This study was to develop the patterns based on the study of commercial Cheollik dress pattern analysis that verify the effects of pattern improvement by performing wearing evaluations. The commercial Cheollik dress pattern analysis was divided into A type composed of a traditional hanbok flat sleeve type and B type composed of western three-dimensional sleeves type. The prototype pattern of A type and prototype pattern of B type were fabricated after modifying and supplementing the pattern on the basis of precedent research. Appearance evaluations and mobility evaluations were also conducted. In the evaluations of the appearance, the prototype pattern in both A type and B type rated better than the control pattern in all items, so it can be judged to be a pattern that creates a better appearance in terms of allowance and design ratio. In the evaluations of the mobility, the prototype pattern was more convenient and a functional pattern with better scores in both A type and B type. If the Cheollik dress prototype patterns developed in this study are distributed, the Cheollik dress will be easy and comfortable to wear as a casual wear, which will help to make dailyization and popularization of Hanbok.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the patterns of commercial Cheollik dresses by size analysis and wearing evaluation. Six kinds of commercial Cheollik dress patterns distributed on the market were selected and classified into two types group, A type group(A-1, A-2, A-3) consisting of flat type sleeve pattern and B type group(B-1, B-2, B-3) consisting of three-dimensional type sleeve pattern depending on the sleeve type. The size of the Cheollik dress pattern was analyzed, and wearing evaluations of the appearance, movability were carried out. Cheollik dress pattern was made in various size and many patterns were produced in the form of omission of components such as seop. It should be based on the understanding of the form and composition of the traditional Cheollik for pattern development. As a result of the wearing evaluation, A-2 showed the highest evaluation in the appearance and movability evaluations in type A. B-2 was the highest evaluation in appearance evaluation in type B. But in the evaluation of the movability, B-2 received the lowest evaluation because of little allowance. Therefore, the allowance in clothes should be considered enough for the movability. The result of this study can be provided as a basic data for the development of Cheollik dress pattern reflecting modern trend and the traditional beauty.

This study aims to suggest the patternmaking method of men's slim-fit six-panel jacket sloper in their 30's. The researcher collected four kinds of existing slopers and carried out appearance evaluations twice. The researcher's sloper was developed by modifying and supplementing the existing sloper with high scores from the evaluations. The results are as follows: first, when comparing the four kinds of existing slopers, dimensions and patternmaking methods of 18 areas, especially width of back chest and side chest, were varied according to the existing slopers. Second, the researcher's sloper had excellent scores in the appearance evaluations such as placements of side line on the chest, waist, hip line, measurement in dimension from the center back hip line and from waist line, and appearance of neck line. Third, the suggested sloper are as follows: the ease on the chest is 10.5 cm, 8~10 cm extends for the jacket length, the measure in dimension from the back waist is 2.2 cm, dart intake at the back side is 4 cm, dart intake at the front side is 1.5~2 cm, and dart intake at the front waist is 1 cm. This suggested six-panel jacket sloper is expected to be useful for the various slim-fit jacket designs which have the side panels.

The purpose of this study was to examine the evaluations and attitudes of workers in low temperature storages of discount stores toward their uniforms by carrying out a field study and a survey. The effects of evaluation attributes on their attitudes were also investigated. In this study, the reference of the evaluation of uniforms was based on the concepts of serviceability, which implies the fitness for purpose of products and consists of durability, care, comfort and aesthetic appearance. Of 400 questionnaires, 253 of them were used for data analysis. The data were analyzed by descriptives, t-test, factor analysis, reliability test and regression analysis with SPSS 12.0. As a result, it showed that workers have set low values on easy care, physiological comfort, aesthetic appearance and durability among the evaluation attributes. In attitudes toward the uniforms, emotional attitude was negative whereas behavioral attitude positive. It appeared that the evaluation attributes had influence on the attitude toward the uniforms and esthetic appearance among the attributes had the biggest effects on the workers' attitude. In conclusion, it was found that the discount store uniforms should be improved in the aspects of easy care and physiological comfort, and focused on the esthetic appearance for workers' positive attitudes to their uniforms.

Traditional wedding dresses have had a high market demand in China in recent years. Traditional wedding dresses from the Tang dynasty occupy an important position among traditional Chinese dresses, and they are also favored by young women. This study was conducted to develop the rushan and qun patterns of traditional wedding dress styles from the Tang dynasty for women in their twenties in China. For this purpose, the rushan and qun patterns of Tang and Song dynasty dresses and modern traditional dresses were collected and analyzed. Additionally, the developed patterns were validated for suitability through appearance evaluations of virtual and real fittings. The following proportions of the developed patterns were proposed: H/3.3 for rushan length, H/33 for collar width, H/1.08 for total sleeve length, H/6 for sleeve width, H/8.5 for sleeve hem width, and H/1.55 for qun length. In addition, the developed patterns received high scores in the appearance evaluations of the virtual and real fittings. Therefore, the developed rushan and qun patterns are expected to have high utility in the current traditional wedding dress industry.

