  • Recently, world-wide focusing on the interest for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with climate change and global warming, South Korea also has set up a national greenhouse gas reduction target and action plans seeking to achieve them. In particular, in the construction area, to encourage green building certification of the building and carbon labeling acquisition of building products, in order to reduce the environmental impact caused by the industrial activities have been in steady efforts. Therefore, this study estimates the life cycle carbon footprint of building construction materials applied to carbon emissions reduction technology and analyzes the results. Through the CO2 emissions analysis in construction phase and maintenance phase of the building, it provides basic resource for future research expansion and establishes a step-by-step whole life cycle carbon emissions reduction plan in new construction and existing buildings.

  • 최근 국내 건설시장은 내수시장의 침체와 포화상태로 인해 위기를 겪고 있다. 이와 같은 위기를 기회로 수많은 건설업체들은 해외로 눈길을 돌리고 있다. 이미 1965년 이후 해외진출은 시작되었지만, 현재까지의 진출 특성을 살펴보면, 플랜트에 치우친 공사수주와 정부의 근시안적인 전략 마련으로 인해 장기적인 시장 확보가 불가능한 상태이다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 국내건설업체의 해외건설시장 진출 특성을 분석하여 문제점을 도출하고, 이 문제점을 해결하기 위해 SWOT 분석을 통하여 새로운 전략을 제안하고자 한다.

교내 건설공사로 인한 학습환경 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of School Construction Work on the Learning Environment)

  • The number of schools which have passed 30 years after the construction takes up 30% (5% falling to class D and E) in Korea. So, the offices of education across the nation conduct large works for the expansion, improvement and renovation of the school. But as the work takes a lot of time, the work is also conducted while the students are studying at the schools. The work at the school causes the noise, dust, vibration as the school often has the reinforced concrete structure. So, as the windows are closed to prevent the nuisance from hampering the education, the problems related to the illumination, ventilation, and control of humidity and temperature are give damages to students studying the school buildings. Actually, as the current renovation or expansion is conducted across the nation due to the implementation of the new education system and the resulting integration and construction of hub school, specialized school, meister school and it causes a lot of nuisance to the learning students and others, there are a lot of complaints from concerned people. Accordingly this study suggests the method of evaluating the factors which affect the learning environment such as the noise, dust or fine dust and reducing the nuisances to the level proper for the learning environment when the existing school is expanded, improved or renovated.

  • In this thesis, the study on controlling of cracks of concrete box culvert in early ages is presented. The optimum construction method and economical analysis were proposed also through the experiment of the material and field test. As a result of the experiment of the material, using fly ash, CSA expansive agent and BELITE cement(type IV) showed good result in the control of cracks induced by heat of hydration and shrinkage. As a result of construction test analysis, the maintenance time of form system did not show a big difference in controlling of cracks. Control of distribution of reinforcement, spacing of expansion joint and use of BELITE cement showed big differences in the control of cracks in early ages. As a result of economical analysis, control of construction variables before construction can make it possible to reduce the repair expense.

  • By comparing the survey and the actual situation at hand, the results showed that the lowest floor slab, wall construction joints, and floor expansion joints were the most prone to leakage. A waterproofing design method in underground parts of apartments is proposed to prevent leakage in underground of apartments. Further research is required for the establishment of this detailed design and construction guideline in regards to this study.

제4세대 방사광가속기의 경제적 타당성 분석 (Economic Feasibility Studies on the 4th Generation Light Source)

  • On the contrary to the expansion of feasibility studies on public construction and development projects, there is few feasibility studies on S&T, especially large-scale basic research facilities. Based on this critical mind, we tried the first feasibility study on large-scale basic research facilities, that is, the 4th Generation Light Source. First, it is validated whether the construction of 4th Generation Light Source is economically feasible and second, if economically feasible, the optimal place and time for construction are analyzed by using Analytical Hierarchy Process. This research shows that the construction is economically feasible irregardless of scenarios on future bio-medicine industry growth and to construct at Pohang in 2006 is optimal strategy. On the basis of this analysis, the feasibility studies on large-scale basic research facilities are expected to be more expanded and developed.

  • Recently, the internal space organization of the building changes to the frame construction and flat slab construction in the wall type structure. And the use of light weight panel changing the internal joint use easily is increased. Therefore, in this research, the length change characteristic that the magnesium chloride addition rate reaches to the magnesium curing body tries to be studied. It could confirm according to the length change specific result that the magnesium chloride amount of addition reaches to the magnesium oxide curing body to expand. And the thing described below was the large-scale expansion the magnesium oxide addition rate 60%. And it showed up as 50, 40, 30, 20, and order of 10s (%). It could look at to form the hydrate of the SEM picture result needle-shaped of the Hardened.

  • In recent years, prices have risen sharply, and housing has become an object of investment. Accordingly, the expansion of the supply of public rental housing with publicity and the conversion of pre-sale are emerging as an alternative to stabilize the housing market. However, the method of calculating the pre-sale price applied for each rental period has a problem that there is a large difference from the construction cost at the time of construction As an improvement measure, there is a method of applying a conversion price for 5-year public rental housing and the price control. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, and we apply the most appropriate improvement measures in consideration of present and future values.

  • The importance of engineering design increases due to the expansion of engineering education certification. But there are not much teaching methods and examples of engineering design to be referred to the college classes. This paper introduces a new teaching and learning method of Action Learning adopted to a engineering design class in the Department of Architectural Engineering, J University in Korea. The class included a team project to find problems of facilities or safety management factors in a building construction site, and to provide the alternatives to solve the problems. The Action Learning helped to improve the learning effect of students and to increase the quality of the project deliverables.

  • This study identified the problems of the current technical education for beginner technical personnel engaged in CM companies, and suggested improvement plans for the problems. The item 'difficulty in improving practical practical skills' appeared the highest, and responses to the items 'insufficient educational programs to improve individual competency' and 'education contents do not keep pace with technological development or the trend of the times' As for improvement measures, 'expanding educational programs to strengthen practical skills' was the highest, followed by responses to 'expansion and systematization of online education' and 'diversification and segmentation of educational contents of each educational institution' appeared high.
