고체산 촉매에 의한 가솔린 옥탄가 향상제인 ETBE (Ethyl tert-Butyl Ether) 합성 (Solid Acid Catalyzed Formation of ETBE(Ethyl tert-Butyl Ether) as an Octane Enhancer for Gasoline)

  • TBA(tert-butyl alcohol)와 ethanol로부터 고체산 촉매상에서 가솔린 옥탄가 향상제인 ETBE(ethyl tert-butyl ether)의 기상 합성반응에 관하여 연구하였다. 헤테로폴리산 촉매가 제올라이트계 촉매보다 활성이 우수하였으며, $H_4SiW_{12}O_{40}$촉매는 현재 공업적으로 이용되고 있는 Amberlyst-15 수지촉매의 대체가능성을 보였다. 또한 전이금속 양이온으로 교환된 헤테로폴리산 촉매는 수소환원에 의한 새로운 산점의 생성 및 증가에 따라 촉매활성이 크게 증가되었다. 이러한 수소환원 효과는 촉매의 환원특성과 관계되며, 환원 용이성은 $Ag^+$>$Cu^{2+}$>$Fe^{2+}$의 순서였다.

  • Phytochemical study of the constitutive polyphenolics of the flower aqueous alcohol extract of Tamarix tetragyna was carried out. The new sulphated flavonol, quercetin 3',4'-dimethyl ether $3-O-KSO_3$ as well as the new natural galloyl glucose, $2-O-galloyl-({\alpha}/{\beta})-^4C_1-glucopyranose$ were isolated and characterized. The known sulphated flavonols, kaempferol 7,4-dimethyl ether $3,5-di-O-KSO_3$, quercetin 7-methyl ether $3,3',4'-tri-O-KSO_3$, quercetin 7,4'-dimethyl ether $3-O-KSO_3$ and quercetin $3-O-KSO_3$ and the known sulphated phenolics, isoferulic acid $3-O-KSO_3$ and ellagic acid 4,4'-dimethyl ether $3-O-KSO_3$ were also separated and identified. The structures were established by conventional methods of analysis and confirmed by $^1H-,\;^{13}C-NMR$ and negative ESI-mass spectrometry. 2D-homonuclear chemical shift correlation NMR experiment was applied for the new natural galloylglucose.

회양목의 생약학적 연구 (Pharmacognostical Studies on Bux Wood)

  • The histological structures of Buxus koreana were studied by cross section and compared with those of Buxus koreana var. elongata, B. koreana var. insularis, B. microphylla subsp. sinica (Taiwan) and B. liukiuensis(Okinawa). Many different points showed that B. koreana var. insularis is similar to B. microphylla subsp. sinica while B. koreana to B. liukiuensis. The extracts of Buxus koreana by three solvents are as follows: ether ext. 3.34%, dilute alcohol ext. 16.98%, water ext. 11.67%. The total alkaloid of Buxus koreana is approximately 0.01%. The general pharmacological effects of dilute alcohol ext. of Buxus koreana were studied and the following conclusions were obtained. Contraction of excised uterus of rabbit was augmented by treatment of dilute alcohol ext. Motility of excised intestine of rabbit was stopped for a moment and stimulated at once by treatment of dilute alcohol ext.

  • Petroleum ether, benzene and alcohol extracts of the seeds of C. juncea were tested for antiimplantation and pregnancy interruption activities in female albino rats. Of these three extracts, the alcohol extract was found to be the most effective in causing antiimplantation and pregnancy interruption activities. These adverse effects on fertility are reversible upon withdrawal of the extract treatments. The alcohol extract was found to possess estrogenic activity. After subjecting to preliminary phytochemical screening, the alcohol extract showed positive tests for alkaloids, steroids, glycosides, saponins, flavonoides, fixed oils, phenols and tannins.

  • 재래종 연초재배시 곁순제거방법이 수량, 품질 및 내용성분에 미치는 영향을 밝혀 보다 효과적인 곁순제거방법을 구명코자 시험한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 적심후 수적아, MH살포구가 타처리에 비하여 수량 및 kg당 가격이 높았고 Fatty alcohol처리는 수량에서 다소 감소하였으며, MS향초, 곁순 방치, 무적심구는 수량 및 kg당 가격이 모두 낮았다. 2. 적심후 수적아, Fatty alcohol 처리구는 무적심 등 타처리에 비하여 회분함량이 낮았고, 환원당, 니코틴함량 및 pH가 높았으며, MH 처리구는 수적아 및 Fatty alcohol 처리에 비해 환원당이 높고, pH와 니코틴함량이 다소 낮았다. 3. 곁순 수제거에 비하여 MH 살포구는 부풀성 및 연소성이 저하되는 경향이였다.

