  • Gardermoen is chosen as the location for a new major airport for the Oslo area, The site is surrounded by various units and camps operated by the Norwegian national defence. A study was carried out to evaluate whether the occurrence of aircraft noise may result in the national defence having to restrict operations in established camps, and in areas where outdoor exercise, training and instruction are beeing carried out.

운동이 좌골신경 손상 F344쥐의 Neurotrophins, BDNF, NT-3, GAP-43 단백질 발현과 축삭재생에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Exercise on Neurotrophins, BDNF, NT-3, GAP43 Protein Expression and Axonal Regeneration after Sciatic Nerve Injury in F344 Rats)

  • 본 연구에서는 흰쥐의 좌골신경을 손상시킨 후 트레드밀 운동을 적용하여 신경돌기 성장과 좌골신경의 축삭 재생 및 신경성장 인자 발현 그리고 신경기능지수의 변화를 연구했다. 본 연구결과 좌골손상 후 트레드밀 운동을 실시한 그룹이 비운동군에 비해 축삭재생이 촉진되었고, 원위부의 좌골신경에서도 NGF, BDNF단백질 발현이 상당히 증가된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 좌골신경지수를 검사한 결과에서도 운동을 실시한 흰쥐가 비운동 흰쥐에 비해 기능적 회복이 상당히 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 좌골손상 후 운동의 실시가 좌골신경의 축삭재생 촉진과 신경영양인자의 발현증가를 통해 기능적 회복에 도움이 될 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 비만아동을 대상으로 12주간 중강도 유산소 운동을 통해 신체조성, 아디포넥틴, RBP-4, 혈관염증인자에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 대상자들은 두 집단으로, 운동군(n=15)은 12주간 중강도 유산소 운동을 실시하였고, 대조군(n=13)은 운동 프로그램에 참여하지 않았다. 운동군은 여유심박수 50%의 운동강도로 300 kcal에 도달할 때까지 트레드밀에서 런닝을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다 : 운동군이 통제군보다 체중, 체질량지수, 체지방률, 수축기 혈압과 이완기 혈압이 각각 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났고(p<0.05), 최대산소섭취량은 운동군에서 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 공복시 혈당, 인슐린과 인슐린저항성은 운동군에서 유의하게 감소하였고(p<0.05), 아디포넥틴은 12주 운동 후 운동군에서 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 또한, 혈중 RBP-4, CRP, IL-6 농도는 대조군보다 운동군에서 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 본 연구에서 12주간 규칙적인 유산소 운동 프로그램은 비만 아동들의 염증과 신체지수 개선에 긍정적인 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

The Effect of Swiss Ball Program on Lower Extremity Function of Elderly with Mild Cognitive Impairment

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of swiss ball program training on lower extremity function of old elderly with mild cognitive impairment. The subjects were 30 mild cognitive impairment eldrly people aged between 65 and 80, who were divided into the swiss ball program training group(n=15) and the control group(n=15). The swiss ball program training group engaged in a 50-minute exercise session using. Lower extremity function scale of the two groups were measured before and after the intervention. The results are as follows. According to the swiss ball program training conducted to examine the effects of the training on lower extremity function, Moreover, the two groups showed significant differences in lower extremity function. These results indicate that virtual reality training is effective in improving lower extremity function. To conclusion, swiss ball program was found to have a positive effect on elderly lower extremity function. Swiss ball program training can be proposed as a form of fall prevention exercise for the mild cognitive impairment. Swiss ball program may be helpful to reduce the incidence of dementia and behavioral complications.

Effect of Intensive Ankle Training Using Biofeedback on Normal Adults' Ability to Control Weight Distribution

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study is to investigate whether intensive ankle training using biofeedback to increase proprioceptive senses and ankle-joint muscle strength effectively improves the balance of normal adults. Method: This study included 20 voluntary participants with normal adults. The subjects were randomly divided into 2 groups: the biofeedback intensive ankle training group (n=10) and the ankle training group (n=10). The biofeedback group used a visual biofeedback program. Subjects of the group that underwent ankle training only tried to keep their bodies balanced as well as possible on an Aero-Step. Both groups performed the exercise equally for three 30-minute sessions weekly for six weeks. The differences between the measurements before and after the experiment were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed-rank tests. Mann-Whitney U tests were used to analyze the differences in variations between the groups. Results: The biofeedback group showed significant differences in the weight distributions A, B, C, D, LEFT, and HEEL and on the weight-distribution index. In contrast, the ankle training group showed significant differences in the weight distributions A, C, and LEFT. A comparison of the differences between the two groups found significant differences between them in the weight distributions A, B, C, D, LEFT, and HEEL. Conclusion: The biofeedback group showed a greater ability to control weight distribution. A longer experimental period involving more subjects would aid in developing exercise programs that are more diverse.

