A Genetic Algorithm using A Modified Order Exchange Crossover for Rural Postman Problem with Time Windows (MOX 교차 연산자를 이용한 Rural Postman Problem with Time Windows 해법)

  • This paper describes a genetic algorithm and compares three crossover operators for Rural Postman Problem with Time Windows (RPPTW). The RPPTW which is a multiobjective optimization problem, is an extension of Rural Postman Problem(RPP) in which some service places (located at edge) require service time windows that consist of earliest time and latest time. Hence, RPM is a m띤tieect optimization Problem that has minimal routing cost being serviced within the given time at each service Place. To solve the RPPTW which is a multiobjective optimization problem, we obtain a Pareto-optimal set that the superiority of each objective can not be compared. This Paper performs experiments using three crossovers for 12 randomly generated test problems and compares the results. The crossovers using in this Paper are Partially Matched Exchange(PMX) Order Exchange(OX), and Modified Order Exchange(MOX) which is proposed in this paper. For each test problem, the results show the efficacy of MOX method for RPPTW.

  • Recently, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) has been actively developed and built since the Transportation System Efficiency Promotion Act was enacted. However, since mutual connection among transportation information systems was not considered, the integration of transportation information services did not occur. Accordingly, the Ministry of Land Transport and Maritime Affairs established and announced the technical standard on ITS. In this study, the conformance testing of the transportation information and communication system interface standard on data exchange between the Transportation Information Center and terminals was researched The test items were categorized as data request tests and data providing tests by analyzing the communication procedures specified in the standard. A detail testing scenario was created for each item. The test assessment was established based on the conformance of data exchange procedures and the accuracy of data packet messages. Under the established technical standard, the number of times that tests should be performed was thought set to 30 and the success rate was set to 95%. The purpose of this study is to help the ITS of Korea perform the integrated management of transportation information by researching methods for conformance testing on the technical standard on ITS.

  • 전력계통 보안관제센터는 전력IT의 사이버테러 위험을 줄이고 보안을 강화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전력산업 관계기관은 해킹 바이러스와 같은 사이버공격에 대한 대응을 고도화하기 위해 전력거래소 내 전력계통보안관제센터(ES-ISAC)에 실시간 관제 대응센터를 만들고 시스템 성능의 지속적인 업그레이드 작업과 다른 시스템과의 연동을 확대함으로써 사이버침해 사고에 대한 예측력을 향상시키는 작업을 추진해야 한다. 침입기술, 웜 바이러스 샘플 분석과 같이 침해사고 정보수집을 보다 능동적으로 하고 모든 정보에 대한 백업시스템을 구축함으로써 안정적인 센터운영을 기해야 한다.

  • The reason of a today business of the biggest change is commercial transaction through Internet. Day relent, the commercial transaction through such Internet is giving B2B company transaction the biggest influence. The Document for information exchange that need to B2B company transaction through Internet must send efficiently the information, independent in the system and improve a Interoperability between business partners. Existing information exchange document happened problems about information exchange and the entry of XML became the gauge to solve problems that had an existing information exchange document. Also, the e-business based on XML was constructed. Thus, writing out necessary document for the as well as XML document.   • In case of VLSI design, the shuffle-exchange graph is useful for optimal layout. HOEY and LEISERSON proposed the method of drawing a N-nodes shuffle-exchange graph on O(N2/log N) layout area by using the complex plane digram. [2] In this paper, a new algorithm for drawing the shuffle-exchange graph is proposed. This algorithm is not by using the complex plane diabram, but the table of e decimal represented nodes of shuffle-edge relations. And the structural properties for optimal layout of the graph are summarized and verified. By using this more simplified algorithm, a FORTRAN program which can be treated faster is written. Aimed near optimal shuffle-exchange graphs are printed out by giving inputs` the number of nodes.

Improvement of Mechanical Property by Single Ion Exchange Process in Substrate Glass

  • In connection with the ion exchange strengthening on soda-lime-silicate, substrate glass for display use was investigated. In the processing, the temperature was varied during the ion exchange in order to make stress profile and to determine optimum condition. In the present work, we found that the maximum value of strength was 617.8 MPa after an ion exchange process at 470 $^{\circ}C$ for 1h, and then, at 450 $^{\circ}C$ for 24h. Also, the effect of residual stress placed on the near surface was measured by analyzing the number of crack branches and brittleness. This approach allowed us the residual stress profile to be engineered to improve mechanical reliability.

FOREX Web-Based Trading Platform with E-Learning Features

  • There has been an influx of traders and researchers eager to gain a better understanding of the market due to the rapid growth of the FOREX market. Traders with varying degree of experience are also often inundated with information, analysis methods as well as trading rules when making a trading decision on buying/selling a currency exchange pair. Thus, this paper reviews the current computational tools and analysis methods used within the FOREX trading community and proposes the development of a web-based trading platform with e-learning features to support beginners. Novice traders could also benefit from the use of the proposed e-learning trading platform as it helps them gain valuable knowledge and navigate the FOREX market in real-time. Even experienced traders would find it useful as the platform could be used for actual trading and acts as a reference point to understand the reasoning behind the certain technical analysis implementation that are still unclear to them.

Forecasting Exchange Rates using Support Vector Machine Regression

  • This paper applies Support Vector Regression (SVR) to estimate and forecast nonlinear autoregressive integrated (ARI) model of the daily exchange rates of four currencies (Swiss Francs, Indian Rupees, South Korean Won and Philippines Pesos) against U.S. dollar. The forecasting abilities of SVR are compared with linear ARI model which is estimated by OLS. Sensitivity of SVR results are also examined to kernel type and other free parameters. Empirical findings are in favor of SVR. SVR method forecasts exchange rate level better than linear ARI model and also has superior ability in forecasting the exchange rates direction in short test phase but has similar performance with OLS when forecasting the turning points in long test phase.

  • One of the biggest problems of rapid prototyping(RP) technologies lies in their standard file format for CAD data exchange. Current methods using the de facto industry standard 'STL'have at times resulted in problems such as accuracy, redundancy, and integrity. In this paper we propose a STEP based data exchange framework for rapid prototyping systems. In this paradigm of data exchange, STEP models can be imported and converted into faceted B-rep. solid models for visualization and 2-D layer data for RP. Also an STL model, on the other hand, can be converted into a faceted B-rep. STEP model and exported as a new data exchange model with RP information.

  • Information superiority is an essential factor in modern warfare and it can be archived by efficient information exchange between systems. Various computing systems are installed on the today's navy vessels. However, it is hard to improve interoperability and efficiency of information exchange since the configurations of installed systems are varying. The military standard and commercial standard are mix-used between systems. In this paper, we propose an information exchange architecture based on Pub/Sub model as a communication middleware to improve interoperability as well as enhancing scalability. We also propose a novel tree matching algorithm to improve a performance of PubSub broker. In the proposed algorithm, each tree nodes have information about predicates of subscription that can reduce event matching time. The performance evaluation results show our proposed algorithm reduces time for matching predicates compare with other algorithms.
