쌀의 친환경인증 가치에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Value of Environmental-friendly's Certification for the Rice)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze a price of environment-friendly and conventional rice with POS data. And we estimate the value of environment-friendly's certification with hedonic price model. In case of price level, organic and pesticide-free rice is higher than conventional rice, 22.5% and 10.6%, respectively. In contrast, price variation of conventional rice is higher environment-friendly rice. The value of organic and pesticide are 839.5 Won and 313.7 Won, respectively. As time goes by, the certification's value goes down in environment-friendly rice. In particular, price level and certification's value of pesticide-free rice is similar with conventional rice. The results of this study show that price of the environment-friendly rice is not higher than expected. Therefore it is necessary to establish a new marketing and promotion strategies for environment-friendly rice.

Forecasting of plant disease and insect for an agricultural complex and farm in environment-friendly cultivation of Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

  • To investigate the forecasting of plant disease and insect for an agricultural complex and farm in environment-friendly cultivation of Rice, environment-friendly agricultural five complexs and five farms were selected in Youngam and Naju area, Jonnam, Korea. Preventation objects of plant disease and insect were leaf blast, neck blast, sheath blight, bacterial leaf blight, and hopper. Factors of sheath blight occurrence in environment-friendly agricultural complex were a fast transplanting time and a narrow planting density. Bacterial leaf blight in rice occurred severely in the area under water. Rice growth in environment-friendly agricultural complex was decreased heavy drying by hopper appearance.

친환경 쌀의 유통 특성 및 재배유형별 경영성과 분석 (Analysis of Economic Effects and Distribution Structure for Environment-friendly Rice's Production)

  • This study was carried out to present the measures for the stable environment-friendly rice's production, farm income increase and consumption revitalization and so on by analyzing economic effects of the environment-friendly rice's production complex by certification type, cultivation type and distribution type. Data were collected from the environment-friendly rice's production complex in Kyunggi, Kangwon, Chungnam and Chunnam provinces. Survey was conducted with sorted by organic and no-pesticide farming. Of the samples 5 types of organic farming and 4 types of no-pesticide farming were surveyed in 17 and 18 complex, respectively. The farmers income of organic and no-pesticide farming per 10a were individually about $29{\sim}68%$ and 50% higher than the conventional farming. Base on the above results, the reasonable measures fur the stable environment-friendly rice's production and distribution and consumption revitalization were to secure partnership among business, universities, government and research institutes sectors, to organize farmers group and production complex, to establish RPC for environment-friendly rice and to introduce certification system for the distribution dealers.

Analysis of specific character of environment-friendly material-produced rice

  • The effects of mixtures of each of rice hull charcoal and wood charcoal with pyroligneous acid on the cultivation and antioxidant activities of rice were investigated. Results of the total phenolic compounds, DPPH radical electron-donating ability and xanthine oxidase stress activity analyses revealed that the environment-friendly materials increased the total antioxidant capacity in rice. In the case of palatability of rice, total amylose blue value and starch-I2color reaction analyses, data showed that environment-friendly materials generally decreased the amylose content of rice. Also, the environment-friendly materials improved the rice endosperm quality.

농촌마을에서 자연발효형 화장실의 통기성 매질 이용에 관한 연구 (Utilization of the Bulking Agents for Environment-friendly Toilet in Rural Village)

  • The biodegradability test of bulking agents in feces composting process is conducted to increase the management efficiency for environment-friendly rural toilet developed by National Rural Resource Institute in 2001. In the case study through references and field study, ash, fallen leaves, and wood chips are commonly used in the ecological toilet. Extension officers and farmers prefer rice straw, fallen leaves, and chaff among the rural resources as a bulking agents in the aspect of getting and storage as the result of questionnaire survey. As the result of biodegradability test including the temperature change, $CO_2$ gas production, and C/N ratio change of composting pile under the condition of aerobic composting apparatus, rice straw and chaff are good bulking agents for environment-friendly rural toilet. It is recommended that easy getting materials among the above mentioned materials are used for bulking agents as the region and season in environment-friendly rural toilet.

