매쉬업을 적용한 기관 내 정보검색시스템 통합 방안 연구 - 국사편찬위원회 정보시스템을 중심으로 - (A Study on Integration of Internal Information Retrieval Systems using Mashup; National Institute of Korean History Information Systems)

  • 본 연구에서는 실시간으로 질의를 처리하고, 이용자의 요구에 보다 동적으로 응답한다는 장점을 가진 매쉬업을 이용하여 기관 내부 정보시스템을 통합검색하고자 하였다. 국사편찬위원회 기관 내부의 정보시스템 각각은 개별 도서관시스템에 준하는 정보의 양을 보여주고 있다. 기관 내부의 여러 시스템에 대한 통합검색서비스 또한 매쉬업 등 웹 2.0 기술을 적용하여 기관 외부 정보와 연계하는 통합검색 시도와 같은 맥락에서 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기관 내부에서 검색서비스를 제공하는 것을 전제로 하여 역사콘텐츠를 위한 국사편찬위원회 OpenAPI를 설계하고 메타데이터 형식 및 내용을 제안하였다.

  • Recently, the issue of ship nitration due to the large scale, high speed and lightweight of ship is emerging. For pleasantness in the cabin, shipbuilders are asked for strict vibration criteria and the degree of nitration level at a deckhouse became an important condition for taking order from customers. This study proposes a new optimization framework that is NASTRAN external call type optimization method (OptShip) and applies to an optimum design to decrease the nitration level of a deckhouse. The merits of this method are capable of using of global searching method and selecting of various objective function and design variables. The global optimization algorithms used here are random tabu search method which has fast converging speed and searches various size domains and genetic algorithm which searches multi-point solutions and has a good search capability in a complex space. By adapting OptShip to full-scale model, the validity of the suggested method was investigated.

도서추천 시스템 개선을 위한 도서이용 맥락 요소 탐색 (Exploring the Contextual Elements of Book Use to Improve Book Recommender Systems)

  • 본 연구는 기존의 도서추천 시스템 연구에서 간과되어 온 도서이용의 맥락 요소를 파악하기 위해, 다양한 도서탐색 배경을 지닌 적극적인 도서 이용자 15명을 대상으로 6가지 도서탐색 상황에서 생성하는 내용을 사고구술(think-aloud) 프로토콜을 통해 수집하였다. 수집된 도서이용 내용은 내용분석 과정을 통해 독자자문 서비스의 이론적 개념인 '어필 요소(appeal factor)'를 토대로 도서이용에 영향을 미치는 내부 어필 요소와 외부 어필 요소를 각각 식별하였으며, 도서탐색에 사용하는 정보원과 탐색방법 관련 개념들을 또한 세분화하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 도서추천 시스템 설계에 의미 있는 속성 데이터를 추출하고 반영하는 데 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

A Spiking Neural Network for Autonomous Search and Contour Tracking Inspired by C. elegans Chemotaxis and the Lévy Walk

  • Caenorhabditis elegans exhibits sophisticated chemotaxis behavior through two parallel strategies, klinokinesis and klinotaxis, executed entirely by a small nervous circuit. It is therefore suitable for inspiring fast and energy-efficient solutions for autonomous navigation. As a random search strategy, the Lévy walk is optimal for diverse animals when foraging without external chemical cues. In this study, by combining these biological strategies for the first time, we propose a spiking neural network model for search and contour tracking of specific concentrations of environmental variables. Specifically, we first design a klinotaxis module using spiking neurons. This module works in conjunction with a klinokinesis module, allowing rapid searches for the concentration setpoint and subsequent contour tracking with small deviations. Second, we build a random exploration module. It generates a Lévy walk in the absence of concentration gradients, increasing the chance of encountering gradients. Third, considering local extrema traps, we develop a termination module combined with an escape module to initiate or terminate the escape in a timely manner. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model integrating these modules can switch strategies autonomously according to the information from a single sensor and control steering through output spikes, enabling the model worm to efficiently navigate across various scenarios.

  • In this paper the structure of 2-DOF controller based on artificial immune network algorithms has been suggested for nonlinear system. Up to present time, a number of structures of the 2-DOF controllers are considered as 2-DOF (2-Degrees Of Freedom) control functions. However, a general view is provided that they are the special cases of either the state feedback or the modification of PID controllers. On the other hand, the immune network system possesses a self organizing and distributed memory, also it has an adaptive function by feed back law to its external environment and allows a PDP (parallel distributed processing) network to complete patterns against the environmental situation, since antibody recognizes specific antigens which are the foreign substances that invade living creatures. Therefore, it can provide optimal solution to external environment. Simulation results by immune based 2-DOF controller reveal that immune algorithm is an effective approach to search for 2-DOF controller.

