초음파 감쇠계수 주정에 있어서 빔 형태의 보정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Correction of Beam Pattern for the Ultrasonic Attenuation Coefficient Estimation)

  • In estimating the freguency-dependent attenuation coefficient, we analyzed the range-dependent ultrasonic beam and proposed the method of calculating the experimental equation of beam pattern in order to reduce the error on the influence of beam pattern. These experimental equations are divided into the spectral centroid and the spec ural standard deviation slope according to axial propagation length. These are repnesented by the first-order equation in the near field of the beam and the second- order eqLlatlon In the far field. In order to prove the validity of this method, the attenuation coefficients of the non-corrected ease and the corrected case are compared. Using the reflected signal from acryle plate, the attenuation coefficients were estimated by the spectral shift method ann the spectral difference method. The result shows attenuation coeffi talents after correction are better than attenuation coefficients before correction. And this method can be applied In vivo measurement.

Designing of the Beheshtabad water transmission tunnel based on the hybrid empirical method

  • Stability analysis and support system estimation of the Beheshtabad water transmission tunnel is investigated in this research. A combination approach based on the rock mass rating (RMR) and rock mass quality index (Q) is used for this purpose. In the first step, 40 datasets related to the petrological, structural, hydrological, physical, and mechanical properties of tunnel host rocks are measured in the field and laboratory. Then, RMR, Q, and height of influenced zone above the tunnel roof are computed and sorted into five general groups to analyze the tunnel stability and determine its support system. Accordingly, tunnel stand-up time, rock load, and required support system are estimated for five sorted rock groups. In addition, various empirical relations between RMR and Q i.e., linear, exponential, logarithmic, and power functions are developed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA). Based on the significance level (sig.), determination coefficient (R2) and Fisher-test (F) indices, power and logarithmic equations are proposed as the optimum relations between RMR and Q. To validate the proposed relations, their results are compared with the results of previous similar equations by using the variance account for (VAF), root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and mean absolute error (MAE) indices. Comparison results showed that the accuracy of proposed RMR-Q relations is better than the previous similar relations and their outputs are more consistent with actual data. Therefore, they can be practically utilized in designing the tunneling projects with an acceptable level of accuracy and reliability.

Studies on 5 Protein Fractions Prediction of Forage Legume Mixture by NIRS

  • This study was conducted to assess the feasibility of near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) as a rapid and reliable method for the estimation of crude protein (CP) fractions in forage legume mixtures (sudangrass and pea mixture, and kidney bean and potato mixture). A total of 178 samples were collected and their spectral reflectance obtained in the range of 400~2,500 nm. Of these, 50 samples were selected for calibration and validation, and 35 samples were used for calibration of the data set, and the modified partial least square regression (MPLSR) analysis was performed. The correlation coefficient ($r^2$) and the standard error of cross-validation (SECV) of the calibration models in the CP fractions, A, B1, B2, B3, and C, were 0.94 (1.05), 0.92 (0.74), 0.96 (0.95), 0.91 (0.42), and 0.83 (0.38), respectively. Fifteen samples were used for equation validation, and the $r^2$ and the standard error of prediction (SEP) were 0.87 (1.45), 0.91 (0.49), 0.94 (1.13), 0.36 (0.96), and 0.74 (0.67), respectively. This study showed that NIRS could be an effective tool for the rapid and precise estimation of CP fractions in forage legume mixtures.

더미변수(Dummy Variable)를 포함하는 다변수 시계열 모델을 이용한 단기부하예측 (Short-Term Load Forecasting Using Multiple Time-Series Model Including Dummy Variables)

  • This paper proposes a multiple time-series model with dummy variables for one-hour ahead load forecasting. We used 11 dummy variables that were classified by day characteristics such as day of the week, holiday, and special holiday. Also, model specification and selection of input variables including dummy variables were made by test statistics such as AIC(Akaike Information Criterion) and t-test statistics of each coefficient. OLS (Ordinary Least Squares) method was used for estimation and forecasting. We found out that model specifications for each hour are not identical usually at 30% of optimal significance level, and dummy variables reduce the forecasting error if they are classified properly. The proposed model has much more accurate estimates in forecasting with less MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error).

