The electromagnetic properties and thermal behavior of Mn-Zn ferrite cores used for the blocking filter in he Power Line Communication(PLC) application were investigated as the function of additives. The highest density and permeability of 4.98 g/㎤) and 8,221 respectively were obtained to the specimen with composition of MnO 24 mol%, ZnO 25 mol% and Fe$_2$O$_3$ 51 mol% added MnO$_3$ 400 ppm, SiO$_2$ 100 ppm and CaO 200 ppm since the uniform grains were organized and the microstructures were compacted through reduction of pores. The permeability was increased up to 13,904 as temperature of specimen increased to 11$0^{\circ}C$, however, it was decreased precipitously under 100 over 11$0^{\circ}C$. The exothermic behavior was observed in the frequency range from 1 kHz to 1 MHz that the maximum temperature of specimens became 102$^{\circ}C$ at 1 MHz. In the consequence, the Mn-Zn ferrite core developed by this research will maintain the stable electromagnetic properties since the temperature of ferrite core rose to 93$^{\circ}C$ in the range of 10 kHz to 450 kHz bandwidth qualified for PLC.

BSCT(60/30/10) powder specimens were fabricated by sol-gel method and BSCT thick films were fabricated by screen-printing method. The coating and drying procedure was repeated 6 times. Then the structural properties as a function of the sintering temperature. As a result of the TG-DTA, exothermic peak was observed at around $670^{\circ}C$ due to the crystalline phase. The BSCT sintered at $1430^{\circ}C$ showed the cubic perovskite structure. The prosity and thickness of the BSCT thick films was decreased with sintering temperature. The thickness of BSCT thick films at $1420^{\circ}C$ was approximately $40{\mu}m$.
Solderability and reaction properties were investigated for four Pb-free alloys as a function of Ag contents; Sn-4.0Ag-0.5Cu, Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu, Sn-2.5Ag-0.5Cu, and Sn-1.0Ag-0.5Cu. The alloy of the lowest Ag content, i.e., Sn-1.0Ag-0.5Cu, showed poor wetting properties as the reaction temperature decreased to 230oC. Variation of Ag concentration in the Sn-xAg-0.5Cu alloy shifted exothermic peaks indicating the undercooling temperature in DSC curve. For the aging process at 170oC, the thickness of IMCs at the board-side solder/Cu interface increased with the Ag concentration.
Lithium inserted into artificial carbon has been synthesized as a function of the Li concentration. The characteristics of these prepared compounds were determined from the studies using X-ray diffraction(XRD), solid nuclear magnetic resonance (NM R) spectrophotometric and differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) analysis. X-ray diffraction showed that lower stage intercalation compounds were formed with increasing Li concentration. In the case of the AG3, most compounds formed were of the stage 1 structure. Pure stage 1 structural defects of artificial graphite were not observed. 7Li-NMR data showed that bands are shifted toward higher frequencies with increasing lithium concentration; this is because non-occupied electron shells of Li increased in charge carrier density. Line widths of the Li inserted carbon compounds decreased slowly because of nonhomogeneous local magnetic order and the random electron spin direction for located Li between graphene layers. The enthalpy and entropy changes of the compounds can be obtained from the differential scanning calorimetric analysis results. From these results, it was found that exothermic and endothermic reactions of lithium inserted into artificial carbon are related to the thermal stability of lithium between artificial carbon graphene layers.
By using Density Functional Theory (DFT), we have performed alkali metal and alkaline earth metal inside fullerene-like BeO cluster (FLBeOC) in terms of energetic, geometric, charge transfer, work function and electronic properties. It has been found that encapsulated processes of the alkali metal are exothermic and thermodynamically more favorable than alkaline earth metal encapsulation, so that interaction energy ($E_{int}$) of the alkali metal encapsulation FLBeOC is in the range of -0.02 to -1.15 eV at level of theory. It is found that, the electronic properties of the pristine fullerene-like BeO cluster are much more sensitive to the alkali metal encapsulation in comparison to alkaline earth metal encapsulation. The alkali and alkaline earth metal encapsulated fullerene-like BeO cluster systems exhibit good sensitivity, promising electronic properties which may be useful for a wide variety of next-generation nano-sensor device components. The encapsulation of alkali and alkali earth metal may increase the electron emission current from the FLBeOC surface by reducing of the work function.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of capsulated slurry phase change material (PCM) on the thermal crack in mass concrete by experimental work and FEM analysis. In this study, three conditions of samples were prepared for evaluating the level of hydration heat, i.e., a material condition, a cement paste condition and a concrete condition. Also, a compressive strength test was conducted for FEM inverse analysis. Based on the results of the experiment, exothermic function coefficients of concrete with encapsulated slurry PCM were deducted by the inverse analysis. After that, they applied to FEM analysis of the mass scale concrete structures. From the results of this experiment, $31^{\circ}C$ capsulated slurry PCM had no super cooling phenomenon in the material condition. In the cement condition, hydration heat decreased by 34.61J when PCM of 1g was mixed. In the concrete condition, PCM of 6% was deducted as the best level in hydration heat absorption. In FEM inverse analysis, rate coefficient of reaction gradually decreased when PCM mixing ratio increased. But, temperature-rise coefficient increased when PCM mixing ratio exceeded 6%. For the inversed exothermic function coefficients applying to large scale concrete structures, a thermal cracking index increased by 0.05 when PCM of 1% was mixed.
In proton exchange membrane fuel cell, the heat is generated at the catalyst layer as result of exothermic electrochemical reaction. This heat increases temperature of gas diffusion layer and membrane whose conductivity is very sensitive to humidity, function of temperature. So it is very important to analysis heat transfer through fuel cell to maintain temperature at specified range. In this paper numerical simulation was done including reversible, irreversible, ionic resistance, water formation loss to source term of energy equation. Results show that irreversible and water formation loss contributes mainly to energy source term and as current density increases, all of energy source terms become increased and Nusselt number is increased as results of more heat generation. Particularly irreversible loss is found to be predominant among the all energy source and water formation at cathode channel influences the temperature distribution of fuel cell greatly.
