State detection of explosive welding structure by dual-tree complex wavelet transform based permutation entropy

  • Recent years, explosive welding structures have been widely used in many engineering fields. The bonding state detection of explosive welding structures is significant to prevent unscheduled failures and even catastrophic accidents. However, this task still faces challenges due to the complexity of the bonding interface. In this paper, a new method called dual-tree complex wavelet transform based permutation entropy (DTCWT-PE) is proposed to detect bonding state of such structures. Benefiting from the complex analytical wavelet function, the dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DTCWT) has better shift invariance and reduced spectral aliasing compared with the traditional wavelet transform. All those characters are good for characterizing the vibration response signals. Furthermore, as a statistical measure, permutation entropy (PE) quantifies the complexity of non-stationary signals through phase space reconstruction, and thus it can be used as a viable tool to detect the change of bonding state. In order to more accurate identification and detection of bonding state, PE values derived from DTCWT coefficients are proposed to extract the state information from the vibration response signal of explosive welding structure, and then the extracted PE values serve as input vectors of support vector machine (SVM) to identify the bonding state of the structure. The experiments on bonding state detection of explosive welding pipes are presented to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

보건의료체계에 대한 전문가 인식 분석 (Analysis of Experts' Views on Health Care: A Survey)

  • Either ways of understanding health care as a commodity or public work are at opposite ends of health care spectrum. These two rival conceptions reflected by viewpoint(ideology) would lead to different directions in policy-making for health care reform. The purpose of this study is to access the value differences of experts' policy views about health care issues by analyzing the extent of consensus among experts in the field of health care. Using primary data obtained through a mail survey of 558 experts in the field of health care, we analyzed the differences of experts' opinions about characteristics of health care market, policy issues and values Gdeology). The study represents from 50-50 split analysis, entropy index, and factor analysis that the wide spread disagreements over health policy, which is a major barriers to effective policy-making, could be caused by the ideological perception differences among experts. This implies that, if values play an important role in policy-making, we should identify the differences in value and seek ways to balance among the diverse values such as efficiency, equity, freedom, and security. For this, the policy issues debated on differences in values should be reconciled for narrowing gaps of experts' perceptions through various ways.

지질매체 공극 구조에 대한 구성 엔트로피와 상자집계 프랙탈 차원의 지구물리학적 의미 및 응용: 무작위 패킹 시뮬레이션 연구 (Geophysical Implications for Configurational Entropy and Cube Counting Fractal Dimension of Porous Networks of Geological Medium: Insights from Random Packing Simulations)

  • 지구물질로 이루어진 공극 구조와 이를 채우고 있는 유체의 상호작용에 대한 이해는 지표 및 지구내부의 다양한 지질학적 현상의 설명에 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 지구물질과 유체의 상호작용을 보다 잘 이해하기 위해, 비표면적과 공극률이 다공성 매질의 공극 구조를 설명하는 매개변수에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 입자의 지름과 공극률을 다양하게 하여 동일한 크기의 구형의 입자로 이루어진 다공성 매질에 대한 삼차원 공극 구조를 무작위 패킹 시뮬레이션으로 얻었고, 이에 대해 구성 엔트로피와 삼차원 상자집계 프랙탈 차원 분석을 하였다 구성 엔트로피 분석 결과, 엔트로피 길이는 비표면적이 2.4에서 $8.3mm^2/mm^3$으로 증가할 때 0.8에서 0.2 mm로 감소하고, 최대 구성 엔트로피는 공극률이 0.33 에서 0.46으로 증가할수록 0.94에서 0.99로 증가하는 뚜렷한 경향을 보인다. 구성 엔트로피와 공극률의 관계로부터 구성 엔트로피가 맨틀 용융체의 탄성과 점성도를 설명하는 변수로 사용될 수 있음을 제시한다. 삼차원 상자집계 프랙탈 차원은 비표면적이 같을 때 공극률이 증가함에 따라 증가하고, 비표면적이 2.4에서 $8.3mm^2/mm^3$으로 증가할 때 2.65에서 2.98로 증가한다. 이러한 삼차원 상자집계 프랙탈 차원과 비표면적, 공극률의 관계로부터 삼차원 상자집계 프랙탈 차원이 지진파 감쇠와 맨틀용융체를 포함한 다양한 지질매체의 구조와 무질서도를 설명하는 변수로 사용될 수 있음을 제시한다.

  • We often extract a new feature from the original features for the purpose of reducing the dimensions of feature space and better classification. In this paper, we show feature extraction method based on independent component analysis can be used for classification. Entropy and mutual information are used for the selection of ordered features. Performance of classification based on independent component analysis is compared with principal component analysis for three real data sets.

Modified Multi-Chaotic Systems that are Based on Pixel Shuffle for Image Encryption

  • Recently, a pixel-chaotic-shuffling (PCS) method has been proposed by Huang et al. for encrypting color images using multiple chaotic systems like the Henon, the Lorenz, the Chua, and the Rossler systems. All of which have great encryption performance. The authors claimed that their pixel-chaotic-shuffle (PCS) encryption method has high confidential security. However, the security analysis of the PCS method against the chosen-plaintext attack (CPA) and known-plaintext attack (KPA) performed by Solak et al. successfully breaks the PCS encryption scheme without knowing the secret key. In this paper we present an improved shuffling pattern for the plaintext image bits to make the cryptosystem proposed by Huang et al. resistant to chosen-plaintext attack and known-plaintext attack. The modifications in the existing PCS encryption method are proposed to improve its security performance against the potential attacks described above. The Number of Pixel Change Rate (NPCR), Unified Average Changed Intensity (UACI), information entropy, and correlation coefficient analysis are performed to evaluate the statistical performance of the modified PCS method. The simulation analysis reveals that the modified PCS method has better statistical features and is more resistant to attacks than Huang et al.'s PCS method.

