Purpose : We performed this study in order to investigate the effect of direct renin inhibition on an experimental animal model with nephrotoxic serum nephritis and tried to give useful information for clinical research and renin inhibitor treatment. Methods : Thirty BALB/c 6-week-old male mice were divided into 4 groups: control group (CO, n=5), control-treatment group with aliskiren (CT, n=5), disease group (DO, n=10), and disease treatment group with aliskiren (DT, n=10). Nephritis was induced by an intravenous injection of 0.25 mg/g weight of rabbit anti-GBM immunoglobulin G. Model 2002 Alzet mini-osmotic pumps (Durect Corp.) for aliskiren infusion were implanted into CT and DT. Each group strain was sacrificed serially one at a time on day 14. We estimated the protein-creatinine ratio in 12-hour-collected urine (UP/Cr) and measured the mesangial matrix score in the PAS-stained kidney of each strain. Results : One strain at CT and DT died on day 6 and 7, respectively. Each group strain was sacrificed serially at a time on day 10 because DO were seriously ill. The UP/Cr of each group is as follows: CO, $31.24{\pm}6.54mg/mg$, CT, $23.38{\pm}13.60mg/mg$, DO, $112.72{\pm}10.97mg/mg$, DT $114.07{\pm}32.30mg/mg$. There was no significant difference between DO and DT. The mesangial matrix score of each group was CO, $0.23{\pm}0.10$; CT, $0.13{\pm}0.03$; DO, $1.90{\pm}0.48$; and DT, $1.28{\pm}0.41$, respectively, and there was a significant difference between DO and DT in the extent of mesangial matrix expansion (P=0.008). Conclusion : We found that renin inhibition was able to suppress the mesangial matrix expansion in experimental mice with acute nephritis, although there were no significant differences in UP/Cr.

The present study was focused on investigation of proper processing conditions to develop physicochemical properties of extrudates using sea mustard and corn by single extruder. Response surface analysis was used to evaluate effects of extrusion variables on the quality of the extrudates. Physicochemical dependence variables of sea mustard extrudates with corn grits show a significance correlation of within $5\%$. Among the various dependence variables, the expansion ratio showed a high correlation with bulk density, break strength, water solubility index and yellowness. Bulk density correlated closely with water solubility index; break strength with water absorption index and lightness, and water absorption index with lightness. Water solubility index and lightness showed a significance correlation with yellowness of within $0.5\%$. Three dimensional graphic analysis on response surface regression was conducted with each of the dependent variables which revealed statistically significant relationship to independent variables: $15{\sim}21\%$ moisture content, $10{\sim}30\%$ sea mustard content and $95{\sim}115^{\circ}C$ die temperature. Expansion ratio decreased with increasing moisture and sea mustard content. It showed the highest value at $18\%$ moisture content, $10\%$ sea mustard content and $95^{\circ}C$ die temperature. and the lowest value was at $21\%$ moisture content, $30\%$ sea mustard content and $105^{\circ}C$ die temperature. Bulk density was highest at $21\%$ moisture content, $30\%$ sea mustard content and $105^{\circ}C$ die temperature. On the other hand, it was lowest at $18\%$ moisture content, $10\%$ sea mustard content and $95^{\circ}C$ die temperature. Break strength was highest at $18\%$ moisture content, $10\%$ sea mustard content and $115^{\circ}C$ die temperature, but lowest at $21\%$ moisture content, $30\%$ sea mustard content and $105^{\circ}C$ die temperature. Water solubility index increased in the range of $43.9{\sim}54.8\%$ as the moisture content increased.
The aim of this study was to analyse the quality of Yukwa puffed by using a vacuum puffing machine and compare to deep-fried Yukwa. The effect of vacuum puffing condition including heating temperature(100-${160^{\circ}C}$), preheating time(0-8 min) and vacuum puffing time(5-20 min) on physical and microstructure characteristics of the Yukwa was investigated. Vacuum puffed Yukwa at ${100^{\circ}C}$ heating temperature, 6 min preheating time and 10 min puffing time had highest value in volumetric expansion ratio(10.04) and lowest value in bulk density(0.15 g/$cm^{3}$). The breaking strength showed the lowest value of 140 g/$cm^{3}$ in vacuum puffing Yukwa at ${100^{\circ}C}$ heating temperature, 6 min preheating time and 15 min puffing time. The Yukwa puffed with the vacuum puffing machine at ${100^{\circ}C}$ heating temperature, 6 min preheating time and 15 min puffing time had the higher value of bulk density and the lower value of volumetric expansion ratio than those of deep-fried Yukwa. Increasing preheating time and vacuum puffing time caused an increase in white and an decrease in yellowness. The vacuum-puffed Yukwa exhibited smaller and uniform cell structure, while deep-fried Yukwa exhibited apparently in larger pores inside and smaller pores near the surface layer. The optimum condition of vacuum puffing machine for the production of vacuum-puffing Yukwa was ${120^{\circ}C}$ heating temperature, 4 min preheating time and 5 min puffing time.
This paper examines how a social investment approach can be applied in a comparative analysis of childcare arrangements. We compared changes in Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, Japan and Korea during the 2000s, focusing on four dimensions of social investment: activation, gender equality, quality of care, and the degree of state's intervention in the family. We considered leave systems and the number of children enrolled in formal care and education facilities as indicators for labour market activation. For gender equality, women's position in employment is considered with respect to labour market participation rates, proportion of permanent employment, and wage-sex ratio. Quality of care concerns child-to-staff ratio and care provided with government quality control. The state's intervention was measured as social spending on families as proportions of GDP and total social spending. Our analysis provides empirical evidence that Sweden and France are pioneers in this arena and that the UK, Germany, Korea, and Japan are path-shifters in their care paradigms, albeit to varying degrees. Is the social investment approach an adequate paradigm for care? In a normative sense, this approach has potential. However, the following issues remain unaddressed: gender equality should be achieved through an expansion in good-quality jobs, fathers should be encouraged to take on childcare duties, and families should have universal access to good-quality childcare services controlled by the government.

