Exposure of testis to 2-BP is known to cause degeneration of male germ cells. However, the mechanism underlying this process is poorly understood. Genistein, a natural isoflavonoid phytoestrogen, is a strong inhibitor of protein tyrosine kinase and DNA topoisomerase II activities. Genistein has been shown to have anticancer proliferation, differentiation and chemopreventive effects. In the present study, we have addressed the mechanism of action by which genistein suppressed the proliferation of p53-null human prostate carcinoma cells.(omitted)

It is recent trend that the manufactures of refrigerator use BLDC motor which RPM is changed by voltage of DC power, instead of induction motor in order to reduce energy consumption and noise radiation. It can be controlled two or more RPM suitable to environmental condition. For example it is operate much lower RPM than normal(usual) in the night. This paper introduce the method of noise control in the case of using BLDC Fan motor for refrigerator.

Ceramide, a potential cell death marker formed by sphingomyelinase, is involved in the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This study examines the effect of C2-ceramide (C2), a cell-permeable ceramide analog, on the LPS-inducible COX-2 expression and signaling pathways. C2 did not induce COX-2, but potentiated LPS-inducible COX-2 expression in Raw264.7 cells, whereas dihydro-C2 was inactive.(omitted)

Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) is an inducible enzyme expressed in response to a variety of proinflammatory agents and cytokines. COX-2 expression has been shown to be elevated in several different types of human cancer. The presence of oncogenic ras has been associated with constitutive induction of COX-2 in certain H-ras transformed cells, and COX-2 overexpression confers resistance to apoptosis.(omitted)

Ginseng saponins (ginsenosides) have been regarded as principal components responsible for the majority of pharmacological activities exerted by ginseng. IH-901, an intestinal bacterial metabolite derived from the protopanaxadiol saponin of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer, has been reported to have anti-tumor effects including inhibition of angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis, as well as induction of tumor cell apoptosis. (omitted)

Chronic adminstraction of morphine to adult male rats has long been known to lower hepatic cytochrome p-450 content and its dependent mixed-function oxidase activity. Following the treatment of adult male rats with morphine, pethidine pentazocine and codeine and also by concomitant adminstration of naloxone activities of microsomal electron transfer in the adult male rats were examined. In present study, the acute treatment of mature male rats with a dose of narcotic drugs higher than that used chronically also reduces their hepatic cytochrome p-450.

We show that PCSC, a polysaccharide isolated from the sclerotium of Poria cocos with one percent sodium carbonate, significantly induces nitric oxide (NO) production and inducible NO synthase (iNOS) transcription through the activation of nuclear factor-$\kappa$B/Rel (NF-$\kappa$B/Rel).(omitted)