  • Recently, one of countermeasures against aging SOC infrastructures, performance-focused management including the serviceability, functionality, durability, and economics has been changed from the structural safety-focused evaluation has changed into The current inspection and diagnosis for the major SOC facilities in Korea has been carried out by the specific principle of details, and most of them checked by the visual inspection are focused on the repair and rehabilitation of the damaged structures, thus they are the preventive maintenance. However, the performance-focused management should be replaced for the effective and economic maintenance as wells as for the minimization of the damage. In this regard, this study the appropriacy of the current evaluation items about the concrete retaining wall, one of SOC infrastructures as the previous step forward the performance-focused management. In order to deduct the effective evaluation items in order, the entropy, analytic hierachy process (AHP), and promethee analysis were peformed and the results were compared and discussed.

Latent Semantic Analysis Approach for Document Summarization Based on Word Embeddings

  • Since the amount of information on the internet is growing rapidly, it is not easy for a user to find relevant information for his/her query. To tackle this issue, the researchers are paying much attention to Document Summarization. The key point in any successful document summarizer is a good document representation. The traditional approaches based on word overlapping mostly fail to produce that kind of representation. Word embedding has shown good performance allowing words to match on a semantic level. Naively concatenating word embeddings makes common words dominant which in turn diminish the representation quality. In this paper, we employ word embeddings to improve the weighting schemes for calculating the Latent Semantic Analysis input matrix. Two embedding-based weighting schemes are proposed and then combined to calculate the values of this matrix. They are modified versions of the augment weight and the entropy frequency that combine the strength of traditional weighting schemes and word embedding. The proposed approach is evaluated on three English datasets, DUC 2002, DUC 2004 and Multilingual 2015 Single-document Summarization. Experimental results on the three datasets show that the proposed model achieved competitive performance compared to the state-of-the-art leading to a conclusion that it provides a better document representation and a better document summary as a result.

FCC계 고엔트로피 합금의 냉간 인발 유한요소해석 및 실험적 검증 (Finite Element Analysis and Experimental Verification for the Cold-drawing of a FCC-based High Entropy Alloy)

  • We present a multi-step cold drawing for a non-equiatomic Co10Cr15Fe25Mn10Ni30V10 high entropy alloy (HEA) with a simple face-centered cubic (FCC) crystal structure. The distribution of strain in the cold-drawn Co10Cr15Fe25Mn10Ni30V10 HEA wires was analyzed by the finite element method (FEM). The effective strain was expected to be higher as it was closer to the surface of the wire. However, the reverse shear strain acted to cause a transition in the shear strain behavior. The critical effective strain at which the shear strain transition behavior is completely shifted was predicted to be 4.75. Severely cold-drawn Co10Cr15Fe25Mn10Ni30V10 HEA wires up to 96% of the maximum cross-sectional reduction ratio were successfully manufactured without breakage. With the assistance of electron back-scattering diffraction and transmission electron microscope analyses, the abundant deformation twins were found in the region of high effective strain, which is a major strengthening mechanism for the cold-drawn Co10Cr15Fe25Mn10Ni30V10 HEA wire.

러프 엔트로피를 이용한 범주형 데이터의 클러스터링 (lustering of Categorical Data using Rough Entropy)

  • 객체를 분류하기 위하여 유사한 특징을 기반으로 하는 다양한 클러스터해석은 데이터 마이닝에서 필수적이다. 그러나 많은 데이터베이스에 포함되어 있는 범주형 데이터의 경우에 기존의 분할접근방법은 객체간의 불확실성을 처리하는데 한계가 있다. 범주형 데이터의 분할과정에서 식별불가능에 의한 동치류의 불확실성에 대한 접근논리가 러프집합의 대수학적인 논리에만 국한되어서 알고리즘의 안정성과 효율성이 떨어지는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 범주형 데이터에 존재하는 속성의 의존도를 고려하기 위하여 정보이론적인 척도를 기반으로 러프엔트로피를 정의하고 MMMR이라는 알고리즘을 제안하여 분할속성을 추출한다. 제안된 방법의 성능을 분석하고 비교하기 위하여 K-means, 퍼지에 의한 방법과 표준편차를 이용한 기존의 방법과 비교우위를 ZOO데이터에 국한하여 알아본다. ZOO데이터를 이용하여 기존의 범주형 알고리즘과의 비교우위를 살펴보고 제안된 알고리즘의 효율성을 검증한다.

단과대학별 도서관 장서 활용 현황 분석을 위한 대출데이터 기반 대출지수 비교 (Analysis of Circulation Measures based on Circulation Data of Colleges in a University)

  • 대출데이터는 대학도서관에 축적된 중요한 데이터로서 도서관 장서개발이나 서비스 개선에 활용될 수 있는 중요한 데이터이다. 이 연구는 대출빈도를 기반으로 한 다양한 대출관련지수를 비교분석하여 지수별 특성을 파악한 후 도서관 운영에 적용할 수 있는 타당성을 평가하고자 하였다. A 대학도서관의 10개 단과대학별 대출데이터를 대상으로 비교분석한 지수는 대출빈도, 대출엔트로피, 대출 h-지수, 대출주제차별지수 등 총 4개의 지수이다. 이 지수들을 적용하여 단과대학별 대출현황을 분석하였고 단과대학별로 나타나는 대출주제의 특성을 표하는 각 지수의 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과 대출 엔트로피는 여러 대학이 공통으로 선호하는 주제를 표현하는 성향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 대출주제차별지수는 특정대학에서만 특화되어 대출되는 주제를 표현하는 성향이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
