The awareness of ecological friendliness has been emerging in the recent years, and the application to housing is quite notable. The purpose of this study is to evaluate environment-friendly planning factor in Environment-friendly Housing Certification. For this purpose, this study has analyzed 5 multi-family housing in Environment-friendly Housing Certification. The findings of this study are as follows: The application of environment-friendly planning factor in interior space are limited. Most of plans are located in south. The variability of floor plan is not applied but the built-in storage is well-applied. Environment-friendly finishing material and the garden-style balconies was applied in a passive way. This analysis showed current status of planning factor of unit apartment in Environment-friendly Housing Certification and proved basic information for future direction.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between environment-friendly housing behaviors and the influential variables among consumers by focusing on housing life. This research carried out a questionnaire survey with housewives living in Seoul and the Metropolitan area using a questionnaire that was composed based on previous research. The housewives' environment-friendly housing attitudes and their resource-saving knowledge level, along with environmental education-related variables, house ownership, and the housewives' employment appeared to be significant variables in explaining the generic environment-friendly housing behaviors found in this research. Three regression equations, classified into purchasing, utilization, and disposal behaviors, were employed. The empirical results were relatively similar to those for the generic environment-friendly housing behaviors; however, each model provided somewhat different results in some specific aspects. All the environmental education-related variables appeared to be significant in explaining environment-friendly housing utilization behaviors, and were similar to the results obtained from the generic environment-friendly housing behaviors. However, the variables were limited in explaining environment-friendly housing-related disposal behaviors. The convenience, recycling ease, and family-structure variables appeared to be significant influences on environment-friendly housing-related disposal behaviors. Most empirical results of this research were consistent with those of previous studies. However, the explanatory independent variables varied, depending on the types of each domain of environment-friendly housing behaviors studied.

The domestic industry of construction is requiring an application building concept which could be one of the solution to the environment problem sand to the sustainability of development. It means that the consideration of the housing from a environmental friendly point of view is importantly necessary all things and the housing should be planned or responding to the concept of a environmental friendly planing. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to derive the design elements for the environmental friendly housing and to choose the priority element and to bring the planning guideline for the environmental friendly housing. The purpose of this study is to identify pro-environmental attitude of environment-friendly apartment residents, to examine importance of environment-friendly planning features, and to examine environment-friendly planning features according to residents' environmental perception. and now i suggest that important improvement direction by housing estates be accessed and analyzed through environmental approach, because environmentally friendly paradigm is one of the most effective and fundamental methods for developing housing estates.

This study aims to suggest 'an eco-friendly residential housing design guideline as an elderly housing alternative' by mixing the concept of a 'senior citizen community' housing environment with the concept of an 'eco-friendly' housing environment, based on the directivity of an elderly housing alternative for surviving in a super-aged society and the directivity of a sustainable housing environment for providing against global warming. Basically, this study considered the directivity of 'an eco-friendly residential building as an elderly housing alternative' by analyzing housing environment elements and elements to be considered in an elderly housing environment and setting the directivity of an elderly housing environment, which reflects the change in the design paradigm. In relation to the concept of universal design, for considering the perspective of elderly users, existing elements were compared and major planning elements were applied to the scope of complex planning, communal space and housing unit space. In relation to the concept of eco-friendly design, also, a guideline was re-organized and planning elements were applied to each category by comparing domestic and foreign green building certification systems. Based on domestic and foreign authorized guidelines of universal design and green building certification systems, this study was focused on suggesting an eco-friendly residential housing design guideline as an elderly housing alternative to make users perceive the need for a specific indoor environment design guideline and system.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences of residents' and experts' consciousness to the environment-friendly apartment housing in chung-ju city. The contents of this research consists of two main parts. The first part is to select the influential planning factors of the environment-friendly apartment housing based on the case study of 38 housing samples and the inquiry of precedent researches. The second part is to analyze the differences of residents' and experts' consciousness to the planning factors of the environment-friendly apartment housing, in chung-ju city. This research will contribute to the establishment of the site planning methods which increase the quality of residential environment in apartment housing.

