해상풍력단지의 내부 계통망 구성을 위한 신뢰도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reliability Evaluation for Constructing Inner Grid of Offshore Wind Farm)

  • In resent years, Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) is being actively developed. Typically, OWF has a better wind resource than onshore one, but also have a very high investment cost and maintenance cost. Furthermore, due to a difficulty of geographical access, OWF can be affected by the failure for a longer time. As the result, OWF has a higher loss cost. Therefore, a reliability evaluation should be performed more carefully at OWF planning stage. In this paper, a methodology for the reliability evaluation on inner grid is suggested. Inner grid connects wind turbines via submarine cables and transfers power to offshore substation. According to location of the faulted cable under layouts of inner grid, the transfer ability of inner grid is influenced. In order to indicate the transfer ability of inner grid, several indices are introduced such as PNDR, EEND and EENDC. To demonstrate the methodology described in this paper, diversity case studies were performed.

화재 후 운전원수동조치(OMA) 정량화를 위한 화재 인간신뢰도분석 (HRA) 요소에 대한 고찰 (An Investigation of Fire Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) Factors for Quantification of Post-fire Operator Manual Actions (OMA))

  • The purpose of this paper is to derive a quantified approach for Operator Manual Actions (OMAs) based on the existing fire Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) methodology developed by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). The existing fire HRA method was reviewed, and supplementary considerations for OMA quantification were established through a comparative analysis with NUREG-1852 criteria and the review of the existing literature. The OMA quantification approach involves a timeline that considers the occurrence of Multiple Spurious Operations (MSOs) during a Main Control Room Abandonment (MCRA) determination and movement towards the Remote Shutdown Panel (RSP) in the event of a Main Control Room (MCR) fire. The derived failure probability of an OMA from the approach proposed in this paper is expected to enhance the understanding of its reliability. Therefore, it allows moving beyond the deterministic classification of "reliable" or "unreliable" in NUREG-1852. Also, in the event of a nuclear power plant fire where multiple OMAs are required within a critical time range, it is anticipated that the OMA failure probability could serve as a criterion for prioritizing OMAs and determining their order of importance.

  • In this paper, through the development of a smart panel (LCD kiosk) controller, contents to develop a system that can be operate in a desired environment by operating the window control and ventilation facilities according to the automatic controller operation based on the set values such as temperature, humidity, sunlight, and rainfall. In particular, the MQTT protocol-based sensor module can be directly manufactured and applied at any time based on various communication and power sources such as wireless, wired, and PLC (power line communication) to obtain the desired data, as well as fire, power failure, and intrusion in the house. It is also a system that enables operation and monitoring from a remote location based on the cloud environment by connecting sensors. Kiosks are currently being used in many places, and the demand for them is on the rise, and an active influx of young people can be expected through environmental improvement. It is expected to increase interest and understanding for improvement.

선형가속기의 10년간 관리 자료를 바탕으로 한 통계분석 (Statistical analysis of failures of a medical linear accelerator over ten years)

  • 방사선 치료의 핵심 장비인 선형가속기의 10년간 관리 기록을 분석하여 효율적인 관리 지표로 활용하고자한다. 장비의 장애 요인을 다각적으로 분석하기위해 고장 원인을 치료기 부위별로 세분했고 각각이 미치는 영향을 세 단계로 구분하여 조사했다. 또한 장비 사용량이 고장에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 년도별 치료 환자수와 고장건수, 중요 부속의 평균 수명 등을 분석했다. 10년간 전체 고장건수는 587건 이였으며 이중 조사헤드부의 고장이 20%를 자치해 가장 높게 나타났으며 고장이 미치는 영향에 의한 분석에서는 일시적 장애해 당하는 중간 정도의 고장이 41%를 차지해 가장 높게 나타났다. 장애 영향이 가장 큰 조사 불가능 상태의 고장은 가속부에서 49%로 가장 높게 나타났으며 고장과 관련된 지표는 사용연수 및 치료건수와 밀접한 관계를 나타냈다. 중요 부속의 평균 수명은 클라이스트론과 싸이라트론의 경우 치료건수가 증가함에 따라 교체 주기가 빨라져 각각 제조사 권고치의 42%, 83% 수준이였다. 안정적인 치료서비스 제공을 위해서는 사용 연수가 증가함에 따라 장비 관리의 필요성이 더욱 중요시 되어야하며 10년간 장비 관리기록을 통해 얻은 각종 지표가 향후 효율적 관리의 좋은 지침이 될 것으로 사료된다.