Immune Algorithm Based Active PID Control for Structure Systems

  • An immune algorithm is a kind of evolutional computation strategies, which is developed in the basis of a real immune mechanism in the human body. Recently, scientific or engineering applications using this scheme are remarkably increased due to its significant ability in terms of adaptation and robustness for external disturbances. Particularly, this algorithm is efficient to search optimal parameters against complicated dynamic systems with uncertainty and perturbation. In this paper, we investigate an immune algorithm embedded Proportional Integral Derivate (called I-PID) control, in which an optimal parameter vector of the controller is determined offline by using a cell-mediated immune response of the immunized mechanism. For evaluation, we apply the proposed control to mitigation of vibrations for nonlinear structural systems, cased by external environment load such as winds and earthquakes. Comparing to traditional controls under same simulation scenarios, we demonstrate the innovation control is superior especially in robustness aspect.

Effectiveness of external agents in polluted sedimentary area

  • Sediment is a useful natural source but deteriorated continually by anthropogenic and industrial sources. Therefore, it is imperative to search a suitable method for improving or restoring sediment quality. Sediment has been tested to identify the effects of some external agents on a polluted area for 28 days. Chemical analysis and total viable counts (TVC) test have been conducted for 4 days interval to assess their performance. The analyses of chemical oxygen demand (COD), acid volatile sulfide (AVS), total phosphorous (T-P), total nitrogen (T-N) indicate that the chemical agents was more efficient to improve sediment quality whereas the microbial agent was more efficient for nutrient releasing from sediment. Oxygen releasing property of the chemical agent was thought to be providing with more congenial environment for the higher growth of the bacterial community than the direct application of microbial agents.

Glanceable and Informative WearOS User Interface for Kids and Parents

  • This paper proposes a wearable user interface intended for kids and parents using WearOS smartwatches. We first review what constitutes a kids smartwatch and then design UI components for watchfaces to be used by kids and parents. Different UI components ranging from activity, education, voice search, app usage, video, location, health, and quick dial are described. These components are either implemented as complications or on watchfaces and may require on-device standalone function, cross-device communication, and external database. We introduce a theme-based amusing UI for kids whereas simple and easily accessible components are recommended to parents' watchface. To illustrate use cases, we present 3 scenarios for enhancing communication between parents and child. To show feasibility and potential of our approach, we implement our proof-of-concept using commercial smartwatches, smartphones, and external cloud database. Furthermore, performance of checking app usages on different devices are presented, followed by discussion on limitations and future work.

근육의 크기와 형태의 초음파적 분석 (Ultrasonographic Analysis of the Size and Shape of the Muscles)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 근육 추출 방법에서 영상의 왜곡으로 인해 제외되었던 외복사근 영역의 근육을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 초음파 영상에서 측정할 근육 영역을 설정한 후, 초기 초음파 영상에서 불필요한 잡음을 제거하고 Ends-in Search Stretching 기법을 적용하여 근막과 근육 영역의 명암 대비를 강조한다. 전처리 과정을 통해 얻어진 영상에서 수직 방향으로 평균 이진화 기법을 적용한 후에 근막의 후보 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 근막의 후보 영역에서 형태학적인 특징을 이용하여 근막 영역 이외의 영역을 제거하고, 손실된 근막에 대해서는 형태학적 정보와 위치 정보를 이용하여 근막을 복원한다. 복원된 근막 영역에서 Convex 촬영시 나타나는 호의 정보를 이용하여 피부 영역을 제거한 후, Up-Down Search 방법을 적용하여 위 아래 방향으로 각각 탐색된 결과를 겹쳐서 근육의 후보 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 근육의 후보 영역에서 형태학적인 특징을 이용하여 잡음을 제거하고, 최종적으로 근육 영역을 추출한다. 근육 영역의 형태가 정확하게 추출되는 않은 경우에는 스미어링 기법을 적용하여 근육 영역을 복원한 후, 최소 자승법을 이용하여 근육의 두께를 측정한다. 제안된 방법을 복부의 초음파 영상에 적용하여 근육 영역을 추출한 결과, 제안된 방법이 초음파 영상에서 근육 영역들의 두께를 측정하는데 기존의 근육 측정 방법보다 효과적인 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