Circuit Training이 비만중년여성의 여성호르몬, 혈중지질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Circuit Training on Estrogen Hormone, Serum Lipids in Obese Middle-aged Women)

  • This study is supposed to offer data related to whether circulation training(aerobic and anaerobic exercise) focused on overweight women has positive effects on reducing fat and increasing muscles for middle-aged women. This study aims to investigate how the circulation training effect overweight middle-aged women's female hormone, blood lipid, which offers basic data of exercise program to keep the overweight middle-aged women healthy. Participants for the study are 30 to 45-year-women who were willing to take part in a M Sports Diet Program in G gu, B metropolitan city, did not have any disease. They were 29 overweight women and showed more than 30% of body fat percentage. Female hormone, blood lipid were measured twice before and in 12 weeks after exercise. The results obtained from this study are given as in the following. Although estrogen has significantly increased after the circulation training, there was no meaningful difference from the control group. After 12-weeks-circulation training, even though there were no meaningful differences. before the training, the circulation training group was significantly higher than the control group. Although TC has significantly decreased after the circulation training, there was no meaningful difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly lower than the control group. Even though TG was no significantly decreased after the circulation training, there was no significantly difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly lower than the control group. Even though HDL-C has significantly increased after the circulation training, there was no meaningful difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly higher than the control group. Even though LDL-C has significantly decreased after the circulation training, there was no significantly difference from the control group. the circulation training group was significantly lower than the control group.

4주간 달리기 운동이 흰쥐의 전경골근에서 ERK 및 JNK의 활성화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of 4 Week Exercise on Activation of Extracellular Signal-regulated Kinases and c-Jun N-terminal Kinase Pathways in Rat Tibialis Muscle)

  • The effect of either low or high intensity four weeks exercise treadmill running on the activation of the extracellular-signal regulated protein kinase (ERK1/2) and the c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK) pathways was determined in rat tibialis muscle. Sprague-Dawley rats were assigned to one of three groups: (i) sedentary group(NE; n=10); (ii) low intensity exercise group (8m/min; LIE; n=10); and (iii) high intensity exercise group(28m/min; HIE; n=10). The training regimens were planned so that animals covered the same distance and had similar glycogenutilization for both LIE and HIE exercise sessions. After four weeks exercise, 48 h after the last exercise bout obtained samples. pERK1 increased 1.5 times comparing with the sedentary group in the low intensity group while it increased 11.7 times in high intensity group, in the tibialis of rats. In the low intensity group, pERK2 increased 1.4 times comparing with the sedentary group while it increased 3.3 times in high intensity group. While pJNK1 decreased 0.9 times, comparing with the sedentary group, pJNK2 was increased to 0.5 times in the low intensity group. But in high intensity group, pJNK2 decreased 0.7 times while pJNK1 didn't show any change. In conclusion, Four weeks exercise of different intensities results in tibialis muscle activation of intracellular signal pathways, which may be one mechanism regulating specific adaptations induced by different exercise intensities.

12주간 복합운동 및 Policosanol 섭취가 비만 중년여성의 염증표지인자 및 렙틴에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of 12-Weeks Combined Training and Policosanol Supplimentation Inflammatory and Maker and Leptin in Obese Women)

  • 본 연구는 12주간 비만 여성을 대상으로 규칙적인 복합운동과 policosanol 섭취 병행이 염증표지인자 LDH와 CPK, Leptin에 미치는 변화를 분석함으로써 복합운동과 policosanol 섭취 병행이 생체 방어반응과 지방세포 조절 호르몬 변화에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 있다. 통제집단 12명, policosanol 섭취집단 12명, 복합운동집단 12명, 복합 처치 집단 12명으로 무선 배정하였고 주 2회는 근저항성 운동, 주2회는 걷기형태의 유산소운동을 실시하였다. 12주 후 LDH는 운동시기에서 유의한 차이를 보였고(p<.01), 운동시기와 그룹간의 상호작용 효과에서도 유의한 차이 (p<.05)를 나타냈다. 또한 leptin의 변화에서는 운동시기에 유의한 차이(p<.001)를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 복합 운동이나, policosanol 섭취는 염증표지인자와 렙틴에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 복합운동과 policosanol 섭취의 병행은 그 효과를 더욱 증대시키는 것으로 사료된다.

운동요법이 노인의 근력, 유연성 및 IADL에 미치는 영향 (Effects of The Oldwomen's Muscular Strength Flexibility and IADL by Exercise Therapy)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise therapy to oldwomen's muscle strength, flexibility and IADL. To identify the effect of exercise therapy on oldwomen's muscle strength, flexibility and IADL, this study attempted to determine grip strength, back strength, leg strength, flexibility of upper and low(flexion, extension, abduction), flexibility of trunk(flexion, extension) and IADL, using dynamometer, goniometer and Geriatric center IADL, for 34 female. Thirty-four subjects participating in this study consisted of A group(from sixty-five to sixty-nine, eleven person), B group(from seventy to seventy-four, twelve person), C group(over seventy-five years old, eleven person). Data from the findings of this experiment were computed for and standard deviation by using repeated measurement of MINI TAB. As a result, the following conclusion was drawn : 1. Subject group showed significantly higher scores on effect of exercise between three age group after regular exercise. 2. Subject group showed significantly higher scores on muscle strength(grip strength, back strength, leg strength) and there is a difference between three age group after regular exercise of muscle strength. 3. Subject group showed significantly higher scores on flexibility (upper, lower, trunk) and there is a difference between three age group after regular exercise of flexibility. 4. Subject group showed significantly higher scores on IADL(Instrumental activities of daily living) and there is a difference between three age group after regular exercise. As a result of this study, the effect of exercise training program had improved muscle strength, ROM (range of motion) of joint, IADL. Thus exercise training program could be beneficially applied for the prevention of disability and promotion of health and wellbeing in the aged easily and safely.
