The latest global COVID-19 pandemic has made the use of facial masks an important aspect of our lives. People are advised to cover their faces in public spaces to discourage illness from spreading. Using these face masks posed a significant concern about the exactness of the face identification method used to search and unlock telephones at the school/office. Many companies have already built the requisite data in-house to incorporate such a scheme, using face recognition as an authentication. Unfortunately, veiled faces hinder the detection and acknowledgment of these facial identity schemes and seek to invalidate the internal data collection. Biometric systems that use the face as authentication cause problems with detection or recognition (face or persons). In this research, a novel model has been developed to detect and recognize faces and persons for authentication using scale invariant features (SIFT) for the whole segmented face with an efficient local binary texture features (DLBP) in region of eyes in the masked face. The Fuzzy C means is utilized to segment the image. These mixed features are trained significantly in a convolution neural network (CNN) model. The main advantage of this model is that can detect and recognizing faces by assigning weights to the selected features aimed to grant or provoke permissions with high accuracy.
Automatic human face detection in a complex background is one of the difficult problems In this paper. we propose an effective automatic face detection system that can locate the face region in natural scene images when the system is used as a pre-processor of a face recog- nition system. We use two natural and powerful visual cues, the color and the human head shape. The outline of the human head can be generally described as being roughly elliptic in nature. In the first step of the proposed system, we have tried the approach of fitting the best Possible ellipse to the outline of the head In the next step, the method based on the human skin color space by selecting flesh tone regions in color images and histogramming their r(=R/(R+G+B)) and g(=G/R+G+B)) values. According to our experiment. the proposed system shows robust location results
This paper presents a new approach for the automatic mapping of discontinuities in a tunnel face based on its 3D digital model reconstructed by LiDAR scan or photogrammetry techniques. The main idea revolves around the identification of discontinuity areas in the 3D digital model of a tunnel face by segmenting its 2D projected images using a deep-learning semantic segmentation model called U-Net. The proposed deep learning model integrates various features including the projected RGB image, depth map image, and local surface properties-based images i.e., normal vector and curvature images to effectively segment areas of discontinuity in the images. Subsequently, the segmentation results are projected back onto the 3D model using depth maps and projection matrices to obtain an accurate representation of the location and extent of discontinuities within the 3D space. The performance of the segmentation model is evaluated by comparing the segmented results with their corresponding ground truths, which demonstrates the high accuracy of segmentation results with the intersection-over-union metric of approximately 0.8. Despite still being limited in training data, this method exhibits promising potential to address the limitations of conventional approaches, which only rely on normal vectors and unsupervised machine learning algorithms for grouping points in the 3D model into distinct sets of discontinuities.

In a sequence of images obtained by surveillance cameras, facial regions appear very small and their colors change abruptly by lighting condition. This paper proposes a new face detection scheme, robust on complex background, small size, and lighting conditions. The proposed method is consisted of three processes. In the first step, the candidates for the face regions are selected using face color distribution and motion information. In the second stage, the non-face regions are removed using face color ratio, boundary ratio, and average of column-wise intensity variation in the candidates. The face regions containing eyes and mouth are segmented and classified, and then they are scored using their topological relations in the last step. To speed up and improve a performance the above process, a block based image segmentation technique is used. The experiments have shown that the proposed algorithm detects faced regions with more than 91% of accuracy and less than 4.3% of false alarm rate.

In this paper, we propose the segmentation method for detecting the facial region by using watershed based on depth information and merge algorithm. The method consists of three steps: watershed segmentation, seed region detection, and merge. The input color image is segmented into the small uniform regions by watershed. The facial region can be detected by merging the uniform regions with chromaticity and edge constraints. The problem in the existing method using only chromaticity or edge can solved by the proposed method. The computer simulation is performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The simulation results shows that the proposed method is superior to segmentation facial region.
This paper proposes a new segmentation method of human races from grey scale images with clutter using a racial template and elliptical structure of the human head. Face detection technique can be applied in many areas of image processing such as face recognition, composition and computer graphics. Until now, many researches about face detection have been conducted, and applications in more complicated conditions are increasing. The general case is more in a complicated background than in a simple one, and a image with not only one face. Research and development of face detection in such a general case are growing rapidly, and the necessity for that is increasing continuously. Sirohey proposed a face detection method using linearized elliptical equation. The method designed in this paper is improved to be applicable even in the more general cases like where the face is much smaller than the image size and with many faces in one image using template matching and elliptic fitting technique.
In this paper, captured face-image was pre-processing, segmentation, and extracting features from thinning by differential operator and minute-delineation. A straight line in slope-intercept form was transformed at the $r-\theta$ domain using Hough Transform, instead of Housdorff distance are extract feature as length, rotation, displacement of lines from thinning line components by differentiation. This research proposed a new approach compare with Hough Transformation and Housdorff Distance for face recognition so that Hough transform is simple and fast processing of face recognition than processing by Housdorff Distance. Rcognition accuracy rate is that Housdorff method is higher than Hough transformation's method.

This paper presents a method for detection of an emergency signal expressed by arm gestures based on motion segmentation and face area detection in the surveillance system. The important indicators of emergency can be arm gestures and voice. We define an emergency signal as the 'Help Me' arm gestures in a rectangle around the face. The 'Help Me' arm gestures are detected by tracking changes in the direction of the horizontal motion vectors of left and right arms. The experimental results show that the proposed method successfully detects 'Help Me' emergency signal for a single person and distinguishes it from other similar arm gestures such as hand waving for 'Bye' and stretching. The proposed method can be used effectively in situations where people can't speak, and there is a language or voice disability.

It is interesting to locate homogeneous segments within a DNA sequence. Suppose that the DNA sequence has segments within which the observations follow the same residue frequency distribution, and between which observations have different distributions. In this setting, change points correspond to the end points of these segments. This article explores the use of a binary segmentation procedure in detecting the change points in the DNA sequence. The change points are determined using a sequence of nested hypothesis tests of whether a change point exists. At each test, we compare no change-point model with a single change-point model by using the Bayesian information criterion. Thus, the method circumvents the computational complexity one would normally face in problems with an unknown number of change points. We illustrate the procedure by analyzing the genome of the bacteriophage lambda.
The biggest difficulty the small and small business currently face is not to have the effective cusomer management system that is the computerization of management. This suggests their will to introduce data marketing in order to differentiate 'Customer Marketing' and 'One to One Marketing'. The potential needs as well as visible needs of customer should be considered in order to research and analyze the customer data. At this point mayor enterprises are paying much attention to Customer Segmentation and their related markets are expanding rapidly. I'll give a brief introduction to the Multi Criteria Importance-Performance Analysis and go into the problems that should be considered and which phase to emphasize when building this system.
