  • This research aims to introduce the external type of natural funeral landscape facilities and to examine the effect of its visual image factor on the preference for them. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among 549 persons including 224 experts on the funeral services. The majority of respondents in this research live in the Seoul, Daejeon, Jeonju, and Busan areas. Burial place facilities and memorial facilities among natural funeral landscape facilities for the study are selected and categorized into five types, respectively. Of these, the funeral area type includes a woody style, a garden style, a flower style, a grass style and a scattered ashes style. As a result, firstly, from the factor analysis, three image factors are extracted such as a physical factor, an external-appearing factor and a symmetrical factor from the burial place facilities. Secondly, the most flavored among 5 burial palace facilities is woody style, followed a flower style, a garde style, a grass style and a scattered ashes style. Third, we draw a perception map based on the average values of each image factors. Forth, we find some significant difference in the evaluation of the image factors of burial place facilities by characteristics of the respondents. The gender, age, the education level and the facilities type reveal the significant difference in a physical factor. Moreover, we find a significant difference in the level of an external-appearing factor according to a gender, religion, a group members, and in the level of a symmetrical factor according to the gender, the education level, and the facilities type. Fifth, we execute a regression analysis in order to analyze the effect of the image factors on its preference for the burial place and memorial facilities. We find a positive effect of a physical, an external appearing and a symmetrical factor on its preference. Finally, we examine a moderating effect of a group member between the image factors and its preference. We find a significant positive moderating effect of an external-appearing factor for a garden style in the case of the burial place facilities. In this study are suggests that fix the problem of natural funeral landscape facilities typical naming contribute to the development of the early beginning natural funeral landscape facilities and study on development of natural funeral landscape facilities suitable for domestic. • The ocean tide loading (OTL) is an important factor for the GPS positioning, especially in the height direction. The shorter of the distance to the ocean, the larger of the error by the OTL. The influence will be changed when we measure in different place and the order of magnitude is from few centimeters to ten centimeters. In this study, more than ten kinds of the OTL models were collected and applied on the GPS static relative positioning in Taiwan. The GPS observations including five stations were obtained from Nov. 9, 2004 to Feb. 23, 2005 and we used the Bernese GPS software to execute the data processing. In this period, the average amplitudes of the 3-D coordinates are as follows: N is 0.4 cm, E is 0.7 cm, h is 1.8 cm at Kinmen station; N is 0.7 cm, E is 1.3 cm, h is 2.3 cm at Lanyu station; N is 0.5 cm, E is 0.7 cm, h is 2.0 cm at Matsu station; N is 0.6 cm, E is 0.6 cm, h is 2.0 cm at Penghu station and N is 0.5 cm, E is 1.2 cm, h is 1.7 cm at Hsinchu station. Moreover, we will analyze the advantage and disadvantage of every kind of the OTL models in different environments to offer some information to the GPS users and enhance the precision of the GPS positioning.

  • OneNAND flash combines the advantages of NAND and NOR flash, and has become an alternative to the former. But the advanced features of OneNAND flash are not utilized effectively in demand paging systems designed for NAND flash. We propose delayed dual buffering, a demand paging system which fully exploits the random-access I/O interface and dual page buffers of OneNAND flash demand paging system. It effectively reduces the time of page transfer from the OneNAND page buffer to the main memory. On average, it achieves and 28.5% reduction in execution time and 4.4% reduction in paging system energy consumption.

  • Recently, Housing projects in the center of the Metropolis are getting higher, larger, more complex gradually, the resources are increasing greatly. Especially, the right manpower in the right place could quite important factor because the construction cites are wide and many subcontractors and labors throw into finish works in High-rise Housing projects. Differing from apartment building projects. it is only four or five years that high rise building projects are started so, there is little data for manpower information. Furthermore it is difficult that the data gathering and managing because manpower management is usually used to execute by subcontractors from supply to demand. Consequently, this study, proposed develop management for accurate manpower plan and efficient collection and practical use of manpower information through analysis of present condition in construction sites

  • Beam-column joints are a critical component of reinforced concrete frame structures. They are responsible for transferring forces between adjoining beams and columns while limiting story drifts and maintaining structural integrity. During severe loading, beam-column joints deform significantly, affecting, and sometimes governing, the overall response of frame structures. While most failure modes for beam and column elements are commonly considered in plastic-hinge-based global frame analyses, the beam-column joint failure modes, such as concrete shear and reinforcement bond slip, are frequently omitted. One reason for this is the dearth of published guidance on what type of hinges to use, how to derive the joint hinge properties, and where to place these hinges. Many beam-column joint models are available in literature but their adoption by practicing structural engineers has been limited due to their complex nature and lack of practical application tools. The objective of this study is to provide a comparative review of the available beam-column joint models and present a practical joint modeling approach for integration into commonly used global frame analysis software. The presented modeling approach uses rotational spring models and is capable of modeling both interior and exterior joints with or without transverse reinforcement. A spreadsheet tool is also developed to execute the mathematical calculations and derive the shear stress-strain and moment-rotation curves ready for inputting into the global frame analysis. The application of the approach is presented by modeling a beam column joint specimen which was tested experimentally. Important modeling considerations are also presented to assist practitioners in properly modeling beam-column joints in frame analyses.