공간 분포된 강우를 이용한 유출 해석 (Runoff Analysis using Spatially Distributed Rainfall Data)

  • Accurate estimation of the spatial distribution of rainfall is critical to the successful modeling of hydrologic processes. The objective of this study is to evaluate the applicability of spatially distributed rainfall data. Spatially distributed rainfall was calculated using Kriging method and Thiessen method. The application of spatially distributed rainfall was appreciated to the runoff response from the watershed. The results showed that for each method the coefficient of determination for observed hydrograph was $0.92\~0.95$ and root mean square error was $9.78\~10.89$ CMS. Ordinary Kriging method showed more exact results than Simple Kriging, Universal Kriging and Thiessen method, based on comparison of observed and simulated hydrograph. The coefncient of determination for the observed peak flow was 0.9991 and runoff volume was 0.9982. The accuracy of rainfall-runoff prediction depends on the extent of spatial rainfall variability.

STUDY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF $a_{dom}$ ESTIMATION ALGORITHM BY EMPIRICAL METHOD FOR GOCI OCEAN COLOR SENSOR

  • This study uses empirical method to estimate absorption coefficient of colored dissolved organic matter $(a_{dom})$ from GOCI satellite data with the relationship between band ratio of remote sensing reflectance $(R_{rs})$ and $a_{dom}$. For development of $a_{dom}$ estimation algorithm, the used data is in-situ data about ocean optical properties in the around seawater area of the Korean Peninsula during 1998 - 2005. The relationship of $R_{rs}$(412)/$R_{rs}$(555), $R_{rs}$(443)/$R_{rs}$(555), $R_{rs}$(490)/$R_{rs}$(555), $R_{rs}$(510)/$R_{rs}$(555) and $a_{dom}$(412) showed $R^2$ values of 0.707, 0.707, 0.597 and 0.552, respectively. The spectrum of $a_{dom}({\lambda})$ is shape of exponential function $a_{dom}({\lambda})$ value decreases with increasing wavelength. For estimation of $a_{dom}$ from satellite data, we developed an algorithm from the relationship of $a_{dom}$(412) and $R_{rs}$(412)/$R_{rs}$(555). This algorithm was employed on SeaWiFS imagery to estimate $R_{rs}$(412) in the South Sea, East Sea, Yellow Sea and northern East China Sea areas. Also, SeaDAS-derived $a_{dg}$(412) from same SeaWiFS imagery, These $a_{dg}$(412) was then compared with in-situ and empirical-algorithm-derived $a_{dom}$(412), but these values were different. We think two points that such different values are caused by discrepancy related to failure of standard atmospheric correction scheme, the other are caused by error related to definition of $a_{dom}$(412) and $a_{dg}$(412).

  • 본 논문에서는 장거리 통신시스템의 적응 반향제거 기에서 퍼지제어 시스템에 기초한 새로운 동시통화 검출방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법에서, 동시통화 검출을 위한 퍼지추론의 두 입력 변수는 근단 신호와 실제 반향 신호가 더해진 소요 신호와 에러 신호 사이의 상호상관계수와 소요 신호와 추정된 신호 사이의 상호상관계수를 사용하였다. 퍼지 제어기에서 사다리꼴 소속함수로 퍼지화하고 if-then 추론규칙을 이용하여 max-min 합성하였으며, 합성된 결과를 무게중심법에 의하여 디퍼지화한 값으로 동시통화와 반향경로 변화 그리고 동시통화시 반향경로 변화를 검출하도록 하였다. 퍼지 동시통화 검출기는 기존의 알고리듬보다 동시통화와 반향경로 변화를 추정할 수 있었으며 동시통화시에 반향경로 변화에도 좋은 성능을 보였다.