왕우렁이를 이용한 벼 친환경재배포장에서 벼와 왕우렁이 생장에 대한 중간낙수 효과 (Midsummer Drainage Effects on Rice Growth and Golden Apple Snails in Environment-friendly Rice Cultivation)

  • 본 연구에서는 왕우렁이를 이용한 벼 친환경 재배시 왕우렁이에 피해가 되지 않으면서 중간낙수에 의하여 벼 생육을 촉진하는 것이 가능한지 검토하고자 수행하였다. 낙수기간에 따른 토양수분함량과 왕우렁이의 생존율을 온실에서 포트실험을 통하여 조사한 결과, 토양 수분함량은 낙수 후 6일에 39.1%, 9일에 31.9%, 12일에 26.8%, 15일에 21.8%로 감소되었고, 왕우렁이는 치패의 경우 낙수 처리 후 12일까지, 중패는 낙수 처리 후 9일까지 100%의 생존율을 보였고, 낙수 후 15일에는 치패는 93.3%, 중패는 83.3%의 생존율을 보였다. 잡초발생량은 상시담수구와 중간낙수구간에 차이가 없었으며, 중간낙수에 의하여 주당 수수가 증가하여 중간낙수구의 쌀 수량은 511kg/10a로 상시담수구의 쌀수량 445kg/10a보다 66kg/10a 증가한 결과를 보였다.

친환경농산물 학교급식에 대한 학부모의 반응 및 친환경농산물 소비확대 의향 분석 (Analyses of the Awareness of Students' Parents on School Meals and their Intention to increase Consumption of Environment-friendly Agri-products)

  • As a result of analysis on situations of environment-friendly school meals, it was obtained that student's parents were interested in food safety and the importance of sanitary supervision. Many parents responded that environment-friendly school meals increased the health and eating habits of their children. The higher and higher educated parents responded that environment-friendly school meals effected on the children's health positively. Also, the higher educated parents responded that environment-friendly school meals effected on the children's eating habits positively. After the environment-friendly school meals, the item increase to purchase was vegetables by 25% of the consumers who purchase environment-friendly agri-products. The second and third increasing items were respectively fruits and rice. When environment-friendly agri-products were consumpted and influenced positively through school meals, the consumption of environment-friendly agricultural products will be increased. The expansion of environment-friendly school lunch program cannot bring the consumption expansion of environment-friendly agri-products immediately. However, when the persistent promotion and student's parents confidence on environment-friendly agri-products were accumulated and experienced positive effects through school meals, it will give a positive effect on the consumption of environment-friendly agr-products.

브랜드 쌀의 생산기술과 전망 (Prospect and Production Technology of Brand Rice)

  • In recent years, Korean rice must compete with the rice of advanced countries under Doha Development Agenda(DDA) and free Trade Agreement(FTA). Therefore we should find more active and positive solution in rice industry according to the inncreasing power of international pressure. Increasing rice production was the most important policy during the past food-deficient days, but recently, with overproduction of rice, various circulation system by the brand(price)-differentiation should be settled in a recent market of Korea. Nowadays, some advanced rice farmers and Rice Processing Complex(RPC) managers developed new brands of rice with high-quality, adding healthy materials and environment-friendly farming methods. Therefore, the future strategy of making a new brand rice should be planned including selection of rice variety, cultural and post-harvest techniques, circulation and processing methods to compete against foreign rice. And environment-friendly farming is also recommendable for food safety and differentiate from imported rice. For the purpose of successful brand-rice, the following points might be considered. Firstly, selection of good quality rice and continual development of good variety must be conducted for the differentiation of Korean rice from foreign rice. Secondly, a special contract between producer and consumer with functional-rice, organic filming-rice, specific-rice will be recommendable. Thirdly, improvement of post-harvest management and milling system are necessary for the production of differentiated-rice. Fortunately, standard of inspection, rules of description for brand-rice must be developed by a more scientific examination in order to settlement of trust for consumer. Finally, provincial or regional-representative brand rice must be settled and conducted for the development of agreement market system between producer and consumer.

