현행 농어촌 정주권개발사업의 문제점과 개선방안 (A Study on Revising the Program for Enhancing Rural Living Environment in Korea)

  • Since 1990, the Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry(MAF) has implemented the program for enhancing rural living environment (Jungjookunkaebal program) to stabilize rural population and community. The program has focused on providing rural areas with various social infrastructure facilities. But, because the program has been done without appropriate consideration on rural settlement system and the unevenness of rurality, people has discredit its necessity and efficacy. This paper discussed desirable strategies and tools to overcome criticism on the program.

농촌지역 고혈압노인을 위한 동기강화 자가관리프로그램의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Motivation-enhancing Self-management Program for Rural Aged with Hypertension)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a motivation-enhancing self-management program and apply to rural aged with hypertension to evaluate the applicability of the Program. Methods: The motivation-enhancing self-management program was on the evidence of Orem's self-care theory and Ford's Motivational system theory which consists of group education and tele-coaching conducted 12-week. The program evaluation was done by structured questionnaires of motivation (self-efficacy, perceived benefit, perceived barrier and emotional salience), self-care and blood pressure. There were totally 31 aged with hypertension in 2 rural areas enrolled in the program. Results: There was only perceived benefit statistically significant between the intervention and control group (t=2.05, p=.04) and self-care level was no difference between the two groups (t=0.21, p=.84) after program. But there are statistically significant differences of systolic blood pressure between the intervention and control group(t=-2.62, p=.01). Conclusion: The motivation-enhancing self-management program is necessary for the rural aged with hypertension, but it's needed modify and revise in the future study.

학습동기향상프로그램이 학습부진 간호대학생의 학업적 자기효능감, 학습습관 및 자아존중감에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Learning Motive Enhancing Program on Academic Self Efficacy, Learning Habits, and Self Esteem in Underachieve Nursing College Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of learning motive enhancing program on academic self efficacy, learning habits, and self esteem in underachieve nursing college students. Method: This study was an one group pre and post test design. Underachievers in nursing college (n=38) were participated. Learning motive enhancing program was carried out for 110 minutes a week for 8 weeks. Academic self efficacy was measured by an academic self efficacy scale developed by Kim ae young & Park in young in 2001. To assess learning habits, the learning habits measurement scale developed by Kim young jin was used. Self esteem was measured by Rosenberg's self esteem scale. Result: After completing the learning motive enhancing program, significant improvement was found in learning habit and self esteem. As for sub-factors, efficacy for self confidence among academic self efficacy showed significant differences after treatment. Conclusion: Learning motive enhancing program appears to be effective in increasing learning habit and self-esteem of underachievers in nursing college students.

부산지역 치매 재활의 현황 분석 (Analysis of the Current Status of Dementia Rehabilitation in Busan, South Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the current status of dementia management and rehabilitation services in Busan, South Korea, in response to the rapid increase of people with dementia due to the aging of the population. Methods: To investigate the current status of dementia rehabilitation in Busan, a survey was disseminated to dementia safety centers and day- and night-care centers in 16 districts/counties in Busan. Of the 209 day- and night-care centers, 23 institutes were registered in the National Health Insurance Service and received the highest grade (Grade A) in the institute evaluation that was implemented in each district. A telephone interview was conducted, and survey questions were related to the existence of an ongoing dementia rehabilitation program, program presenter, number of participants, progress method, program time, program duration, program contents, and participation path. Results: Dementia safety centers were implementing dementia prevention program, cognitive enhancing program, dementia program, self-help meeting and education program for family of dementia patient. The majority of the presenters of all four dementia-related programs were occupational therapists. The highest number of participants in the dementia prevention program was 15, and the highest number of participants in the cognitive enhancing program, dementia program, self-help meeting and education program for family of dementia patient was 10. All institutes' programs delivered group therapy. As for the time and frequency of the program, most dementia program included three-hour sessions five times a week. Most dementia prevention program, cognitive enhancing program, self-help meeting and education program for family of dementia patient included 60-minute sessions once a week. The most frequently observed program duration for the dementia prevention program and cognitive enhancing program was six months, and the most frequently observed duration for the dementia program was three months. Lastly, study participants most often reported that self-help meeting and education program for family of dementia patient lasted for two months. Among day- and night-care centers in Busan, programs related to cognition were implemented in 18 institutes, and the majority of the program presenters were social workers. Conclusion: In response to the rapidly growing number of dementia patients due to the aging of the population, this study examined the current status of dementia rehabilitation in Busan. The study results underscore the need to develop systems that consider the circumstances in Busan and continuously and systematically support dementia programs.

건강가정사 역량강화 코칭 교육프로그램 개발 기초연구 (A Basic Study on the Development of a Coaching Education Program Enhancing the Capability Training of a Healthy Family Specialist)

  • Healthy family specialists, who must be equipped with comprehensive and specific knowledge on the health of families with an extensive span of duty, should receive continued education for enhancing their capabilities. In this context, this study will focus on a coaching program that brings excellent result in helping healthy family specialists to set up a vision, exercising leadership and improve their personal relations, etc. with a focus on the potential and possibility of persons and organizations. To accomplish the purpose of this study, the present condition of the existing reeducation program for healthy family specialists conducted by the Central Healthy Family Support Center was grasped. This was done through an analysis on the educational programs for nurturing professional coaches executed by many educational institutions in an effort to propose the coaching education program for enhancing the capabilities of healthy family specialists. The contents related to instruction, time, qualifications, etc. proposed in the model developed through the considered educational program could be used in the future for the education of healthy family specialists so that they may enhance their capabilities.

