The Effect of Experiential Marketing on Customer Satisfaction and Revisit Intention of Beauty Salon Franchise Stores

  • The purpose of this study was set as clarifying the relative importance of experiential marketing on customer satisfaction and revisit intention of beauty salon franchise stores while raising the competitiveness of beauty salon service by clarifying the causal relationship between these factors and revisit intention. The data was gathered using questionnaire targeting 350 adults living in Gwangju Metropolitan City and the analysis was performed using the SPSS 18.0 statistics package. The result of this study is summarized as follows. First, the factors forming up the experiential marketing of beauty salon franchise stores have been verified as a total of 5 dimensions to be shown as sense marketing, relation marketing, feel marketing, think marketing and action marketing. Second, the experiential marketing of beauty salon franchise stores was shown has having statistical significant effect on the revisit intention. Third, the experiential marketing of beauty salon franchise stores was shown has having statistical significant effect on the customer satisfaction. Fourth, while the indirect effect of each of experiential marketing and customer satisfaction of beauty salon franchise stores on the revisit intention was independently shown as significant, the indirect effect of experiential marketing by mediating customer satisfaction was not shown as significant.

The Effects of Perceived Experiential Marketing Activity on Consumers' Attitude toward Apparel Brands (의류 브랜드의 체험마케팅 활동에 대한 지각이 소비자 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향)

  • Active exploitation of experiential marketing is now practiced in diverse range of apparel brands such as luxury, sports and casual brands. Under such a market environments, this study attempts to verify the effects of consumer's experiential marketing perception by analyzing the formation process of brand attitude. The path from experiential marketing strategic modules (sense, feel, think, act, and relate) to brand loyalty is mediated by brand affect and brand trust. Two sports brands were selected as stimuli brands, and a survey was conducted on 286 consumers in their 20s and 30s. The study validates the importance of sense/feel marketing for apparel brands as it had extensive effects on brand affect which is highly significant in the formation of brand loyalty. As a result of comparative analysis of brand attitude and the path model of its formation for two brands which were different in consumers' perception of experiential marketing brand activities, the study realized that the higher the level of perceived experiential marketing, the higher the levels of brand affect, brand trust and brand loyalty. In particular, for brands perceived as actively engaged in experiential marketing, the path from the perception of experiential marketing activity to brand loyalty was clearly segmented between sensibility and rationality as sense/feel marketing had significant effects only on brand affect, and act/relate marketing only on brand trust. This study verifies the positive effects of perceived experiential marketing activities of apparel brands on brand equity, and proposes the strategic appropriateness of experiential marketing that embeds sensibility and feeling appeals.

  • The cosmetics industry is executing the experiential marketing strategy, which focuses the brand experiential experience for the connection with consumers and differentiated strategy for the company's brand image, according to the expansion of quality service, which increasingly consume a diverse experience. Among these, the low-priced cosmetics market is trying a variety of experiential marketing to provide positive experience of their product and their brand through a unique service or event to stimulate the motions of young woman, who are changing rapidly, and is actively utilizing the means of marketing to form brand equity for these experiential marketing. Therefore, this study is to find out the effect of customer experiential on the brand equity through a variety of experiential marketing of low-priced cosmetics brand and based on the result, we were able to find out that the experiential marketing is also used as important means of marketing for low-priced cosmetics market to secure the brand equity and to maintain long-term relationship with the customer. This is expected to provide strategic and practical implications to the cosmetic marketing managers for customer management and this will recognize the importance of customer experiential in cosmetic marketing and suggest proper marketing strategy plan. In this study, the multiple regression analysis was mainly uses to find out the influence between the variables for low-cost cosmetic brand but we're hoping to execute a study, which directly and indirectly covers the complete path by using the various parameters, which can be effected on the brand equity.

A Study of the Core Characteristics and Contribution of Consumer Experiential Marketing (소비자 체험마케팅의 핵심적 특성들과 기여에 대한 고찰)

  • This study deals with classification of various approaches regarding consumer experience, core characteristics, and contribution of experiential marketing. This study classifies seven approaches regarding consumer experience into 4 broad views (1)experience as experiential brand concept, 2)experience as a behavior, 3)experience as a behavior focusing on an affect, 4)experience as a holistic experience. Each of these 4 views of experience as well as the seven approaches is further explained in details. Five core characteristics of experiential marketing are suggested: l)forming a deep relationship between a customer and a brand, 2)being related to personal final values, 3)holistic experience with a brand, 4)fun, pleasure, and immersion, and 5)keeping customers through customer satisfaction and giving impression to a customer. Five propositions based on these core characteristics are suggested. The contribution of experiential marketing is suggested.

A case study on the experiential marketing of toddler and children's wear in Korea (국내 유아동복 브랜드의 체험 마케팅 사례 연구)

  • Despite the declining birth rate and consequent lower children population in Korea in recent years, there has nevertheless been found to be a positive trend in relation to the purchase of toddler and children's wear. This has led toddler and children's wear to pursue sales and marketing strategies. There is especially a growing number of experiential marketing that provide an empirical element, which stimulate con- sumers' emotions, and also create a relationship with a brand. Therefore, this research aims to serve as practical data for the planning and implementation of experiential marketing strategies through the analysis of experiential marketing cases conducted by brands of toddler and children's wear. The study examines the status of the Korean toddler and children's fashion market between 2009 and 2018. The domestic brands of toddler and children's wear were analyzed with the application of Bernd H. Schmitt's five experiential modules. The analysis results first showed that of the five modules, 'feel' held the highest proportion, followed by 'think' and 'act', and lastly 'sense' and 'relate'. Second, the experiential marketing stimulated more than three of the five senses. Third, experiential marketing that provided educational experiences to children was conducted. Fourth, an experience was provided for parents and children to enjoy together. Finally, product promotion and purchase were naturally linked. The study's results have confirmed that toddler and children's wear brands implement experiential marketing strategies, which convey the emotional and cultural experiences shared by parents and children in various ways.

