현장파쇄시설의 환경민원 발생 저감방안 연구 (A Study on the Reduction of Environmental Civil Appeals for In-site Crusher Facilities)

  • 도심이 과밀화됨에 따라 재건축 및 재개발의 활성화, 대규모 택지개발에 의한 신도시 개발, 사회기반시설 확충 등으로 건설폐기물이 급증하고 있다. 이와 더불어 도심지내 공사장 등에 의한 소음, 진동 및 분진 발생원이 지속적으로 증가하고 다양화됨에 따라 이와 관련된 환경 분쟁 및 민원이 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 이에 따라 정부는 생활주변의 정온한 환경을 조성하기 위하여 가까운 미래에 각종관련기준을 상향 적용할 계획이며, 결과적으로 건설공사관련 환경 분쟁 및 민원의 발생이 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 현장파쇄시설을 운영하고 있는 현장에서의 소음, 진동, 분진 발생량을 측정하고 분석하여, 현장파쇄시설에서 발생되는 환경민원발생 예방측면에서 대책을 마련하여 건설폐기물의 현장재활용 활성화를 위한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 한다.

  • The objective of the study is to produce preferential impact assessment factors for Environmental Impact Assessment by considering regional features and public participation in the initial stages of EIA. In order to produce preferential impact assessment factors, the study was carried out through theoretical research and a survey of public awareness as a ways to reflect public participation based on theoretical research. The survey of public awareness was conducted in the form of an interview to review the impact which the construction of atomic power plants at Hyo-am village, Jang-an, Kyungsang Province and Bi-hak village, Suhsang-myon, Ulsan-Kun will have on the surrounding environment: to reflect public participation on deciding preferential assessment: and to determine the extent of alternatives of the proposed project. As the result of the study, the following were identified as preferential assessment factors in the settlement and surrounding areas cultivation marine products, change of temperature of seawater due to flow of warm water, land use(negative), noise vibration during construction, existing plants, erosion accumulation, influx of manpower for construction(negative), recreation landscaping during construction and operation, change in flow of transportation during construction, the quality of seawater during construction and operation were produced as preferential assessment factors in both settlement area and neighboring areas. In the settlement area, the educational environment(negative & positive) and positive aspects of the influx of manpower for construction were also identified as preferential assessment factors.

  • 도심의 과밀화 등으로 재건축 및 재개발의 활성화, 대규모 택지개발에 의한 신도시 개발, 사회기반시설 확충 등의 증가로 건설폐기물이 급증과 더불어 도심지내 공사장 등에 의한 소음 발생원이 지속적으로 증가하고 다양화됨에 따라 소음${\cdot}$진동관련 환경 분쟁 및 민원이 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 이에 따라 정부는 생활주변의 정온한 환경을 조성하기 위하여 2009년 1월부터 공사장소음규제기준을 현재 70dB에서 65dB로 상향 적용하여 건설공사 관련 환경분쟁 및 민원의 발생이 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 1) '건설공사장 간이 소음 예측 프로그램'을 통한 현장파쇄시설의 소음레벨 예측값과 현장에 설치운영중인 현장파쇄시설의 실측 소음레벨을 비교${\cdot}$분석하여 현장파쇄시설의 소음레벨을 분석하였다. 2) 건설공사 현장에서 현장파쇄시설을 적용하고자 할 경우 소음에 의한 환경 분쟁 및 민원 발생의 최소화 방안을 수립하고자 한다.

Markerless camera pose estimation framework utilizing construction material with standardized specification

  • In the rapidly advancing landscape of computer vision (CV) technology, there is a burgeoning interest in its integration with the construction industry. Camera calibration is the process of deriving intrinsic and extrinsic parameters that affect when the coordinates of the 3D real world are projected onto the 2D plane, where the intrinsic parameters are internal factors of the camera, and extrinsic parameters are external factors such as the position and rotation of the camera. Camera pose estimation or extrinsic calibration, which estimates extrinsic parameters, is essential information for CV application at construction since it can be used for indoor navigation of construction robots and field monitoring by restoring depth information. Traditionally, camera pose estimation methods for cameras relied on target objects such as markers or patterns. However, these methods, which are marker- or pattern-based, are often time-consuming due to the requirement of installing a target object for estimation. As a solution to this challenge, this study introduces a novel framework that facilitates camera pose estimation using standardized materials found commonly in construction sites, such as concrete forms. The proposed framework obtains 3D real-world coordinates by referring to construction materials with certain specifications, extracts the 2D coordinates of the corresponding image plane through keypoint detection, and derives the camera's coordinate through the perspective-n-point (PnP) method which derives the extrinsic parameters by matching 3D and 2D coordinate pairs. This framework presents a substantial advancement as it streamlines the extrinsic calibration process, thereby potentially enhancing the efficiency of CV technology application and data collection at construction sites. This approach holds promise for expediting and optimizing various construction-related tasks by automating and simplifying the calibration procedure.