전자선 조사를 이용한 볏짚의 친환경 전처리 공정 (Environmentally-Friendly Pretreatment of Rice Straw by an Electron Beam Irradiation)

  • The autoclaving assisted by an irradiation pretreatment method was developed without toxic chemicals to produce fermentable sugars for their conversion to bioethanol. In the first step, electron beam irradiation (EBI) of rice straw was performed at various doses. The electron beam-irradiated rice straw was then autoclaved with DI water at $120^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. A total sugar yield of 81% was obtained from 300 kGy electron beam-irradiated rice straw after 72 h of enzymatic hydrolysis by Cellulase 1.5L (70 FPU/mL) and Novozyme-188 (40 CbU/mL). Also, the removal of hemicellulose and lignin was 32.0% and 32.5%, respectively. This result indicates that the environmentally-friendly pretreatment method of rice straw by an electron beam irradiation could be applied for bioethanol production in plant.

쌀 수급안정과 식량안보를 위한 친환경·저탄소 농업 전환방안 (Environment-friendly and Low-Carbon Agriculture for Demand-Supply Control and Food Security of Korean Rice)

  • 국내에서 주곡인 쌀은 재배 면적이 감소되고 있으나, 단위 면적당 생산량이 증가되고 쌀 소비는 급감하고 있는 상황에서 외국 쌀 의무수입량은 연간 409천 톤으로 쌀 생산조정 노력에도 불구하고 재고량이 누적되고 있다. 따라서 비상 시 식량안보를 위하여 현 재배면적을 유지하면서 생산량을 감축해야 할 필요성이 있다. 또한 농촌노동력의 노령화 및 지구온난화에 대응하여 노동력 절감과 생산비를 절감으로 농가 소득을 증대하고 친환경 유기농업으로 토양에 유기탄소의 저장력을 높이며, 온실가스 발생량을 줄이는 저탄소 농업기술을 개발, 지속가능한 농업환경을 조성하여 후손에게 물려주어야 할 책무가 있다. 쌀 수급안정에 대한 대안으로서 현 재배면적을 유지하면서 전국의 친환경재배 면적을 현재의 전남 수준인 17%까지 확대하는 1단계, 점차 확산하여 25%까지 확대하는 2단계, 중점확대로 친환경 면적을 35%까지 확대하는 3단계 시나리오를 설정하였다. 쌀 단가를 동일한 고정단가로 분석한 결과 1단계에서는 쌀 생산량은 6만톤 감축되고 생산비는 592억원 증가되며, 소득은 2,015억원 감소될 것으로 추정되었다. 2단계로 친환경농업을 점차 확산할 경우 쌀 생산량은 9만 톤 감축되고, 생산비는 1,221억원 증가되며, 소득은 3,137억원 감소될 것으로 추정되었다. 그리고 3단계에서는 쌀 생산량이 38만 톤 감축되고, 생산비는 2,220억원 증가되며, 소득은 4,645억원 감소될 것으로 추정되었다. 그리고 변동단가를 적용하면 친환경재배는 관행 일반재배에 비하여 소득은 11.5~14.5% 증가되며, 순소득은 -2.9~27.8% 증가되는 효과가 있다. 그리고 저탄소 벼 부분경운 동시 이앙 시범재배 단지 10 ha 조성 시나리오를 설정하여 분석한 결과, 단지별로 쌀 수량은 1.3~1.5톤이 감소되지만 쌀 생산비 감소로 농가소득은 증가되는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 생산조정 면적 8만 ha를 시행하는데 소요되는 정부 재정지출 예산을 감안하면 정부재정 범위 내에서 친환경 및 저탄소 농업 확대에 일정부분 지원이 가능할 것으로 생각되었다. 현재의 쌀 재고량 감축을 위한 재고관리에 일정한 한계가 있는 상황에서, 친환경 및 저탄소 농업으로 인한 생산비 증가나 소득감소를 재정적으로 뒷받침해 타작목에 영향을 최소화하면서 지속가능한 농업 환경 보전은 물론 식량안보와 소비자의 안전에도 기여하는 등, 친환경과 저탄소농업 확대는 적은 비용으로 큰 효과를 거둘 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