근전도 신호를 이용한 손목 힘 및 악력 추정 (Wrist and Grasping Forces Estimation using Electromyography for Robotic Prosthesis)

  • This paper proposes a method to simultaneously estimate two degrees of freedom in wrist forces (extension - flexion, adduction - abduction) and one degree of freedom in grasping forces using Electromyography (EMG) signals of the forearms. To correlate the EMG signals with the forces, we applied a multi - layer perceptron(MLP), which is a machine learning method, and used the characteristics of the muscles constituting the forearm to generate learning data. Through the experiments, the similarity between the MLP target value and the estimated value was investigated by applying the coefficient of determination ($R^2$) and root mean square error (RMSE) to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. As a result, the $R^2$ values with respect to the wrist flexion-extension, adduction - abduction and grasping forces were 0.79, 0.73 and 0.78 and RMSE were 0.12, 0.17, 0.13 respectively.

지연된 소프트웨어 S-형태 신뢰성모형에 의존된 학습효과 특성에 관한 비교 연구 (The Comparative Study for the Property of Learning Effect based on Delay ed Software S-Shaped Reliability Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 소프트웨어 제품을 개발하여 테스팅을 하는 과정에서 소프트웨어 관리자들이 소프트웨어 및 검사 도구에 효율적인 학습기법을 이용한 NHPP 소프트웨어 모형에 대하여 연구 하였다. 적용모형은 지연된 소프트웨어 S-형태 모형을 적용한 유한고장 NHPP에 기초하였다. 소프트웨어 오류 탐색 기법은 사전에 알지 못하지만 자동적으로 발견되는 에러를 고려한 영향요인과 사전 경험에 의하여 세밀하게 에러를 발견하기 위하여 테스팅 관리자가 설정해놓은 요인인 학습효과의 특성에 대한 문제를 비교 제시 하였다. 그 결과 학습요인이 자동 에러 탐색요인보다 큰 경우가 대체적으로 효율적인 모형임을 확인 할 수 있었다. 본 논문의 수치적인 예에서는 고장 간격 시간 자료를 적용하고 모수추정 방법은 최우추정법을 이용하고 추세분석을 통하여 자료의 효율성을 입증한 후 평균제곱오차와 $R^2$(결정계수)를 이용하여 효율적인 모형을 선택 비교하였다.

화학적산소요구량의 총유기탄소 변환을 위한 이상자료의 탐지와 처리 (Outlier Detection and Treatment for the Conversion of Chemical Oxygen Demand to Total Organic Carbon)

  • 총유기탄소(TOC)는 해양의 탄소순환 연구분야에서 직접적인 생물학적 지표로 이용되는 중요한 인자다. 가용한 TOC 자료가 상대적으로 화학적산소요구량(COD) 자료 보다 부족하기 때문에 COD 자료를 활용하여 TOC 자료를 추정할 수 있다. COD를 TOC 로의 변환 시 TOC 추정에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 COD 관측자료에 포함된 이상자료의 탐지와 적절한 처리는 합리적이고 객관적으로 수행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 연안해역에서 관측된 염분, COD 및 TOC 자료에 대한 최적회귀모형을 제시하였다. 최적회귀모형은 이상자료와 영향자료를 여러 가지 탐색방법으로 진단하여 제거 전 후의 자료 개수 변화, 변동계수 및 RMS 오차를 비교 및 분석하여 선택하였다. 연구수행 결과, Cook의 진단방법과 SIQR의 boxplot 방법을 조합한 방법이 가장 적절한 것으로 파악되었다. 최적 회귀 함수는 TOC(mg/L) = $0.44{\cdot}COD(mg/L)+1.53$ 이고, 결정계수는 0.47 정도로 나타났으며, RMS 오차는 0.85 mg/L이다. RMS 오차와 지레계수(leverage values)의 변동계수는 이상자료 제거 전에 비하여 각각 31%, 80%로 크게 감소되었다. 본 연구에서 제시된 방법을 통해 COD와 TOC 관측자료에 포함된 이상자료와 영향자료의 과도한 영향을 진단 및 제거하였기 때문에 보다 적절한 회귀곡선식을 제시할 수 있었다.