탄소 중립을 위한 철도 건설 사업 온실가스 평가항목의 탄소흡수원 분야 환경영향평가 개선 방안 연구 (Study on Improving Environmental Impact Assessment of Carbon Sink in the Greenhouse Gas Evaluation Criteria for Railway Construction Projects for Carbon Neutrality)

  • The railway project is an essential green transportation tool that is considered suitable for the domestic and foreign policy direction of carbon neutrality, but there are some limitations, such as damaging important carbon absorption sources during construction. This study analyzed the environmental impact assessment related to carbon absorption sources of greenhouse gas evaluation items conducted during the railway project, and limitations and implications were derived. The analysis of environmental impact assessment guidelines related to railway projects and carbon absorption sources dealt with prediction and reduction methods related to carbon absorption sources, but guidelines, including environmentally friendly railway construction guidelines, lacked descriptions. Since the greenhouse gas environmental impact assessment, 83 railway project environmental impact assessments have been reviewed, but in some cases, carbon absorption-related predictions have not been implemented, or carbon absorption-related reduction measures have been insufficient. In addition, there were cases where there was a limit to calculating emissions and reduction or where the reduction value was insignificant compared to emissions. In order to supplement the environmental impact assessment in the field of carbon absorption sources related to railway construction projects, alternatives such as quantitative emission and low reduction calculation, review of the no net loss system using the total environmental resource system, and linkage with climate change impact assessment are needed.

  • Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is of increasing interest to both industry practitioners and academics because of increasing public awareness of environmental, economic and social sustainability. The last decade witnessed a large number of studies on the development of CSR principles and the implementation of CSR in various industries such as the mining industry, oil industry and food industry. However, there is limited number of CSR studies focusing on the construction industry. Considering the critical role the construction industry plays in achieving economic, social and environmental sustainability, it is imperative to extend the current CSR research to the construction sector. This paper provides a critical review of literature related to corporate social responsibility in construction context. A special focus is placed on the current practice adopted by the industry to be socially responsible. A research agenda is set up to tackle this critical issue.

CONSTRUCTION ERROR TYPES - THE EXECUTION STAGE OF DUBAI PROJECTS

  • Construction errors can have significant effects on project performance. Yet, any attempt to tackle error should be driven by the ability to understand its archetypal nature. This study aims to analyze a variety of construction errors at the execution stage, in order to develop a comprehensive set of categories that shall provide insights about the effect of different error types on the industry. We investigate a database provided by an authoritative source, which includes a number of 256 construction errors that occurred in the year 2009 in Dubai construction industry. Results from this study reveal that the most common error arose from 'poor workmanship' which accounted for 21% of the total encountered faults. The next most common types arose from the 'usage of impaired materials', followed by the 'deviation from an intended dimension'. These observations infer that the majority of construction errors are driven by workers' lack of skill or competence. Moreover, it suggests that execution-oriented errors are the major cause of faults and accidents rather than design errors.

  • 21세기 들어서 지구는 기후변화로 인한 위기를 극복하기 위해서 탄소배출량을 줄이기 위한 노력을 지속하고 있다. 시공과정에서 환경부하량을 많이 배출하는 대표적인 산업인 건설산업에서도 환경부하량을 줄여나가는 노력을 적극적으로 하여야 한다. 건설시설물 계획단계에서부터 환경부하량을 적게 배출하기 위한 노선선정, 구조형식선정 등 환경부하량을 고려한 계획이 적용되어야 한다. 하지만 환경부하량은 투입자원량에 근거하여 산정할 수 있는데 계획단계에서는 공사물량 정보가 부족하여 환경부하량의 정확한 산정이 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구는 IPC 거더교를 대상으로 계획단계에서 환경부하량 추정모델에 활용하기 위한 환경부하량 영향 요인을 선정하기 위한 연구이다. 계획단계에서 활용할 수 있는 정보목록 중 환경부하량과 관련이 있는 특성정보를 전과정 평가(Life Cycle Assessment, LCA), 상관분석, 주성분 분석과 전문가 의견을 반영하여 선정하였다. 선정된 계획단계 정보 목록은 경간길이, 교량연장 등 10개이며 추후 환경부하량 추정모델 개발 시 유용한 기초자료로 사용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 최근 건설 계획이 증가함에 따라 건물 신축과 건물 폐기에 의한 건설 폐기물이 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 이로 인한 문제점으로 신축에 의해 발생되는 건설 폐기물의 처리를 매립에 대부분 의존하고 있기 때문에 환경오염 문제가 발생과 환경 단체의 반대에 천연골재 채취를 제한하고 있어서 건설업계에서 골재 부족문제가 대두되었다. 따라서 연구 단체에서는 이 두 가지 문제에 대한 해결방안으로 순환골재가 제시되고 있다 하지만 건설 현장에서는 거의 사용되지 않고 있다 이에 본 연구에서는 순환골재가 사용되지 않는 이유를 경제적인 면, 제도적인 면, 기술적인 면으로 분석하고 각 측면에서 순환골재의 활용화 방안에 대해 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 골재부족 문제해결과 폐기물의 매립에 의한 환경오염의 경감을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.