The measures to extend local education autonomy are as follows: First, it is necessary to correct the confusion of the legal system of the local education autonomy system. For this, Article 12, Paragraph 2 and 4 of the 「Special Act on Local Autonomy and Decentralization, and Restructuring of Local Administrative Systems」 which state that "The State shall endeavor to consolidate systems for autonomy in education and local government" and "The implementation of autonomy in education and the autonomous police system shall be prescribed separately by Acts" should be deleted. Second, it is necessary to clarify unnecessary legal matters and regulatory measures for unification at the national level and to proactively consider the introduction of the legal trust system, in which education affairs are designated as local governments' own work and the state carries out specific affairs. The decentralization of local education finance is a key factor for the development of local education autonomy, and it requires the transfer of authority and resources to the region, and the enhancement of local autonomy and corresponding responsibility. First, the ratio of special grants must be adjusted further (from 3% to 2%) or the ratio of national policy projects must be lowered. Second, the provision that requires a consultation with a mayor/governor when making a budget covered by transfers from general accounts should be deleted. Third, it is necessary to remove the elements that limit the authority of city and provincial councils. Fourth, it is necessary to integrate the national education tax and the local education tax to create the education autonomy tax (tentative name) for only one independent purpose. Fifth, it is necessary to strengthen the distribution of the total amount of grants and abolish the settlement regulations for the measurement items of standard financial demand. Sixth is the expansion of the participation of stakeholders and experts in the grant distribution process. Seventh, it is necessary to establish a long-term employment system by designating the education finance field as a special field. Eight is the expansion of cooperative governance.
Pressurized grouting is a common technique in geotechnical engineering applications to increase the stiffness and strength of the ground mass and to fill boreholes or void space in a tunnel lining and so on. Recently, the pressurized grouting has been applied to a soil-nailing system which is widely used to improve slope stability. Because interaction between pressurized grouting paste and adjacent ground mass is complicated and difficult to analyze, the soil-nailing design has been empirically performed in most geotechnical applications. The purpose of this study is to analyze the ground behavior induced by pressurized grouting paste with the aid of laboratory model tests. The laboratory tests are carried out for four kinds of granitic residual soils. When injecting pressure is applied to grout, the pressure measured in the adjacent ground initially increases for a while, which behaves in the way of the membrane model. With the lapse of time, the pressure in the adjacent ground decreases down to a value of residual stress because a portion of water in the grouting paste seeps into the adjacent ground. The seepage can be indicated by the fact that the ratio of water/cement in the grouting paste has decreased from a initial value of 50% to around 30% during the test. The reduction of the W/C ratio should cause to harden the grouting paste and increase the stiffness of it, which restricts the rebound of out-moved ground into the original position, and thus increase the in-situ stress by approximately 20% of the injecting pressures. The measured radial deformation of the ground under pressure is in good agreement with the expansion of a cylindrical cavity estimated by the cavity expansion theory. In-situ test revealed that the pullout resistance of a soil nailing with pressurized grouting is about 36% larger than that with regular grouting, caused by grout radius increase, residual stress effect, and/or roughness increase.

