Floor impact sound in high-rise apartment building became one of social problems. A lot of civil complaints on floor impact sound occur continuously and the number of disputes between neighbors in small and aged apartment buildings is increasing. Interests on heavy-weight impact sound pressure level measurement and evaluation method is increased. Previous study reported that heavy-weight impact sound level was changed by the sound field condition of receiving reverberation chamber. In this study, heavy-weight impact sound pressure level change by the receiving sound field condition was measured in standard test facility and mock-up test room. These two experimental conditions were designed to simulate averaged living room of common apartment units. By the change of sound absorption power in receiving room, heavy-weight impact sound pressure level in most of frequency bands were changed in standard test facility and mock-up room. Normalized maximum sound pressure level regulated in ISO 16032 showed wider range of heavy/soft impact sound pressure level. Heavy/soft impact sound pressure level change was became smaller by the application of standardized maximum sound pressure level and ISO/CD 10140-3 Amd 2 method. In the case of standardized maximum sound pressure level, absolute sound pressure level changed. From these results, receiving sound field correction method regulated in ISO/CD 10140-3 Amd 2 is needed for the precision measurement and evaluation of heavy-weight impact sound.
Purpose: In order to save the energy consumption of buildings, buildings have been constructed with high performance insulation or airtightness. However, high performance insulation or air tightness has led to a poor indoor air quality. Therefore, HRV(Heat Recovery Ventilator) has received attention to save the energy consumption and insure a good air quality. Because existing research is almost about the performance of HRV in residential buildings, This study analyzed the effect of HRV on cooling energy consumption in commercial office building. Method: This study was proceeded at commercial office building in In-cheon. In order to evaluate the energy consumption of HRV, this study proposed two methods: estimating energy consumption of the room installed AHU(Air Handling Unit) system; estimating energy consumption of the room installed HRV system. Therefore, comparison of two methods was proceeded to evaluate energy performance of each method. Result: As the result of comparison between rooms installed AHU and HRV, the experiment showed that energy consumption of the room installed HRV system is about 22% less than the room of AHU system. This conclusion is considered because the room installed HRV system have maintained temperature well at set point temperature $26^{\circ}C$.

A room-and-pillar underground structure is characterized by its grid-type array of room and pillar. As a result, its construction and economical efficiency can be governed by excavation sequence. In this study, the construction period by the drill and blast method which can be treated as a main sequence for excavation was examined by considering the regulation for blasting and construction standard of estimation in Korea. To evaluate the construction period for the room-and-pillar underground structure constructed in 4 kinds of square-type area ($30{\times}30{\sim}57{\times}57m$), the concurrent excavation pattern which was suggested in the previous researches was used. From the suggested condition, the total construction period by drill-and-blast method can be estimated with the consideration of the construction area, number of jumbo drill and faces in operation.
The nanoindentation behavior of P92 steel with thermomechanical treatment under 3.5 MeV Fe13+ ion irradiation at room temperature, 400 and 700 ℃ was investigated. Pop-in behavior is observed for all the samples with and without irradiation at room temperature, while the temperature dependence of pop-in behavior is only observed in irradiated samples. The average load and penetration depth at the onset of pop-in increase as the irradiation temperature increases, in line with the results of the maximum shear stress. Irradiation induced hardening is exhibited for all irradiated samples, but there is a significant reduction in the hardness of sample irradiated at 700 ℃ in comparison to the samples irradiated at room temperature and 400 ℃. The ratio of hardness to elastic modulus for all samples decreases with increasing penetration depth except for samples at 700 ℃. With the increasing of irradiation temperature, the ratio of the irreversible work to the total work gradually decreases. In contrast, it increases for samples without irradiation.

Recently, there have been many studies pertaining to reducing energy consumption on ships. As part of those studies, the energy consumption of ships can be reduced by understanding and controlling the varying loads, excluding fixed loads. In existing ships, engine room fans are usually operated based on the actual experience of the crew without any special guidelines. To realize energy reduction, we investigate the characteristics of engine-room fans, and we propose an energy-management system called the engine room fan control system (ERFCS) and the ERFCS algorithm. The ERFCS controls the fan speed depending on the temperature and pressure, where one to four fans are operated depending on changes in the load. In addition, the minimum rotation speed of the engine-room fan was limited to 50% to prevent the surging phenomenon, which is due to fan damage or low pressure resulting from mechanical friction or heating at low fan speeds. We develop a fan control system simulation model using LabVIEW that is based on the proposed algorithm and ISO 8861. Finally, we perform simulations to confirm that operation of the proposed fan control system is possible using only 46.4% of the power required by the existing method.

An experimental study has been carried out to investigate the dehumidification characteristics for several operating conditions of a compact desiccant rotor. This problem is of particular interest in the design of a desiccant type of dehumidifier. Room temperature, room humidity, regeneration temperature, revolution speed and frontal air velocity of desiccant rotor are varied as operating conditions. The results obtained indicate that dehumidification rate is increased with an increase in the room humidity while dehumidification effectiveness is not changed much. It is also found that the optimal rotor speed and optimal regeneration temperature exist for maximum dehumidification rate and dehumidification effectiveness.

In this paper, we propose an electronic attendance management system using the bluetooth function of the beacon and BLE advertising function of the smart phone. In the beacon-only bluetooth attendance confirmation system, it is needed more than one beacons according to the class room sizes. A BLE advertising function based attendance confirmation system can not provide the information about the location of the attendances. In the proposed system, we can identify the location of the instructor using the beacon of the class room, and confirm the attendances by checking the position of the attendances's smart phone. In this system, we can achieves the goals of electronic attendance management system using only one beacon per a class room.

A silencer has been widely used for the purpose of suppressing the noises propagated from duct of air conditioning system. The absorption type silencer is usually applied to reduce the noise with high frequency bandwidth. On the order hand, the resonance type silencer is applied to reduce the noise with low-middle frequency bandwidth. The insertion loss of silencer is measured in the reverberation room. The cut-off frequency of reverberation room is 100 Hz. The insertion loss of absorption type silencer is more larger than that for resonance type silencer regardless of changing the flow velocity.
Titanium oxide films were deposited by the HCP (hollow cathode plasma) reactor at room temperature. With results of simulation about HCP reactor, the temperature profile is uniform on substrate regardless of the heat generation at cathode. The velocity profile on the surface of substrate is more uniform with increasing the gap between cathode and substrate, and surface roughness was decreased with increasing the gap between cathode and substrate. We could confirm that the composition of oxide increased with RF-power, and the ratio of O to Ti in the films was about 2 : 1 at RF-power of 240 watt and distance between cathode and substrate of 3 cm.
A new dual-slope ramp (DSR) reset waveform is proposed to improve the dark room contrast ratio in AC-PDPs. The proposed reset waveform has two different voltage slopes during a ramp-up period. The first voltage slope is lower than the conventional ramp voltage slope, causing a reduction in the background luminance, whereas the second voltage slope is higher than the conventional ramp voltage slope, causing an increase in the background luminance. Thus, a bias voltage is also applied during the second voltage-slope period to adjust the background luminance and address discharge characteristics. As a result, the proposed dual-slope reset waveform can lower the background luminance, thereby improving the high dark room contrast ratio of an AC-PDP without reducing the address voltage margin
