도록 승률을 조절해주는 기능을 제공한다. 본 시스템을 학습 부진아들에게 적용한 결과 학습 흥미도 및 학습 효과에서 긍정적인 성과가 있었다.

  • 이 논문에는 구조물 강도에 대한 치수효과의 중요성이 수치해석의 결과로 강조되어 있다. 유리섬유 인장강도의 감소율은 어느 복합재료 제작전문가의 경험에 의한 것이다. 다른 소재의 경우는, 이러한 소재에 대한 자세한 실험결과가 나올 때까지, 이 논문의 자료와 방법을 사용할 수 있다. 강도범주는 Tsai-Wu의 응력공간에 대한 것을 사용하였나. 강토 비율을 지배하는 요소는, 인장강도만 감소시키는 경우, 인상 및 압축강도를 감소시키는 경우, 일반화된 von Mises의 파괴개념 또는 Hill의 개념을 선택하는 경우, 작용하는 응력상태 등이다.

  • 신성 요붕증은 항이뇨 호르몬의 혈중 농도가 높음에도 불구하고, 신장이 항이뇨 호르몬에 반응하지 못하여 생기는 유전질환이다. 신장이 항이뇨 호르몬에 반응하지 못하면 신장의 농도 조절 작용과 수분재흡수의 기능이 상실되어 많은 양의 저장(hypoto-nic) 상태의 뇨를 체외로 배출함으로써 탈수증에 이르게 된다. 저자들은 가족성 신성 요붕증으로 진단받은 형제에서 AVPR2 유전자의 hemizygous c.910 delG mutation를 발견하여 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

  • The contents of aircraft system safety assessment vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the system, how critical the system is to flight safety, what volume of experience is available on the type of system and the novelty and complexity of the technologies being used. If the system safety assessment is to substantiate that the developed products are 'safe enough' to be taken into use, then the system safety assessment should be planned and managed to provide the necessary assurance that all relevant hazards and failure conditions have been identified and that all significant combinations of hazards and failures which could cause those conditions have been considered. The assessment must assist the designer and management in making decisions. It must make clear what the critical features of each system are and upon which special manufacturing techniques, inspection, testing, crew drills and maintenance practice they are critically dependent. This paper has prepared to study on promoting the efficiency of aircraft system safety assessment and to present how to compile system safety assessment strategy.

  • Risk management of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station decommissioning is a great challenge. In the present study, a risk management framework has been developed for the decommissioning work. It is applied to fuel assembly retrieval from Unit 3 spent fuel pool. Whole retrieval work is divided into three phases: preparation, retrieval, and transportation and storage. First of all, the end point has been established and the success path has been developed. Then, possible threats, which are internal/external and technical/societal/management, are identified and selected. "What can go wrong?" is a question about the failure scenario. The likelihoods and consequences for each scenario are roughly estimated. The whole decommissioning project will continue for several decades, i.e., long-term perspective is important. What should be emphasized is that we do not always have enough knowledge and experience of this kind. It is expected that the decommissioning can make steady and good progress in support of the proposed risk management framework. Thus, risk assessment and management are required, and the process needs to be updated in accordance with the most recent information and knowledge on the decommissioning works.

비인강암의 수술 치험 (Surgical Treatment of the Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma)

  • The primary treatment of the nasopharyngeal carcinoma is, at this time, mainly based on radiotherapy. In most studies for patient treated with radiotherapy, overall 5-year survival rate is in the range of 35 to 55%. Obviously, these therapeutic results may be influenced by various factors such as clinical stages, histopathological types and radiation techniques, etc. Though the radiotherapy had a good therapeutic result, there is a limitation to apply the radiotherapy only in cases of the advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Anatomical complexity of the skull base and difficulties in complete surgical intervention were the trouble of the surgery but in the case of radiation failure, there is no adequate cholice of other curative modalities. So it is appropriate to investigate whether surgical resection may improve the results of treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The purpose of this paper is to report the surgical experience with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, then to take into consideration of the new model of treatment strategy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

On-line Fussy Performance Management of Profibus Networks

  • Most networks for automation are tuned to an expected traffic condition ar their design stage. During their actual operations, however, the networks experience considerable changes in traffic from time to time. These traffic changes caused by common events like machine failure and production schedule change may adversely affect th network performance and, in turn , the performance of the connected devices. This paper presents experimental results for performance management of a Profibus-FMS network. The performance management aims to maintain a uniform level of network performance at all stations under changing network traffic. The performance management algorithm monitors the performance of individual network stations and commands the stations to change their timer values in order to have comparable performance at all stations. In order to determine the amount of timer change, the algorithm employs a set of fuzzy rules. The algorithm has been evaluated on a Profibus network.

다중판막치환술에 대한 임상적 연구 (Clinical Experience of Multiple Valve Replacement)

  • From Febrary 1984 to July 1992, 138 cases of multiple valve replacements were performed at the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Dongsan Medical Center, Keimyung University. There were 81 females and 57 males, and their ages ranged from 19 to 60 years [mean age, 40.1$\pm$10.9 years]. Thirteen of these patients had undergone previous cardiovascular procedures, with an average of 76.3 months between procedures[range, 3 to 180 months]. Mitral and aortic valve replacement were done in 135 patients, 2 underwent triple valve replacement and 1 underwent mitral and tricuspid valve replacement. Associated procedures were necessary in 20 patients[14.5%]. The operative mortality was 5.8% and the most common cause was low cardiac output. Late follow-up of 83% has been accomplished in 130 early survivors, with a late mortality of 5.9%. The late mortality was due to valve thrombosis in 2 patients, cerebral infarction in 1, heart failure in 1, arrhythmia in 1, and bleeding in l. Of those patients who survived, New York Heart Association functional class improved significantly[from 70% class III and IV before to 88% class I and II after]. Actuarial survival rate including all deaths was 88.8% at 8 years. The follow-up studies revealed that thromboembolism, reoperation and bleeding rate were 1.2%/patient-year, 0.85% /patient-year and 0.57%/patient-year at 8 years postoperatively. We concluded that valve thrombosis, embolism, and anticoagulant-related hemorrhage were the main risk factors of longterm survival of patients.