$ZrO_2$ is one of the most attractive high dielectric constant (high-k) materials. As integrated circuit device dimensions continue to be scaled down, high-k materials have been studied more to resolve the problems for replacing the EY31conventional $SiO_2$. $ZrO_2$ has many favorable properties as a high dielectric constant (k= 20~25), wide band gap (5~7 eV) as well as a close thermal expansion coefficient with Si that results in good thermal stability of the $ZrO_2/Si$ structure. In order to get fine-line patterns, plasma etching has been studied more in the fabrication of ultra large-scale integrated circuits. The relation between the etch characteristics of high-k dielectric materials and plasma properties is required to be studied more to match standard processing procedure with low damaged removal process. Due to the easy control of ion energy and flux, low ownership and simple structure of the inductively coupled plasma (ICP), we chose it for high-density plasma in our study. And the $BCl_3$ included in the gas due to the effective extraction of oxygen in the form of $BCl_xO_y$ compound In this study, the surface kinetic properties of $ZrO_2$ thin film was investigated in function of Ch addition to $BCl_3/Ar$ gas mixture ratio, RF power and DC-bias power based on substrate temperature. The figure 1 showed the etch rate of $ZrO_2$ thin film as function of gas mixing ratio of $Cl_2/BCl_3/Ar$ dependent on temperature. The chemical state of film was investigated using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The characteristics of the plasma were estimated using optical emission spectroscopy (OES). Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) was used for elemental analysis of etched surface.

This study showed the optimum conditions for producing rice extrudate added with the sea tangle powder, and presented the effects of moisture content, barrel temperature and the amount of sea tangle powder. From the results, the more the amount of sea tangle powder was added, the less the water absorption ratio was showed, while the more the texture became smooth, the more the expansion ratio increased. From the sensory evaluation, the best preference was obtained when the moisture content was $18\%$, and the barrel temperature was at $100^{\circ}C$. Between control and $10\%$ sea tangle, there was no significant difference in all observed parameters. But if more than $20\%$ sea tangle was added, low sensory evaluation scores were obtained due to the peculiar smell from sea tangle. From these results, addition of sea tangle below $10\%$(w/w) did not affect the quality of products.
We could say that the concrete filled steel tube structure is superior in the vlew of various
structure properties as to promote improvement of structural capacity to dtmonstrate heterogeneous material properties interdependently.
The compressive strength is increased by putting to tri axial stress because lateral expansion
of concrete 1s confined by the steel tube, when concrete conflned by steel tube fall under centric
axial load. Also, it have an advantage that decreasr of load carrying capacity 1s small, not
occuring section deficiency due to protect falling piienornonon by co~nprrssion fallurc of concrete.
So this study investigated for structural behaviors yroprrtiex of concwir. confined by steel
tube throughout a series of experlmerit with kcy parxncter, such as diameter-to-thickness(D / t)
ratio, strength of concrete as a study on properties of structural behaviors of confined concrete
confined by circular steel tube( tri axial stress). Frorn the expcrment results, the obtained
results, are surnrnarised as foliow.
(1) The restraint effect of concrete by steel tube was presented significantly as the D /t ratio
of steel tube and the strength of filled concrete decrease, and the confined concrete by circular
steel tube was increased respectively twice as much as 4-7 in deformation capacity at the ultimate
strength ,compared with those of non-confined concrete, so expected to increase flexible
effect of concrete.
(2) The emprical formula to predict the ultimate capacity of confined concrete by steel tube
and concrete filled steel tube column using restraint coefficient of concrete were proposed.

The performance characteristics of water-chilling heat pump using CO2 for the control of inverter frequency was investigated experimentally. An experimental apparatus is consisted of a compressor, a gas cooler, an expansion valve, an evaporator and a liquid receiver. All heat exchangers used in the test rig are counter flow type heat exchangers with concentric dual tubes, which are made of copper. The gas cooler and the evaporator consist of 6 and 4 straight sections respectively arranged in parallel, each has 2.4m length. The experimental results summarize as the following: for constant inlet temperature of evaporator and gas cooler, as mass flow rate, compression ratio and discharge pressure increases with the inverter frequency. And heating capacity and compressor work increases, but coefficient of performance(COP) decreases with the inverter frequency of compressor. As inlet temperature of secondary fluid in the evaporator increases from $15^{\circ}C$ to $25^{\circ}C$, compression ratio and compressor work decreases, but mass flow rate, heating capacity and COP increases with the inverter frequency of compressor. The above tendency is similar with performance variation with respect to the variation of inverter frequency in the conventional vapor compression refrigeration cycle.
