쌍방향 움직임 예측을 이용한 움직임 보상 보간 기법에서 효율적인 움직임 벡터 보정 방법 (Efficient Motion Vector Correction Method m Motion Compensated Interpolation Technique Using Bilateral Motion Estimation)

  • 동영상 신호의 프레임율 증가를 위해서 움직임 보상 보간(motion compensated interpolation) 기법이 많이 사용 된다. 특히 쌍방향 예측을 이용한 움직임 추정 기법은 움직임 추정 과정에서 빈 공간이나 겹쳐지는 문제를 해결함으로써 중간 삽입 프레임 생성 과정에서 좋은 성능을 보인다. 그러나 이와 같은 움직임 추정 과정에서 잘못된 움직임 벡터를 선택할 경우 왜곡된 블록을 생성할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 쌍방향 움직임 예측을 기반으혹 하는 움직임 보상 보간 기법의 움직임 추정 과정에서 선택되는 움직임 벡터가 올바른 추정인지를 판별하고 인접한 움직임 벡터와 병함한 블록을 이용하여 1/2 화소 단위로 움직임 벡터를 보정하는 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 또한, 제안하는 기법이 기존의 움직임 벡터 추정 기법에 비해서 우수한 성능을 보이는 것을 모의 실험을 통하여 확인한다.

확률적인 소실점 추정 기법에 기반한 강인한 송전선 검출 방법 (A Robust Power Transmission Lines Detection Method Based on Probabilistic Estimation of Vanishing Point)

  • We present a robust power transmission lines detection method based on vanishing point estimation. Vanishing point estimation can be helpful to detect power transmission lines because parallel lines converge on the vanishing point in a projected 2D image. However, it is not easy to estimate the vanishing point correctly in an image with complex background. Thus, we first propose a vanishing point estimation method on power transmission lines by using a probabilistic voting procedure based on intersection points of line segments. In images obtained by our system, power transmission lines are located in a fan-shaped area centered on this estimated vanishing point, and therefore we select the line segments that converge to the estimated vanishing point as candidate line segments for power transmission lines only in this fan-shaped area. Finally, we detect the power transmission lines from these candidate line segments. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust to noise and efficient to detect power transmission lines.

웜기어의 강도평가 및 설계시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Durability Estimation and Design Systems of Worm Gears)

  • We developed the durability estimation and design systems to minimize the volume, considering the durability, efficiency, and design requirements of worm gears. That is, we consider each kind of factors affecting on durability on the basis of AGMA Standard for the cylindrical and double-enveloping worm gears. We also estimate input power on the basis of wear and durability, bending strength and deflection of worm shaft, and we developed the durability estimation and design systems of power transmission worm gears introducing the optimal design method on the personal computer to be easily used in field. Also, we developed a method which converts the design variables obtained from the optimal design method to integer values(number of worm threads, number of worm threads, number of worm wheel teeth, etc.,) to be used in real design and production. The developed durability estimation and design method can be easily applied to the design of worm gears used as power transmission devices in machineries and is expected to be used for weight minimization of worm gear unit.

비보험비용의 정량적 산출방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Quantitative Estimation of Uninsured Cost)

  • The estimation of costs from industrial accidents is very important because they have a serious effect on individuals, companies, and nation. The department of labor estimates the cost of accidents by using the "Heinrich" method. From that method, the scale of accident cost can be approximately computed, but accurate calculation of uninsured cost is not easy. Therefore, a better method of calculating uninsured cost caused by industrial accident is necessary. This study aimed to construct an estimation method of uninsured cost according to domestic circumstances. The results of this study are as follows: (1) This study derived applicable factors for quantitative estimation of industrial accident cost (2) This study made the equation that the calculation of each item of uninsured cost was possible (3) This study applied the uninsured cost by degrees of disaster to individual items (4) The subjects and types of occurrence in uninsured cost were analyzed and presented. Theses results will provide a basis for further researchers of uninsured cost.

모바일 환경에서 모션 추정을 위한 빠르고 정확한 알고리즘 (Fast and Accurate Algorithm for Motion Estimation in Mobile Environments)

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 환경에서 모션을 추정하기 위하여 특징점을 코너로 선택하고, 기존 코너 검출 알고리즘인 Rosten 알고리즘 보다 모션 추정의 정확성을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. Rosten 알고리즘은 간단한 덧셈과 뺄셈만으로 코너를 검출함에 따라 처리 속도가 빠른 장점이 있지만, 코너를 매칭하면서 모션추정의 성능이 떨어지는 단점을 가지고 있다. 우리는 Normalized Cross Correlation(NCC) 계수를 사용하여 코너를 매칭하고, 두 단계에 걸쳐 부정확한 매칭에 의한 외톨이를 제거한다. 기존의 Rosten 알고리즘과 제안하는 알고리즘을 실제 영상에서 실험을 통하여 성능을 비교하고, 실제 모바일 장치의 응용 프로그램에 적용한다. 제안한 알고리즘이 Rosten 알고리즘 보다 더 정확한 모션을 추정해 냄을 실험 결과 확인하였고, 실제 모바일 환경에서도 실시간으로 동작함을 확인하였다.

