This experiment was carried out to select the optimum thickness of polyethylene film for the nonastringency of astringent persimmon fruits during modified atmosphere(MA) storage of Cheongdo Bansi kept at 0$^{\circ}C$. The experimental plots were divided into 5 plots by film thickness(0.08, 0.10, 0.12, 0.14 and 0.16mm). The experimental items were the changes in concentration of CO2 and O2 in film brig, soluble tannin contents, loss of weight firmness and external appearance of fruits. The nonastringency of persimmon fruits can be achieved all groups excepting the 0.08mm film during MA storage. The sweet persimmon in film bag of 0.10 and 0.12mm maintained a high quality and firmness, but following the deastringency the fruits in 0.14 and 0.16mm developed off-color. The increasing of carbon dioxide level and decreasing of oxygen level in film bag created anaerobic condition at earth stage, and then it kept a constant level during stooge. According to film thickness the obvious difference in the change of soluble tannin contents external appearance and firmness were observed. It could be concluded that the optimum thickness of film for the desirable nonastringency on Cheongdo Bansi was 0.10mm.

This paper comprised a review of published literature dealing with the evaluation of tobacco quality and usability. Evaluation of tobacco quality and usability seems to be difficult not only due to our inability to define them in simple and easily measurable term but also due to their relations to the profitability of tobacco companies and safety of comsumers. Chemical constituents and smoking taste and aroma of the tobacco represent the underlying basis for tobacco quality: however, tobacco is still purchased upon its physical appearance. Grade and value system is very convenient for evaluating the tobacco quality, if the system is based on the triangular relationship of physical appearance, chemical and smoking properties of tobacco, and also based on intrinsic quality of the tobacco independent of external influences. Grade and value system for tobacco in Korea is thought to be influenced by external factors besides intrinsic quality. Therefore, we have to concern new systems that could be supplement to, or replacement for currently available grade and value system.

The relationship between electrical properties of YBaCuO superconductor and externally applied magnetic field was studied to develop a magnetic field apolarity sensor. The electrical resistance of the superconductor was increased by applying external magnetic field and even after removal of the magnetic field. The behavior was related to the magnetic flux trapped in the superconductor, which penetrates through the materials by the external magnetic field. Some portion of the superconductor was changed to a normal state by the trapped magnetic flux. The appearance of the normal state yielded to enhance the electrical resistance. Electrical characteristics of the superconductor with trapped magnetic flux were extremely sensitive to the external magnetic field and showed different responses depending on the direction of the magnetic field. Considering the observed properties of the superconductor with trapped magnetic flux, a magnetic sensor was fabricated to detect simultaneously both the intensity and the direction of the magnetic field.

The Fraser's dolphin, Lagenodelphis hosei has a pantropical distribution. Only several stranding or catch data were available from Japan and Taiwan in the north-west Pacific region. An adult female L. hosei stranded in Jeju-do, Korea. The specimen was identified by external features and skull measurements. It showed the same external appearance ratio and range in the number of teeth with L. hosei former described. The cranial measurements also well corresponded to condylobasal length proportions given in the previous descriptions of the holotype. This is the first record of the species in Korean waters. We report the information on external and osteological characters of the specimen.

The coercive field $H_{c}$ of amorphous Y-Fe alloys in the spin-glass state has been investigated. Foramorphous $Y_{10}Fe_{90}$ alloy, the thermal variations of $H_{c}$ in the maximum external field $H_{max}=300,\;600$ and 1 k Oe exhibit a maximum. Since spin-glass behavior is strongly affected by external magnetic fields, the maximum point moves to lower temperature with increasing $H_{max}$. The appearance of the maximum in $H_{c}$ has been discussed in terms of the change of the spin-glass state in the external magnetic field. When the value of $H_{max}$ is 55 kOe, the temperature dependence of $H_{c}$ has no maximum and shows an exponential decrease with increasing temperature. Similar trends have been observed over a wide concentration range. The concentration dependence of $H_{c}$ is associated with the magnetic phase diagram.