Microbiological, pH and sensory evaluations of pork loins treated with lactic acid cultures (Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis ATCC 11454 grown in 10% milk solids) during storage at 4$^{\circ}C$ were assessed. Pork loins were immersed in solutions containing 3.96 log units, 4.10 log units, or 4.23 log units of individual lactic acid cultures for 2 min. Pork loins treated with lactic acid cultures had a inhibitory effect (P<0.05) on the growth of aerobic palate counts during storage of 3 days at 4$^{\circ}C$. Pork loins treated with lactic acid cultures during storage of 3 days at 4$^{\circ}C$ significantly (P<0.05) decreased pH values compared to those of controls. Sensory evaluations for odor and appearance of pork loins treated with lactic acid cultures during storage of 9 days at 4$^{\circ}C$ were a "liked less" to "typical" category compared to those of controls.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the bodice patterns by analyzing sensory evaluations. Anthropomatric data was collected between April and October of 2000. Total 283 body measurements were collected for this study including both direct and indirect measurements(29 variables from the direct anthropometric data. 5 variables from the indirect anthropometric data). Data were analyzing using percentiles. standard deviation and Anova. The appearance and fit of three kinds of bodice patterns (N. L. H type) were evaluated by expert panel and the subjects. The results of the anthropometric measurements and sensory evaluations are as follows : A significant differences (p$\leq$.001) in the height, width and girth Items was found. The results of the bodice pattern evaluations by expert panel indicates that a significant difference (p${\le}$.05) in the responses to the placement of the waist dart, the fit of the bust area and the placement o( the back shoulder dart for 20's and 30's. The result of the evaluations by subjects indicates that a significant difference (p${\le}$.05) in the responses to the placement of the waist dart for 40's. A significant difference (p${\le}$.05) in the responses to the suitability of the shoulder area among the age groups.

Sports climbing requires more maximum body motion range than any other sport. This study examined what element affects the actions of sports climbers and suggest an ideal pattern archetype to maximize function based on motion. The theoretical background included abstracted elements influencing clothing design by researching the body type of sports climbers and the motion of sports climbing. Along with the characteristic of climbing wear, this study also conducted a comparative analysis of sleeve patterns for sports climbing wear and general sports jackets, abstracting comparative parts that influence sports climbing wear design. To develop the final research archetype, research was done on 107 sports climbers in their 20s-30s that selected the top 3 brands and collected patterns as well. A research archetype was selected based on 3-D virtual clothing and developed into 4 different patterns with different sleeve cap heights. Appearance evaluation and a motion functionality evaluation were then conducted in order to select a final research archetype adequate for sports climbing based on evaluation findings. In addition, this study identified aesthetical problems of the final research archetype produced based on functionality that could suggest an archetype for a climbing jacket that could be visually satisfying through appearance evaluations and motion functionality evaluations.

Microbiological and sensory evaluations of chicken wings treated with acetic acid and trisodium phosphate(TSP) during retail(1${\pm}$2$^{\circ}C$) and refrigerated storage(4$^{\circ}C$). Chicken wings(average weight of 15${\pm}$2g per leg) were treated with 0.5∼2% aerobic plate counts(APC) on the surface of chicken wings for storage of 16 days at 4$^{\circ}C$. During storage of 12 days at retail store(1${\pm}$2$^{\circ}C$), the treating chicken wings with 7.5∼10% TSP solutions for 10 min showed significantly inhibitory effect in preventing the growth of aerobic microbes. For odor and appearance scores, chicken wings treated with 0.5∼2% acetic solutions resembled untreated wings for storage of 16 days at 4$^{\circ}C$. However, both odor and appearance scores of chicken wings treated with 2.5∼10% TSP solutions were similar to those of untreated wings for storage of 4 days, and a higher in the storage of beyond 8 to 12 days at retail store.

This study aims to suggest the patternmaking method of men's slim-fit four-panel jacket sloper in their 30's. Then the researcher's sloper was developed by modifying and supplementing the existing sloper with high scores in the evaluations. The results are as follows: First, when comparing the existing slopers, ease on the chest varied from 13 cm to 17.8 cm. Actual measurements or formula method were used for the armhole depth, waist line, and hip line. It was one-third of armhole length for the sleeve cap height in most existing slopers. Second, the researcher's sloper had excellent scores in the appearance and movement evaluations (front neck depth, ease on the chest, front dropped length, ease on the sleeve cap, and the position that separate the two piece sleeves on the back). Third, the suggested sloper, has 13~14 cm for ease in the chest circumference and 2.5 cm for front dropped length. It sets to chest/4+2 cm for armhole depth, height/4+1 cm for waist line placement, and height/8 for hip length. The sleeve cap height is one-third of armhole length. These results will be useful when the industrial technical designers develop various jacket patterns.
