Study on Effective Learning Factors to Obtain National Certifications - Focusing on Operation of Interior Architecture Engineers Certifications in Connection with Major Curriculum - (국가자격증 취득을 위한 효율적 학습요인 연구 - 전공교육과정과 연계한 실내건축기사 국가자격증반 운영을 중심으로 -)

  • The objective of this study is to address Effective Learning Methodology by subjects to acquire National Certification which is an essential requirement to get employed. For this purpose, analysis was completed after conducting a survey on the class to obtain Interior Architecture Engineer Certification. 23 applicants were selected based on effectiveness of each subject, level of difficulty, degree of understanding, mentoring effect, self-driven learning, and group discussion. Results are as below. Upon the first written test, Interior Design Theory and Chromatics showed a high learning effectiveness in self-driven learning and mentoring. Ergonomics showed a high learning effectiveness in mentoring, self-driven learning and group discussion while Building Materials, Architecture Construction presented a high effectiveness only in mentoring and group discussion. Architecture Environment showed average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion and showed a low effectiveness in self-driven learning. Upon the second practice test, Interior Architecture Construction and Planning/Management of Construction Materials presented an average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion. Process Control and Adding Up(Supply Calculation) showed a low learning effectiveness in self-driven learning and presented an average to below average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion. Lastly, Interior Design Plan, Interior Design Drawings presented average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion however they showed a high effectiveness in self-driven learning.

  • Interactivity is very important at ubiquitous e-Learning system oriented multi platform because online study is accomplished by multi media. In this thesis promotion for interactivity is designed at online study. By cyber education with supposed promotion used for a feedback. From now on a special research of study design should be made for interactivity and effectiveness using human sensibility ergonomics.

성인 여성의 구두 착용에 관한 연구

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitude related to the purchasing and wearing dress shoes for Korean adult women. 480 adult women age from 18 to 86 years participated in the survey and they were recruited in Seoul and Taejeon. The results were as following; 1. The most common dress shoes sizes were 235 and 240. 2. The subjects age uder 30 years perceived that the fashion is mor important than the comfort when they purchase dress shoes. The suvjects age over 60 years preferred shoes design giving comfort than fashionably designed one. 3. The most frequent complainings with dress shoe design were narrow shoe width, the stiffness of material, and discomfortable sole shape. 4. The letter size designation of dress shoes was not fulled recognized by the consumers. The use of letter size designastion was extremely low when they purchased shoes that fit their foot.

  • The goods development considering the foot characteristics of Korean and design of the sports shoes need to satisfy the customer emotion. For this, the sports shoes have to give the customer desire and satisfaction and be accomplished the distinction and luxury of goods for sports shoes. This study obtained a basic data on the customer preference and emotion with human sensibility ergonomics approach and formed the database to use easily. Also based on the database, this study developed an interface which the customer be able to select the sports preferred shoes.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the issues of today's school furniture systems and propose the new standards for tomorrow's school furniture design. For the improvement of the educational environments, the school furniture need to be reformed very badly. The present educational furniture is very falling behind in safety, function, ergonomics and its aesthetics. The classroom tables and chairs should be comfortable in physical and psychological aspects and accommodates the practical use in order to raise the student's efficiency of learning. In this study, the new design and ergonomic standards of the chairs and tables are proposed by comparing other national standards and analyzing the problems of the present educational facilities.

  • This study are to investigate the variations of the recruitment patterns of the nine lower extremity muscles, and to analyze the changes of the role assigned to each muscle during the seated posture. For exertion levels, the transition point of type F more unit of each muscle is inferred by analyzing the electromyogram at the seated postures. Also, for predetermined seated foot operations exertion levels, the recruitment pattern and the changes of the role assigned are identified in the continuous exertion, by analyzing the electromyogram change sdue to the accumulated muscle fatigue. The developed model can be used to design and to assess the pedals and foot-related equipments design.

  • Multimedia systems present information by using various media, for example, video, sound, music, animation, movie, etc., in addition to the text which has long been used for conveying the information. Among many multimedia applications, the multimedia information retrieval systems commercialized in the form of multimedia encyclopedia CD-ROMs, benefit by using various media for their ability to present information in an efficient and complete way. But using various media may cause end users' confusion and furthermore, poor user-interface design often exacerbates the systems. For appropriate design of the user interface of multimedia information retrieval systems, we investigated the characteristics of the multimedia information retrieval systems and listed 35 variables that might affect the usability of the user interface. And we selected 10 variables through some procedures such as brainstorming, literature survey, expert opinion, relevance analysis and feasibility analysis, in order to perform a screening study which will remarkably reduce the cost and time in conducting subsequent human factors experiments.

Multi-line display 제품의 메뉴 설계 방안

  • Menu-driven interfaces are frequently employed for user -system interfaces on many electronic products. Due to the space and budget constraint, a single or multi-line display is used to show menu items. Single or Multi-line display present 8 .approx. 21 characters on an LCD screen and users select items using a series of button pushes. Multi-line displays are different from the single-line ones in the following aspects. First, they can present multiple menu items at the same time. Second, they can present menu items in a various way, for example, same-depth presentation, sub-depth presentation, previous selection, etc. In this study, a human factors experiment is being conducted to examine the effects of three independent variables on the design of a multi-line display. Factors investigated include menu structure, number of lines on the display, item presentation methodl. Usability of the multi-line display is being measured quantitatively in terms of four different aspects: task completion time, accuracy, inefficiency, user preference. A set of design guidelines will be drawn from this study which can be applied to usef-system interfaces of a various types of consumer products.

  • We found the similarities and differences it the works of Italian Architects especially in 1960s Neo Rationalism and also in the products of inclination of contemporary Minimalism. Based on the moderate application of traditional architectural language and on typological prototype the Italian Architects pursued inherent logic by which the works came to the composition and association rule that show an extremely moderate expression of a spirit indispensable to Architecture. And they turned down the logic of ergonomics but they searched for the simple and prototypical form that was the architectural language strongly restrictive common and objective all through the abstraction of Architectural elements in their memories. The overcome from the forms and the methodology of thinking contain common types in Contemporary Minimalism. But Contemporary Minimalism rejects fundamentally the analogical interpretation and typological protiotype from the past.

  • An ergonomic evaluation model which can properly evaluate the design of a product or workplaces was developed to evaluate a new product in the early stage of design. Although several evaluation models have been developed and are in use in the field of ergonomics, they lack an integrated framework and analysis techniques. In this research, an ergonomic evaluation model was developed according to the framework which accommodates desirable components of the model. The framework represents the integration of four components: man model, workplace modeller, ergonomic evaluation functions and knowledge bases, which interact with a common object-oriented database. Components were developed individually and integrated with the workplace modeller. The generation and manipulation of man models, workplace modelling, and ergonomic evaluation features such as reach and visibility were implemented. The developed evaluation model has demonstrated distinct advantages of the flexibility to adapt another features for the ergonomic evaluation model and the better usability for users.