The purpose of this study is to observe the rapidly changing men's fashion style in the contemporary society and to analyze the features related to the major-subject groups, male university students. This information could be used for clothing companies to plan commodities, divide markets, and develop designs. The results are as follows. First, several opinions were varied among students' majors. For the opinion about the male students focusing on their external appearance, the students from all majors said that it depends on individual preference. For 4 reasons of external appearances, students from all majors frequently said that they should adjust their external appearance for employment. For the opinion about what is considered the most in the purchase of clothing, most of the students considered about the design of the cloth. For the opinion about influences on the purchase of clothing, major of the students were influenced by their friend or colleague. on the other hand, the students from artistic talent and physical education mentioned other opinion that it depends that it depends on situation and own intention is most important. Second, for the question about clothing behavior, with regard to monthly average shopping control expense, the students from all majors mentioned the amount less than KRW 50,000. For the opinion about the number of shopping, most student mentioned once a season. For the opinion about the store to purchase dress, most students mentioned the use of large shopping mall but the students from business administration and economy mentioned the use of discount store. Third, for the question about preferred style and preferred brand, with regard to the opinion about usual style, the students from all majors have worn casual style. For the opinion about the preferred style, most students mentioned casual style. For the opinion about man's accessory wearing, the students from all majors mentioned that it is good and for the opinion about coordination item, most students mentioned bag.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of the elderly's image or appearance to ageism. In this study, image included factors such as image management, external image and self and other's acceptance. To investigate the cause and effect of image to ageism, we purposely collected 315 samples from 4 senior welfare centers in Jeonju and exploited SEM (Structural equation modeling) for 297 cases excluding some cases with missing values. According to the results, first, we found that oneself and others' acceptance of the elderly's external image decreases the experience of ageism. Second, the behavior for image management resulted in oneself and others' acceptance of the image. Third, the behavior for image management positively influenced the external image. Fourth, the elderly's external image caused positive effects on oneself and others' acceptance of the image. Fifth, behavior for image management showed decreasing effects of the ageism experience.

As global interest in clothing spreads over the smart clothing which arouses high added-value in the apparel industry, this study is to develop a smart jacket with an electrically-vibrating device maintaining excellent appearance and comfort. The vibrating device has a massage function that could relieve muscle pain near shoulders and neck. The purposes of this research are to develop jacket pattern for men in their thirties considering body shapes and fashion trend, to develop a wearable device that is composed of motor and controller and integrate it into a jacket, and to assess the external appearance and functional satisfaction of the smart jacket through the wearing test. The results are as follows: 1. In order to develope an appropriate jacket pattern for men in their thirties, several patterns were assessed for their fitting comfort. The final pattern was completed after making alterations some parts, and showed high satisfaction as 3.6(on a five-point scale) in all categories. 2. A vibrating device was developed by connecting motor, controller, battery and switch. Developing this device, focus was maximizing the strength of motor and minimizing the heat generated from motor and controller. Snaps were placed between inner and outer cloth of jacket so that the vibrating device could be easily attachable and detachable. The motor was located around Trapezius where muscles often get stiff. A switch was designed to be used in selecting the modes of Strong, Weak, and Cross Tapping. 3. The wearing test was conducted to examine outer appearance, comfort for motion, and functionality of the smart jacket. The results of assessing outer appearance showed that the location for attaching the vibrating device was not noticeable but looked natural, and there is almost no change in outer appearance when the vibrating device operates. The result of assessing comfort of action revealed that wearer's satisfaction was high in all categories about activity, wearer's comfort, etc. The result also showed that wear's satisfaction for effects of vibrating massage, easiness in using the device, heat generation was not less than 3.5 in all categories except a category about noise.

This study analyzed the effect of the intrinsic and extrinsic attributes of gochujang, Korean red chili paste, on purchasing intention and recommendation intention for consumption. Survey participants were female, married, aged 30 - 39 years, and highly educated with graduation from a university. Most participants purchased gochujang 1 - 2 times per year, most commonly at a shopping mall, and acquired information on the gochujang product from an advertisement or sponsored TV shows. For the factor analysis, five variables for intrinsic quality were considered: namely, healthiness, economics, convenience, diversity, and sense, whereas three variables were considered for extrinsic quality: trust, external appearance, and image. The factor analysis also confirmed the correlation between the validity and the reliability of the purchasing and recommendation intentions. The effect of intrinsic quality of gochujang on purchasing and recommendation intentions was tested through a multiple regression analysis. The purchase intention was most significantly affected by healthiness, cost, and convenience. On the other hand, the recommendation intention was most significantly affected by the diversity and, to a lesser degree, by the healthiness of the product. Among the extrinsic qualities, trust of consumers and the product appearance had a significant effect on purchasing intention. Recommendation intention was significantly affected by the appearance. And trust significantly influenced the recommendation. Therefore, a concrete and systematic marketing approach considering these factors.

For an effective acupuncture treatment, the location of muscles around Sutaeumkyongkun and Suyangmyongkyongkun were researched and they were made contracted. The conclusion is as follows; 1. The contraction of muscles around Sutaeumkyongkun gives appearance of the postures ; free movement of thumb, abduction of extension of wrist, flexion and pronation of elbow, depression and abduction of girdle of superior limb, flexion, internal rotation and horizontal flexion of shoulder joint These postures all together consequently produces the action 'holding something in arms'. 2. The contraction of muscles around Suyangmyongkyongkun gives appearance of the postures; extension of metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joint of index finger extension and abduction of thumb, extension of wrist, extension and supination of elbow, adduction, elevation and upward rotation of girdle of superior limb, extension, abduction, adduction, internal rotation, external rotation, horizontal extension of shoulder joint, flexion and opposite rotation of neck. These postures all together consequently produces the action 'raising arms'.