Environmental problems caused by rapid industrialization and environmental issues have emerged worldwide. The Green Building Certification Policy has been introduced. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the environment-friendly planning factors in Environment-friendly Housing Certification. Six multi-family housing in Environment-friendly Housing Certification have been analyzed. The findings of this study are as follows. While outdoor planning factor is focused on building arrangement and ecological environment, its application in building material and environment plan is inadequate. In ecological environment, various green planting systems such as green zone and plant inhabitation area are utilized.

This study focused on the analysis of residential satisfaction and environment awareness depending on the environment-friendly level on the outdoor space of the housing complexes. The purpose of this study is to present basic materials of the environment-friendly outdoor space planning of housing complexes. The major findings of the study are as follows. First, the results of the comparative analysis of the satisfaction of the outdoor space of apartment complexes show that the complexes with the most application of environment-friendly elements had higher residential satisfaction. But there was no meaningful statistical difference between the complexes with the higher level of application of the environment-friendly elements and the complexes with medium level of application. Secondly, according to a comparative analysis, the overall residential satisfaction of the apartment complexes was the same as the residential satisfaction of the outdoor space. Thirdly, the results of the correlative analysis of residential satisfaction and environmental awareness showed that the satisfaction of the apartment complexes decreases as the awareness of the environment-friendly apartment complex increases. The results of this study can be used as basic materials for environment-friendly outdoor space planning of apartment complexes.

The purpose of this study was the evaluation about the evaluation of the local community as family-friendly residential environment. We executed the survey to find 1) the evaluation of local community as family-friendly residential environment, 2) the usage and satisfaction of the local community facilities and programs, 3) the improvement of local community as family-friendly residential environment. The method was a residents survey. Data were collected from 160 married men and women with children lived in Seoul and Gyenggi-Do. The findings of this study are as following; It was more satisfactory residential environment with family-friendly elements than residential environment without family-friendly elements in residential environment satisfaction. The children care facilities was used higher. Local community facilities and program for family-friendly residential environment was not satisfied. Local community facilities and program for family-friendly residential environment was needed higher. The representatives as leading role was local community and residents in family-friendly residential environment.

As environmental Problems are increasing, many attempts to solve problems and preserve environment are appearing around the world. Not only in construction, but also dwelling life, residents attend many activities to improve environmental problems. Ecological development example of Freiburg in Germany was focused in this study to show the direction of development of environmental friendly housing complex in Korea. The target of study is Vauban Housing Complex of Freiburg in Germany. The study methods are literature study and field trip. Contents of the study include 1) formation process of the complex 2) physical environment of the complex 3) environmental friendly factors of the complex 4) environmental friendly life style of the residents, etc. Result of this study is as follows. Vauban Housing Complex was remodeled from the existed army buildings by residents themselves through education and negotiations. Residents' life satisfaction and housing adaptation level were high on the whole. The principle of the complex formation was use of natural feature itself in maximum against developing in minimum. For instance, construction materials, energy saving, resources saving were planned and used carefully. The residents led community successfully according to environmental friendly life principles. In conclusion, the persistent study on environmental components is necessary that is suitable to Korean situation.

This study is aimed to grasp the spatial characteristics exhibited in the modern housing architecture from the aspect of a geometrical manipulation, which transforms basic geometrical shapes and persue the formative diversity, to identify and verify the various characteristics of spatial structure in modern housing architecture. In this regard, this paper analyze and identify the influences of the void spaces that are created by geometrical manipulations on housing architecture, in terms of morphological and environmental aspects. Theoretical approaches define the concept of geometrical manipulation according to the characteristics of residence and examine the spatial features of void spaces. Additionally, case studies result in the classification of void spaces that are created by geometrical manipulation. Furthermore, to understand environment-friendly characteristics of the void space, the researcher elicited the factors that can affect environment friendly housing from previous studies, and analyzed their correlation between those factors and the void spaces that are classified.