적응적 탐색 영역을 이용한 HEVC 고속 움직임 탐색 방법 (Fast Motion Estimation Using Adaptive Search Range for HEVC)

  • 본 논문에서는 HEVC 부호화의 연산 복잡도를 줄이기 위한 고속 움직임 탐색 방법을 제안한다. 고속움직임 탐색을 위한 종래의 방법은 현재 영상과 참조 영상 간의 거리에 따라 탐색 영역의 크기를 조절하는 반면, 제안 방법은 예측 단위 간의 움직임 벡터 차의 유사성을 이용하여 예측 단위에 따라 움직임 벡터 탐색 영역을 적응적으로 조절한다. 실험을 통해 제안 방법은 random access 실험 조건에서 움직임 예측의 연산 시간을 약 10.7% 감소시키는 반면, 약 0.1%의 낮은 부호화 성능 하락을 가지는 것을 확인하였다.

수정된 RLS 기반으로 관절 토크 센서를 이용한 로봇에 가해진 외부 힘 예측 및 펙인홀 작업 구현 (External Force Estimation by Modifying RLS using Joint Torque Sensor for Peg-in-Hole Assembly Operation)

  • In this paper, a method for estimation of external force on an end-effector using joint torque sensor is proposed. The method is based on portion of measure torque caused by external force. Due to noise in the torque measurement data from the torque sensor, a recursive least-square estimation algorithm is used to ensure a smoother estimation of the external force data. However it is inevitable to create a delay for the sensor to detect the external force. In order to reduce the delay, modified recursive least-square is proposed. The performance of the proposed estimation method is evaluated in an experiment on a developed six-degree-of-freedom robot. By using NI DAQ device and Labview, the robot control, data acquisition and The experimental results output are processed in real time. By using proposed modified RLS, the delay to estimate the external force with the RLS is reduced by 54.9%. As an experimental result, the difference of the actual external force and the estimated external force is 4.11% with an included angle of $5.04^{\circ}$ while in dynamic state. This result shows that this method allows joint torque sensors to be used instead of commonly used external sensory system such as F/T sensors.

  • 본 논문은 역기전력 기반 센서리스 제어 시 안정적인 기동성능 확보를 위한 간단한 초기 회전자 위치추정 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 전동기의 고정자 권선 인덕턴스의 차이에 의한 전류응답특성을 이용하여 초기 회전자 위치를 추정한다. 이러한 초기 회전자 위치추정 방법은 알고리즘 구현이 간단하고 추가적인 외부회로가 불필요하며, 전동기 상수의 영향을 받지 않는다. 제안된 방법의 타당성은 실험결과를 통하여 검증하였다.

DFT 기반 페이저 연산 시 새로운 저역통과필터를 이용한 고주파 노이즈 경감 방법 (High Frequency Noise Reduction Method Using a Newly Designed Low-pass Filter in DFT-Based Phasor Estimation)

  • DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) is one of the most widely used method to estimate the phasor of a relaying signal. The harmonics are eliminated by the DFT. However, high frequency components, except for harmonics, are not removed and cause an error in DFT-based phasor estimation process. This paper suggests high frequency noise reduction method by using a newly designed low-pass filter to estimate a signal phasor. When selecting a stop-band cut-off frequency of the low-pass filter, high frequency components generated by faults are considered. To reduce the phasor estimation delay caused by a low-pass filter, this paper proposes a low-pass filter whose settling time is reduced. An adverse effect of high frequency noise on DFT-based phasor estimation is reduced. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, signals which are collected under a fault condition at a 345[kV] transmission system modeled by EMTP-RV are used.

Voice Activity Detection Based on SNR and Non-Intrusive Speech Intelligibility Estimation

  • This paper proposes a new voice activity detection (VAD) method which is based on SNR and non-intrusive speech intelligibility estimation. In the conventional SNR-based VAD methods, voice activity probability is obtained by estimating frame-wise SNR at each spectral component. However these methods lack performance in various noisy environments. We devise a hybrid VAD method that uses non-intrusive speech intelligibility estimation as well as SNR estimation, where the speech intelligibility score is estimated based on deep neural network. In order to train model parameters of deep neural network, we use MFCC vector and the intrusive speech intelligibility score, STOI (Short-Time Objective Intelligent Measure), as input and output, respectively. We developed speech presence measure to classify each noisy frame as voice or non-voice by calculating the weighted average of the estimated STOI value and the conventional SNR-based VAD value at each frame. Experimental results show that the proposed method has better performance than the conventional VAD method in various noisy environments, especially when the SNR is very low.