동기강화 프로그램이 노년기 여성의 건강행위, 심혈관질환 위험요인 및 기능적 건강상태에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Motivation-Enhancing Program on Health Behaviors, Cardiovascular Risk factors, and Functional status for Institutionalized Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: This study was to compare changes in health behaviors, motivational factors, cardiovascular risk factors, and functional status (SIP) after implementing the 6-month motivation-enhancing program to institutionalized elderly women. Methods: Sixty-four elderly women participated. Face to face interviews with blood sampling and anthropometric assessment were conducted at the pretest, 10 weeks and 6 months during the program. Results: 1. The program participants showed significantly better health behaviors over 6 months. The mean motivational level was also significantly improved, especially for perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and emotional salience. 2. The mean of cardiovascular risk factors for the participants was 21.8 at the level of low to moderate risk. After completing the program, total risk score was significantly decreased to 18.7 at 10 weeks, and further to 17.7 at 6 months. A significant reduction was also found in HDL and LDL-cholesterol levels, blood pressure, obesity, inactivity, and stress. 3. The functional status (SIP) was 11% at the baseline and significantly changed in positive direction at 10 weeks(M=9.3) and at 6 month(M=6.3). The significant improvement was also found in physical and psychosocial dimensions and sleep/rest dimension. Conclusion: The motivation enhancing program was effective to reduce cardiovascular risks and to improve the functional status of institutionalized elderly women by motivating them to perform better health behaviors.

메타기억 증진 프로그램이 여성노인의 기억수행에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Metamemory Enhancing Program on Memory Performances in Elderly Women)

  • This quasi-experimental study was done to test the effects of meta-memory enhancing program for elderly women. Data were collected 12 to 30, August 2002 from 34elderly women over 65 years living in Busan city. Subjects were 15 of experimental group and 19 of control group. The metamemory enhancing program was developed by five sessions composing of 1.5-2.0 hours one session. In experiment group, this program was performed for three weeks, twice per week. The degrees of four memory performance tasks were measured using instrument of Elderly Verbal Learning Test(Choi Kyung Mi, 1988) and Face Recognition Instrument(Min Hye Sook, 1999) and the metamemory were measured using MIA questionnaire(Dixon et al., 1988). Research results are as following. 1. After participating in five times memory training programs, experimental group has the significant increase of metamemory in comparison with control group.(t=59.58, p< 0.0001). In particular, the concepts of strategy(t=20.44, p< 0.0001), achievement (t=21.94, p< 0.0001), and locus degree (t=59.58, p< 0.0001) among sub-concepts of the metamemory are increasing significantly. 2. After participating in five time memory training programs, the degree of immediate word recall(t=17.25, p< 0.0001) and face recognition(t=16.69, p< 0.0001) among four memory tasks in experimental group are increasing significantly compared with those measures of control group. Considering this results, this metamemory enhancing program was found as an effective nursing program for metamemory improvement of elderly women's memory.

이혼 후 적응을 위한 장기 교육프로그램의 모형개발 (Development of Long Term Education Program for Post-divorce Adjustment)

  • This study constructed a family life education program designed to help divorced parents. The purpose of this research was to develop long term education program for post-divorce adjustment. This program is consisted of 6 sessions aiming for understanding the grief process for adults and the six station of divorce, the recovery through forgiveness, children's response to divorce and coping strategy, the opened mind of parent-child relation, enhancing the self-esteem, the healthy single parent. We expect this program to be helpful in helping divorced parents'post-divorce adjustment, improving parent-child relation and helping future life of divorced parents.

변인 통제 능력을 강화하기 위한 수업 프로그램의 개발 및 적용 효과 분석 (The Development of a Learning Program for Enhancing the Skills of Control Variables and the Effects of Its Applications)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학교 2학년을 대상으로 변인 통제 강화 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 적용했을 때 과학적 사고력, 변인 통제 유형 변화에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 변인 통제 강화 모형은 변인 통제의 필요성을 인식하는 1단계, 학생들이 스스로 실험을 설계하여 진행하는 2단계, 자신들이 설계한 실험 과정을 되돌아보는 3단계로 구성된다. 이러한 모형에 기초하여 변인 통제 강화 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램의 주제는 모두 9가지이며, 후반부로 갈수록 난이도가 높아진다. 프로그램을 적용한 결과, 학생들의 과학적 사고력 점수(로슨 SRT)는 다소 상승하였으나 통계적으로 유의미하지는 않았다. 사전에 실시한 변인 통제 유형 검사에서는 유형A~유형F까지 고루 분포하였는데 사후에는 변인 통제를 잘하는 유형인 유형A와 유형B가 많았다. 프로그램을 마친 후 실시한 설문을 분석한 결과, 학생들은 변인을 통제하는 실험을 하면서 과학적이고 비판적으로 생각해야 하는 점을 어렵고 힘들어했지만 자신감을 얻었음을 알 수 있었다.

사진치료 집단상담 프로그램이 여중생의 자기지각 및 자아존중감 향상에 미치는 효과 (Effect of a Group Counseling Program With Phototherapy on Enhancing the Self-Perception and Self-Esteem of Female Middle School Students)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to verify the effectiveness of a group counseling program with phototherapy for enhancing the self-perception and self-esteem of female adolescents. Methods: The participants of this study were 40 female middle school students with 20 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group. We conducted an 8-week program with a 4-week follow-up session for the participants. Collected data were analyzed with t-tests, ANCOVA, and ANOVA with PASW Statistics 18.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL). Results: The findings showed that the self-perception and self-esteem of the experimental group increased after the program whereas the control group showed no difference. In addition, the phototherapy group counseling program showed that the treatment effect was maintained even after 4 weeks. Conclusion: The group phototherapy program helped the female middle school students' to build a more positive self-concept, with respect to both self-perception and self-esteem.
