  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate an error reporting promoting program(ERPP) to systematically reduce the incidence rate of nursing errors in operating room. Methods. A non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design was used. Twenty-six operating room nurses who were in one university hospital in Busan participated in this study. They were stratified into four groups according to their operating room experience and were allocated to the experimental and control groups using a matching method. Mann-Whitney U Test was used to analyze the differences pre and post incidence rates of nursing errors between the two groups. Results. The incidence rate of nursing errors decreased significantly in the experimental group compared to the pre-test score from 28.4% to 15.7%. The incidence rate by domains, it decreased significantly in the 3 domains-"compliance of aseptic technique", "management of document", "environmental management" in the experimental group while it decreased in the control group which was applied ordinary error-reporting method. Conclusion. Error-reporting system can make possible to hold the errors in common and to learn from them. ERPP was effective to reduce the errors of recognition-related nursing activities. For the wake of more effective error-prevention, we will be better to apply effort of risk management along the whole health care system with this program.

  • Experimental error sources for thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA) were investigated and sample preparation method to reduce the experimental error was suggested. Maximum dissociation temperatures of EVA for the first and second dissociation reactions ($T_{m1}$ and $T_{m2}$, respectively) were measured. By decreasing the weight of raw EVA, the $T_{m1}$ increased but the the $T_{m2}$ decreased. When weight of the raw EVA was over 10 mg, the TGA curve showed abnormal behaviors. The abnormal TG behaviors were explained by gathering and instantaneous evaporation of acetic acid formed by deacetylation of the VA unit. When TGA analysis of EVA was performed using untreated (raw) EVA, the experimental errors were about 1%. In order to eliminate the abnormal TG behaviors and to reduce the experimental errors, EVA film made by solvent casting was used. For the treated EVA (EVA film), the abnormal TG behaviors did not appear, the $T_{m1}$ decreased by about $2^{\circ}C$ but the $T_{m2}$ increased by about $6^{\circ}C$, and the experimental errors were reduced by 0.5%.

  • In order to achieve systematical method for improving motion accuracy of hydrostatic table, an algorithm using finite element method is proposed in this paper. Quantification of averaging effect of oil film on motion error is performed theoretically by analysis on the relationship between spacial frequency of rail form error and motion error of table. Influences of film stiffness and pocket size on the motion error of table are also analyzed theoretically. Validity of the algorithm is verified experimentally from the test on the motion error of table with three types of rail which have different form profile. Experimental results show that the algorithm is very effective to analyze theoretically the motion error of hydrostatic table.

  • There are many possible disturbance sources on such a spacecraft, but reaction wheel assembly (RWA) which is generally used for spacecraft attitude control is anticipated to be the largest. These effects on degradation of performance of spacecraft such as attitude stability. In reaction wheel, disturbance caused by imbalance and speed error. It is hard to emulate speed error disturbance because it is not coincide with wheel frequency. This paper concentrates on emulating and analyzing the speed error disturbance. Firstly, classify the causes that lead to speed error disturbance which generate RPM fluctuation. Secondly, simulated with disturbance driver module and reaction wheel assembly which are developed by Spacecraft Control Lab. Experimental investigations have been carried out to test the disturbance emulator module as a disturbance generator for RWA. Measurements and test have been conducted on various fault. Frequency analysis of test data show that speed error disturbance effects on wheel settling wheel speed or fluctuation type.

  • For geometric accuracy in the net shape machining, the problem of tool deflection should be resolved in some fashion. In particular, this is crucial in finish cut operation where slim tools are used. The purpose of this paper is to verify the validity and effectiveness of the prediction model of the machined surface. Experimental results are presented for the cut of steel material with HSS endmill of diameter 6mm on machining center. The results shows that 1) the machining error due totool deflection is serious even in the low cutting load, 2) by using the mechanistic simulation model with experimental coefficients, the machining error was predicted with maximum prediction error of 10% which was significantly reduced to the desired level by the path modification method.

  • This paper introduces an approach of method to compensate accuracy error of diagonal direction. The measurement of squareness error is an important parameter in performance test of two axis Linear Motor and this exerts influence on accuracy error of diagonal test. However, previous knowledge management approaches are limited in deviation measurement of optical axis or restrictive elements of diagonal measurements using laser interferometer. But this proposed method calculated diagonal accuracy error which was occurred by squareness error and compensated squareness error using orthogonal correction method of PMAC. From this result, diagonal accuracy error is significantly reduced. This experimental results show that geometric error of squareness error is easily corrected by dynamic coordinate correction.

  • Underwater explosion properties for TNT, an ideal explosive, and DXD-04, a nonideal explosive, were numerically modeled with a one-dimensional Lagrangian hydrodynamic code. The equation of state parameters for detonation products for TNT and DXD-04 were obtained from the BKW code, assuming complete reaction. Burn of TNT was modeled by using the Chapman-Jouguet(CJ) volume burn technique, a programmed-burn technique, assuming instantaneous detonation reaction. Burn of DXD-04 was modeled by using the same technique and by using the reaction rate calibrated from two-dimensional steady-state detonation experiments. The calculations for TNT reproduced the experimental peak pressure of the shock wave propagating through water with an error of $3.0\%$ and the experimental oscillation period of the bubble formed of detonation products with an error of $2.3\%$. For DXD-04, the CJ volume burn technique could not reproduce the experimental observations. When the reaction rate calibrated from two-dimensional steady-state detonation experimental data, the calculated peak pressure was slightly higher by $7.3\%$ than the experimental data, but the calculated shock profile was in good agreement. The bubble period was reproduced with an error of $1.8\%$. These results demonstrated that underwater explosion properties for an ideal explosive can be predicted by using a programmed burn technique, and that, however, those for a nonideal explosive can be predicted only when a well-calibrated reaction rate is used.

  • The comprehensive system analysis for contour milling operation and its error has performed in this study. The obtained experimental results were from the practical points of view. In down-milling operation the contour error curve illustrates bigger thean actual workpiece radius. The contour error increased when the cutter loads increased. Through the procedural evaluation, it could ascertain the characteristics of generation mechanics in circular contour machining error, and the weight of each factors.