Allium속 방향성 성분의 분석과 방향성 성분이 고자리파리(Delia antiqua) 산란에 미치는 영향 (Analyses of Valatile Compounds from Allium sup. and Ovipositional Response of Delia antiqua to Various Volatile Chemicals)

  • Allium속 작물의 방향성 성분을 분석하고 방향성 성분이 고자리파리 산란에 미치는 정도를 조사하였다. Allium속 작물의 주요 방향성 성분은 sulfide계 화합물로 이들이 차지하는 비율은 마늘(66.1%), 대파(66.1%), 쪽파(62.3%), 양파(39.2%) 및 부추(4.2%)순으로 나타났다. 한편 지금까지 보고된 바 없는 cyclooctasulfur가 소량으로 대파, 쪽파, 풋마늘에 존재함이 확인되었다. 용매에 의한 조추출물이 고자리파리의 산란에 미치는 정도는 dichloromethane의 경우 마늘(32.1%)과 부추(7.2%)에서 최고와 최저를 나타내었으며, 증류수를 통한 조추출물은 쪽파(29.7%)와 부추(12.3%)에서 최고와 최저를 나타내었다. Allium속 방향성 성분을 회석하는데 선발할 유기용매에 대한 산란 반응은 ethyl alcohol(52.5%)과 ether(5.9%)에서 최고와 최저를 나타내었다. Diallyl disulfide(1%)를 이용하여 방향성물질의 양에 따른 산란정도는 20 ${\mu}(26.6%)$ 100 ${\mu}(14.0%)$에서 최고와 최저를 나타내었다. Sulfide계 화합물을 중심으로 한 산란선호성은 농도에 따라 다르게 나타나, allyl sulfide(17.2%)와 acethylthiophene(0.8%)에서 최고와 최저를 나타내었고, 100% 농도의 경우 ethyl alcohol이 43.3%로 많은 산란을 하였다. 방향성 성분의 농도별 산란은 sulfide 화합물의 경우 주로 I% 농도에서, ethyl alcohol은 고농도에서, 그리고 기타 성분은 각기 다른 농도에서 산란선호성을 보였다. 특히 100% 농도는 dimethyl disulfide와 ethyl alcohol를 제외하고는 수분만을 포함한 모래를 사용한 대조구보다 낮은 산란선호성을 보였다. 다양한 종류의 휘발성 물질에 대한 반응은 furfuryl mercaptan에 46.9%의 많은 산란 반응을 나타내었다.

참보라색우무에서 추출한 항균물질의 구조 및 특성 (Structures and some Properties of the Antimicrobial Compounds in the Red Alga, Symphyocladia latiuscula)

  • 참보라색우무는 우리나라 연근해에서 쉽게 채취할 수 있는 미이용 해조류로서 해조류에서 새로운 천연항균성물질을 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 얻을 목적으로 항균성물질을 각종 칼럼을 통하여 분리정제하였으며, MS, NMR spectrum에 의하여 구조를 확인하였고, X선회절분석으로 결정구조를 해석하였다. 또한 이들 물질이 가지는 몇가지 특성을 조사하였다. 참보라색우무 670 g 중에서 최종적으로 세 개의 항균성물질(SL-l, SL-2, SL-3)이 각각 85 mg, 135 mg, 27.7 mg을 얻었다. SL-1 및 SL-2는 MS 및 NMR에 의하여 2,3,6-tribromof,5-dihydroxybenzyl alcohol (MW, 374) ,2,3,6-trib romo4,5-dihydroxybenzyl methyl ether (MW, 388)이였으며, 특히 SL-2를 벤젠-디에틸 에테르 용매중에서 결정화하여 X선 결정 해석에 의하여서도 구조가 확인되었다. 한편 SL-3는 SL-2와 MS 및 carbon NMR spectrum에서 잘 일치하였으나 proton NMR에서 signal의 패턴이 약간 달라 SL-2의 어떤 이성질체라고 추정되었다. 참보라색우무 항균성물질의 마우스에 대한 치사독성은 SL-1은 3 mg, SL-2는 5 mg까지는 별다른 영향을 미치지 않았으며, PhIP 및 MeIQx에 대한 돌연변이원성 억제효과는 SL-1은 $200 {\mu}g/ml$의 농도에서는 $17.8 {\%}$$17.7 {\%}$에 미치지 않았으나SL-2는 $250 {\mu}g/ml$의 농도에서는 높은 억제효과를 나타내어 새로운 보존료로서의 이용가능성을 제시하였다.

