  • We have developed the calibration technique of the VT comparator using nonreactive standard resistors, which evaluates both accuracy and linearity of the VT comparator by comparing experimental values with theoretical values. The correction values of VT comparator obtained by using both our method and wide ratio error VT are consistent within the expanded uncertainty. Furthermore the specification for ratio error of VT comparator have been revaluated.

  • The linear sequence method is expanded in such a way that it may be applied to the boundary problem with non terminal state condition and its possibility under the existence of a corresponding costate vector P(t) is found. For an application a couple of the concrete physical models are illustrated and examined the effect of the sequence.

  • Orthogonalized Slater-type orbitals and Ortho-normalized Slater-type orbitals were derived from the conventional Slater-type orbitals (STO's) by use of the continuous orthonormalizing which is expanded from the Schmidt's orthogonalizing procedure. These orbitals have the merits which STO's have not, such as; they are ortho-normalized each other and have the same numbers of the radial nodes that the real hydrogenlike wave functions do, so that they must be a good basis functions of LCAO MO procedures, i.e., the best approximate representation of SCF method.

  • Recently, the transgenic animal production technique is very important for the production of bio-parmaceutical as animal bio-reactor system. However, the absence of survival evaluation in vitro produced transgenic embryos has been a problem of the low productivity of transgenic animal because of absent of pre-estimate of pregnancy after transgenic embryos transferred into recipient. Therefore, this study is conducted to improve efficiency of transgenic cattle production by improving the non-surgical embryo transfer (ET) method. Transgenic bovine embryos were produced by injection of feline immunodeficiency virus enhanced green fluorescent protein (FIV-EGFP) lentiviral vector into perivitelline space of in vitro matured MII stage oocytes, and then in vitro fertilization (IVF) was occured. Normal IVF and EGFP expressing blastocysts were transferred into recipients. Results indicated that 2 expanded blastocysts (34.7%) transferred group showed significantly (P<0.05) higher pregnancy rate than 1 expanded blastocyst (26.8%) transferred group. In case of parity of recipient, ET to heifer (34.9%) showed significantly (P<0.05) higher pregnancy rate than ET to multiparous recipient (21.2%). However, there are no significant differences of pregnancy rate between natural induced estrus and artificial induced estrus groups. Significantly (P<0.05) higher pregnancy rate was obtained from recipient group which have normal corpus luteum with crown group (34.8%) than normal corpus luteum without crown (13.6%). Additionally, treatment of $100{\mu}g$ Gn-RH injection to recipient group (38.6%) 1 day before ET significantly (P<0.05) increase pregnancy rate than non- Gn-RH injection to recipient group (38.6%). We also transferred 2 EGFP expressing expanded blastocysts to each 19 recipients, 7 recipients were pregnant and finally 5 EGFP transgenic cattle were produced under described ET condition. Therefore, our result suggested that transfer of 2 good-quality expanded blastocysts to $100{\mu}g$ of Gn-RH injected recipient which have normal corpus luteum with crown is feasible to produce transgenic cattle.

  • At present, in the case of pump fast optimization, there is a problem of rapid, accurate and effective prediction of cavitation performance. In "A Cavitation Performance Prediction Method for Pumps PART1-Proposal and Feasibility" [1], a new cavitation performance prediction method is proposed, and the feasibility of this method is demonstrated in combination with experiments of a mixed flow pump. However, whether this method is applicable to vane pumps with different specific speeds and whether the prediction results of this method are accurate is still worthy of further study. Combined with the experimental results, the research evaluates the sensitivity and accuracy at different flow rates. For a certain operating condition, the method has better sensitivity to different flow rates. This is suitable for multi-parameter multi-objective optimization of pump impeller. For the test mixed flow pump, the method is more accurate when the area ratios are 13.718% and 13.826%. The cavitation vortex flow is obtained through high-speed camera, and the correlation between cavitation flow structure and cavitation performance is established to provide more scientific support for cavitation performance prediction. The method is not only suitable for cavitation performance prediction of the mixed flow pump, but also can be expanded to cavitation performance prediction of blade type hydraulic machinery, which will solve the problem of rapid prediction of hydraulic machinery cavitation performance.

  • Micropiles consisting of steel bars and grouts are commonly used in underpinning methods to reinforce supports or to suppress the subsidence of existing structures. Recently, applications in the field of geotechnical engineering have expanded. Despite the increasing use of micropiles are used, the PHC or steel pile formula is still applied for the settlement amount of micropiles. Compared with field test results, the amount of micropile subsidence obtained from the existing method may result in a very large error in the displacement of the micropile. Therefore, it is difficult to utilize micropiles effectively. Hence, to solve this problem, this study evaluated the behaviors and support characteristics of micropiles through field compression and tensile tests, and proposed a method for predicting the amounts of their subsidence. To confirm the appropriateness of the proposed method, field test results and the results obtained using the proposed method were compared. It was found that the settlement amounts of the micropiles as predicted through the existing method were significantly overestimated (error ≈ 50-80%) relative to the field test results, whereas the settlement errors of the piles predicted through the proposed method decreased (error ≈6-32%). Thus, it is possible to reduce the previously overestimated amount of settlement, and the modified method of this study allows more efficient design than the conventional method.

  • The development of information & technology and the Internet provides various connecting routes between manufacturers with consumers. These expanded routes has made it Possible fer customers to directly transfer their voice to manufacturers, but n research on how the manufacturers respond the customers' needs has to be further conducted. In this paper, a method in which a best supplier would be chosen based on customers' needs from the perspective of a buyer tab been Presented. A method that makes it possible to evaluate and choose the best supplier in accordance with consumers' requirement by analyzing customers' needs and the evaluated data also hag been designed.

  • We have developed a current range extension method to obtain the ratio error and phase displacement of a current transformer (CT) by using absolute evaluation method and two different CTs. The method was applied to CTs under test with the current ratios of the range of 5,000 A / 1 A - 20,000 A / 1 A. The ratio error and phase displacement of the CT under test obtained in this study are consistent with those measured at the national institute in Germany using the same CT under test within an expanded uncertainty (k = 2) in the overall current ratios.

  • PFA (power flow analysis) has been recognized as a useful method in vibration analysis of medium-to-high frequency ranges. Until now, PFA method has been developed for steady-state vibration problems. In this paper, PFA method has been expanded to transient problem. New energy governing equations are derived considering time dependent terms in beam and plate. Analytic solutions of those equations are found in simple beam and plate, and are verified by comparing with modal solutions.