  • This study aims to examine how experiential marketing and location influence customer loyalty mediated by customer satisfaction. This study's population was Cafe Excelso Rinjani customers in Semarang, Indonesia. The sampling employed a purposive sampling technique, with the following criteria: customers who visited and enjoyed Cafe Excelso Rinjani and aged more than 17 years. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis, and a single test was utilized to test for mediation. The results revealed that experiential marketing positively and significantly affected customers satisfaction. It showed that the better the experiential marketing was done, the more customer satisfaction would be. Location positively and significantly influenced customer satisfaction. It indicated that the more strategic the location, the more customer satisfaction increased. Meanwhile, experiential marketing had no impact on customer loyalty. Location positively and significantly affected customer loyalty at Cafe Excelso Rinjani Semarang. It denoted that the more strategic the location, the more customer loyalty increased. Besides, customer satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. It signified that, when customer satisfaction increased, customer loyalty would increase. Finally, customer satisfaction perfectly mediated the influence of experiential marketing on customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction mediated the effect of location on customer loyalty.

  • This research the impacts of the experiential marketing elements to the festival brand loyalty and the results are as follow. First, the research showed 2 difference parts as the age and income in the experience and cognitive items. Second, it showed all items of sensory experiences of experiential marketing, emotional experience, cognitive experiences positively affect to the festival brand loyalty. Through these results, first, we could suggest a new data for the development of the festival experience marketing for the enhancement of the festival brands in the future. Second, as the new research applying the festival and experiential marketing, we could found the experiential marketing through the intangible goods as like the festival could affect to the reinforcing of the brand loyalty.

  • This study explored the conceptual constructs of shopping values and experiential marketing components of home furnishing brands as well as their impacts on the behavioral intention toward home furnishing goods. The mediating roles of experiential marketing were investigated in this research. A survey was performed on female shoppers between the ages of 20 and 50 who have visited and shopped at home furnishing brand stores. The results of this research were as follows. 1) The results to analyze the sub-dimension of shopping values (Social, Differential, Utilitarian, Aesthetic, Entertaining, and Sustainable) and experiential marketing components (Sense, Emotion, Coordination information, and Customer services) showed factorial structures. 2) Aesthetic, Differential, and Utilitarian shopping values showed significantly positive influences on behavioral intentions of home furnishing brand products; in addition, Sense, Emotion, and Coordination information components of experiential marketing had a positive effect on behavioral intentions of home furnishing brand products. 3) The Emotion and Sense components of experiential marketing had important medicating roles in the relationship between shopping values and behavioral intentions of home furnishing brand products. This study highlighted that shopping values and experiential marketing components should be promoted among consumers to increase behavioral intentions of home furnishing brand products.

  • This study investigated the influences of experiential marketing components on shopping flow, store satisfaction, and purchase intention in fashion complex culture stores. The mediating effects of shopping flow and store satisfaction were also explored in the relationship between experiential marketing components of fashion multi-tasking culture stores and purchase intention. An online survey was conducted with male and female shoppers between the ages of 20 and 30 in Shanghai, China who visited fashion multi-tasking culture stores. Data from 165 participants were analyzed employing SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. There were several meaningful results of this study. First, the analysis of the subdimension of experiential marketing components (Sense, Feel, Think, and Act-Relate) clearly showed a factorial construct. Second, the components of experiential marketing showed significantly positive effects on shopping flow and store satisfaction in the fashion multi-tasking culture store. Third, the shopping flow and store satisfaction played important medicating roles in the relationship between experiential marketing components (Act-Relate on shopping flow, Sense and Act-Relate on store satisfaction) and purchase intention. The results suggest that experiential marketing components with shopping flow and store satisfaction should be promoted among Chinese consumers to enhance purchase intentions in fashion multi-tasking culture stores.

  • In the trend of concentrating on the consumer driven experience market as a new marketing concept according to the improvement of life standard and the change of consummation pattern, SPA brand has applied experience marketing strategies to the market successfully to be grown constantly with consumer secure and production of business benefit through brand image and positive consumer attraction. Therefore, this study aims to research the experiential representation element and attribute in the competitive Global SPA brand space due to the sustainable growth from the recent domestic fashion market based on the strategy type of the experiential marketing. Thus, the experiential marketing strategy type was drawn based on the experiential marketing and the theoretical reflections of Global SPA brand, and the SPA brand space was classified depending on the attribute of the commercial space for making the framework of case analysis, so it was progressed as the method of analysis through the experiential representation attribute in the SPA brand space. The marketing strategy and representation for advertising the image of company and product message by the SPA brand should be planned, so successful application of the experiential marketing to the shop is connected to the corporate interests, and forming the meaning more than space by impressing on the consumers the brand and arousing the emotional experience of the consumers and meeting the consumers' a variety of needs had effects on forming a lasting relationship between the brand and consumers. Therefore, this study is expected to be an opportunity to vitalize the domestic SPA brand behind the competition with the Global SPA brand.