베타아밀로이드응집 억제제 도출을 위한 새로운 벤질피페리디닐에터 유도체의 합성 (Synthesis of New Benzylpiperidinyl Ether Derivatives as Amyloid-beta Aggregation Inhibitors)

  • We designed and synthesized new benzylpiperidinyl ether derivatives as beta-amyloid aggregation inhibitors for the development of novel anti-Alzheimer's disease agents. As starting material, 4-hydroxypiperidine was used. For protection of the amine group in piperidine (2), di-tert-butyl dicarbonate was reacted with 4-hydroxypiperidine in the presence of triethylamine. For introduction of benzyl group, benzylbromide was treated with compound 2 in dioxane. After deprotection of Boc group on amine in compound 3, ester (5) was synthesized by addition of ethyl-4-chlorobutyrate. The alcohol 6 was synthesized by hydride reduction of 5 using $LiAlH_4$. To obtain final products (7-14), the alcohol 6 was condensed with each of substituted benzoic acids. To screen beta-amyloid aggregation inhibition of the products, thioflavinT assay was performed using $A{\beta}1-42\;at\;37^{\circ}C$ for 26 h incubation, in vitro. From the result of screening, compound 8, 9, 11 and 12 showed effective activity about $65{\sim}85\;{\mu}M\;as\;IC_{50}$ value. Among the prepared compounds, 4-[4-(benzyloxy)piperidino]butyl-4-chlorobenzoate (8) was the most effective inhibitor having $IC_{50}\;of\;65.4{\mu}M$.

산림 토착 미생물 군집에 미치는 유류 첨가제 노출 농도 및 시간의 영향 (Effect of Exposure Concentration and Time of Fuel Additives on the Indigenous Microbial Community in Forests)

  • The toxicity of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), tert-butyl alcohol (TBA) and formaldehyde (FA) on the indigenous microbial community in forest soil was studied. MTBE, TBA and FA with different concentrations were added into microcosms containing forest soil samples. After 10 and 30 days, total viable cell number and dehydrogenase activity in the microcosms were evaluated. Bacterial communities in the microcosms were also analyzed using a denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). Dehydrogenase activity and total viable cell number were decreased according to the increase of MTBE, TBA and FA concentrations (P<0.05). FA toxicity was the highest, but TBA toxicity was the lowest. The results of principal component analysis using DGGE fingerprints showed that the microbial communities contaminated MTBE, TBA and FA were grouped by exposure time not exposure concentration. Dominant species in the microcosms were as follows: Photobacterium damselae sub sp. and Bacillus sp. KAR28 for MTBE; Mycobacterium sp. and Uncultured Clostridium sp. for TBA; and Uncultured Paenibacillaceae bacterium and Anxynobacillus, Flavithermus for FA.

프로폴리스 물추출물의 약효연구 (Studies on the Efficacies of Water Extract of Propolis)

  • Propolis is a lipophilic, natural product prepared by mixing the exudates collected from various plants by honeybees with beeswax for the purpose of using to seal hive walls and to strengthen the borders of combs. Because of its versatile bioactivities, propolis has been attracting many investigators'interest. But the pharmacological studies on propolis has, to date, been exclusively performed for an alcohol extract, there is few information of water extract. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the various effects of water extract of Chinese propolis. The water extract of propolis and its fractions of organic solvents showed strong antioxidative activities, especially ether and ethylacetate fractions, and reduced the lipid peroxidation of rat liver in viro. Additionally the ether fraction of propolis (10 mg/ml) inhibited the activity of hyaluronidase by 50%. In vivo, the water extract of propolis considerably decreased s-GOT, s-GPT and s-LDH activities which represent for the hepatotoxicity induced by $CCl_4$ in rats, and prolonged the MST (Medium revival tinge) and ILS (Increasing in MST over control) by 18% in mice which inoculated with sarcoma 180 ascites cells. These results suggest that the water extract of propolis has various bioactivities as well as the alcohol extract.
