The structure of this contents consists of three modules that were designed by trans-disciplinary concept and situated learning theory. These three modules are: convergent problem presenting module, resource of knowledge module and learning of agent based modeling and IT tools module. After the satisfaction survey of the implemented content, out of 5 total value, the average value was 3.86 for effectiveness, 4.13 for convenience and 3.86 for design. The result of the survey shows that the users are generally satisfied. By using this u-learning contents, learners can experience and learn how to solve the convergent problem by utilizing IT tools without any limitation of device, time and space. At the same time, the proposal of structural design of contents can be a good guideline to the researchers to develop the convergent educational contents in the future.

In this research, the online lecture contents about the technical information type provided by Korea Cyber University was understood and we researched about the most preferred lecture type and the most effective lecture type in learning among the 1,173 students in Korea Cyber University who participated in this online survey. Also, we analyzed if the students' preference for the lecture type depended on their experience on that lecture type and we studied the students' claims postulated on the interface design of the lecture contents. The most preferred lecture type among students was e-Stream+flash and they answered that multi-media type lectures were the most effective lectures in learning. The majority of the students preferred lecture contents that they have experienced before and preferred the menu on the left side of the page in interface design. Not only the completeness, but the applications in design in lecture contents are also an important factor in online lectures. As the demand for cyber education in Korea is increasing, content design that can increase the academic performance should be further researched.

  • Many learning systems are applying Self-Directed Learning to improve learning efficiency. The degree of understanding of the same learning contents can be different even if the learner's level is same. Therefore, it is difficult to represent an effective learning experience because the learning is progressed by the determined difficulty of learning and the learning process even thought the provided content is difficult to understand. In this paper, we augmented SCORM to reconstruct the learning contents which are suitable for the changed level of each learner in real-time. Also, we designed and implemented this augmented SCORM based DCOS(Differential Contents Organization System). In order to provide the suitable contents for each learner, DCOS reorganizes learning contents based on the learner's level, the learner's achievement of learning objectives, and the correlation between learning objects, that is the component of the learning content. Each 30 Each 30 students studied e-learning contents, which are constructed based on the existing System and DCOS respectively. And the average score and system's satisfaction of the students who studied DCOS based e-learning contents was higher.

  • The Korea Maritime Safety Tribunal is an institution that investigates marine accidents in accordance with the maritime safety adjudication procedure when marine accidents occur. It requires its investigators to be capable in specializing in marine accidents, including possessing the following: a level 2 or higher maritime license, experience on boarding, and specialized knowledge on ships. It also requires separate training for technical competency related to maritime accident investigations. However, the current education for marine accident investigators mainly consists of administrative tasks, which is not suitable to improving the investigator's technological competency, making its development urgent. This study aims to design training contents for marine accident investigators to strengthen their technical competence. To this end, we analyzed the contents of current investigator training, and reviewed the relevant laws and regulations, and training contents of investigators in advanced maritime countries and similar transportation institutions in Korea. According to the results, the training contents were designed to focus on strengthening technical competency, and proposed as a five-day course for basic and professional training. Based on the designed training contents, if in-depth research is conducted by sufficiently reflecting the working conditions of marine accident investigators in Korea, it will greatly help in improving the investigators' skills.