  • In recent large-scale structures, as mass concrete type structure is frequently applied to the building, temperature crack due to hydration heat needs to be considered. Since a volume change is internally or externally restricted in a mold after placing concrete, temperature crack of mass concrete takes place. By this reason, the reduction method to control this crack is required. In this study, low heat mixture and hydration heat difference is used to execute the analysis of hydration heat, considering the changes of heat transfer coefficient according to curing conditions and block placement of mass concrete. For the analytical modelling, original portland cement and concrete of low heat mixture are placed in the upper and lower payer, respectively. A convection boundary condition is fixed because mass concrete of block placement is characterized by the difference of mold form and curing condition. Through the analysis results considering the changes of low heat mixture, block placement, and heat transfer coefficient, we check out the temperature and stress distribution and analyze the temperature crack reduction effect.

  • A new software paradigm is required on the development of network and various service requirements. With this, many studies on a mobile agent have been made. For the execution of the mobile agent, migration is the most important factor that influences the performance of the mobile agent. In this paper we propose the method that leads to high migration efficiency in order to improve the performance. The features of our migration technique are as follows. First, the migration technique creates the dynamic itinerary that appropriately copes with the network conditions and the platform changes to improve the agent execution efficiency. Second, it perfecters an executed code to reduce the amount of the mobile data and reduces the execution time by instantiating the agent in advance. Third, it improves the execution efficiency by using the checkpoint-based recovery method that does not execute the agent again and recovers the process states even though the errors take place. Though the simulation we compare the proposed method with the existing methods. The simulation result shows that the proposed method outperform the existing methods in terms of migration.

  • In mobile agent environments, migration of an agent occurs continuously due to the mobility of agents. So cascaded delegation can occur among places for delegating the privilege to execute the agent. Because the existing delegation scheme considers only the delegation between two places that participate in migration of an agent, it does not support secure cascaded delegation. In this paper, we propose a cascaded delegation scheme that provides agents with secure cascaded delegation in mobile agent environments. Depending on the trust-relationship among places, the proposed scheme achieves the goal by nesting each delegation token or by nesting only initial token signed by creator of the agent within the signed part of the next immediate delegation token. And we prove that the proposed scheme is secure against the attack of replaying a message and the attack of substituting a delegation token.

  • It is the advantage of robot programming to improve the learners' interest. However, the drawback is existed in the fact that it is not easy to determine whether the problem lies in the hardware factor or programmed logic when an error takes place. This study is an attempt to develop a simulation tool which assists learners to concentrate on the problems not relating to robot assembling but to robot program. It aims to enable beginners make a sketch of their ideas and examine their logic through simulation. Therefore, an Etoys-based robot programming tool is developed to allows user to download and execute the simulated program into an assembled robot. The significance of this study is that easy activity of sketch-based simulation can support learners to understand how the principles of computer science are applied in daily life such as an automatic door system.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate young consumer motivation in regards to shopping mall. Young adults are an emerging age group that has economic autonomy and power of making independent decisions. In addition, this young segment providing an interesting challenges and opportunities for marketing professionals. Therefore, it is pertinent to analyse their shopping motivations, so that the marketers can understand and influence the consumption behaviour of this specific group. A survey using self-administered questionnaire was conducted to assess the mall-directed shopping habits and shopping orientations. A total of 164 usable surveys were obtained. In addition of exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling was applied to prove the hypotheses. We have found that young Australian shoppers were motivated to visit malls primarily by the role enactment and exploration dimensions. They were the strongest motivators which explaining why young Australian consumers patronize malls. Young consumers of Australia enjoyed the mall environment, exploring new things, socializing with friends, comparing prices and the variety of products and services offered. The results of our study have several implications that should be of benefit to the retailing industry and mall management. Developers of malls must develop their mall more than simply a place for buying products. As such, mall management should make sure that their mall atmospherics offer a mall environment that is pleasing to multiple senses, to ensure it is conducive for shoppers to stay and spend more of their time and money. Mall management must execute strategies to maintain their attraction to younger consumers, perhaps by including stores that are futuristic and offer the most advanced styles or technologies, and appeal to somewhat older adults by offering the tenant, entertainment, and experience mix they will prefer. It is recommended that future research utilize random sampling methods to ensure the generalizability of results.