무연솔더 범프 접촉 탐침 핀의 Sn 산화막 형성 기제 (Formation Mechanisms of Sn Oxide Films on Probe Pins Contacted with Pb-Free Solder Bumps)

  • In semiconductor manufacturing, the circuit integrity of packaged BGA devices is tested by measuring electrical resistance using test sockets. Test sockets have been reported to often fail earlier than the expected life-time due to high contact resistance. This has been attributed to the formation of Sn oxide films on the Au coating layer of the probe pins loaded on the socket. Similar to contact failure, and known as "fretting", this process widely occurs between two conductive surfaces due to the continual rupture and accumulation of oxide films. However, the failure mechanism at the probe pin differs from fretting. In this study, the microstructural processes and formation mechanisms of Sn oxide films developed on the probe pin surface were investigated. Failure analysis was conducted mainly by FIB-FESEM observations, along with EDX, AES, and XRD analyses. Soft and fresh Sn was found to be transferred repeatedly from the solder bump to the Au surface of the probe pins; it was then instantly oxidized to SnO. The $SnO_2$ phase is a more stable natural oxide, but SnO has been proved to grow on Sn thin film at low temperature (< $150^{\circ}C$). Further oxidation to $SnO_2$ is thought to be limited to 30%. The SnO film grew layer by layer up to 571 nm after testing of 50,500 cycles (1 nm/100 cycle). This resulted in the increase of contact resistance and thus of signal delay between the probe pin and the solder bump.

Cause Analysis for a Lining Damage in Sea Water System Piping Installed in a Korean Industrial Plant

  • Many Korean industrial plants including nuclear and fossil power plants use seawater as the ultimate heat sink to cool the heat generated by various facilities. Owing to the high corrosivity of seawater, facilities and piping made of metal material in contact with seawater are coated or lined with polymeric materials to avoid direct contact with seawater. However, polymeric materials used as coating and lining have some level of permeability to water and are degraded over time. Korean industrial plants have also experienced a gradual increase in the frequency of damage to pipes in seawater systems due to prolonged operating periods. In the event of a cavitation-like phenomenon, coating or lining inside the piping is likely to be damaged faster than expected. In this paper, the cause of water leakage due to base metal damage caused by the failure of the polyester lining in seawater system piping was assessed and the experience with establishing countermeasures to prevent such damage was described.

기관내삽관에서 속심일체형 삽관튜브 용이성에 관한 연구 (Validation study of integrated intubation tube with stylet(IITS) in tracheal intubation)

  • Purpose: Difficult organs or locations or inadequate tube intubations can cause complications. There are some cases in which the tube location changes or the tube is removed due to processing inside the organ while installing the stylet or rapid stylet removal. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate and develop an integrated intubation tube with stylet (IITS) for easier intubation of organs in emergency cases and reduce complications caused by the stylet. Methods: This study used a "Laerdal Airway Management Trainer". For stylet intubation, procedure No. 14 of the national practical test protocol was followed, but the removal step was omitted. In this study, each emergency case was intubated with an IITS, in which the stylet was not inserted or removed separately even though it has the function of an organ intubation stylet. Results: The existing classic ET intubation method had a success rate of 100% and had an average intubation time of 21.75 seconds, The developed IITS method was also successful in all cases and had an average intubation time of 15.78 seconds. Conclusion: Application of an IITS is expected to reduce intubation time and decrease inappropriate depth and intubation failure due to stylet removal, therefore improving the efficiency of airway maintenance.

  • 가속열화시험은 가속수명시험시에 고장 개수가 적거나 심지어 고장이 발생하지 않는 경우에도 부품의 신뢰성을 평가할 수 있는 유용한 수단이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 능동소자로 높은 유전용량을 갖는 적층 세라믹 콘덴서(X7R -55$^{\circ}C$~1$25^{\circ}C$)에 대한 가속열화시험을 실시하고, 정격온도의 최대치에서 다른 배율의 전압을 인가하여 단순선형회귀에 의한 특성치의 경시변화를 설명한다고 가정하였다. 최소제곱법을 적용하여 시료가 대수정규분포를 따를 때의 열화량을 설명한 후, 특성치-시간간의 선형관계 및 대수정규분포의 독립성을 검정하여 가정의 적절성을 검정하였다. 마지막으로 아이링모델에 의한 평균수명을 평가하였다.

One-Click Marketing Solution for Mobile Videos

  • In this paper, we propose a simple one-click marketing solution for mobile devices which can advertise a product which is embedded in a mobile video while watching the video on a smartphone. If a specific product of interest appears in the video to the user, one can simply click on the product in the video and a pop-up window with information about the product is proposed. The implementation of the system is expected to enable users to gain real-time information about the product while watching the video without having to search for the product again after watching the movie, and thereby facilitating more mobile commerce. We use a two-fold system to prevent the failure of tracking which often occurs on a single online tracking system, so that the user cannot always get the commercial product information.

  • Brown and Proschan(1983) introduced a model for imperfect repair. At each feilure of a device, with probability p, it is repaired completely or replaced with a new device(perfect repair), and with probability 1 - p, it is returned to the functioning state, but it is only recovered to its condition just prior to failure(imperfect repair or minimal repair). In this paper, we limit the number of consecutive minimal repairs by n. We find some useful properties about ${\mu}$$\_$k/, the expected time between the k-th and the (k + 1)-st repair under the assumption that only minimal repairs are performed. Then, we assign cost to each repair and find the value of n which minimizes the long-run average cost for a fixed p under the condition that distribution F of the device is DMRL.
