PCV 밸브의 스풀 동적거동에 따른 내부유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON INTERNAL FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OF PCV VALVE ACCORDING TO SPOOL DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR)

  • A PCV valve is a part to control the flow rate of Blowby gas in a PCV system. A PCV system re-burns Blowby gas with fuel in a combustion chamber. Some gas enters to a crankcase room through the gap between piston ring and engine cylinder wall. This gas si called 'Blowby gas'. This gas causes many problems. In environmental view, Blowby gas includes about $25\~35\%$ hydrocarbon{HC) of total generated HC in an automobile. Hydrocarbon is a very harmful pollutant element in our life. In mechanical view, Blowby gas has some reaction with lubricant oil of crankcase room. Then, this causes lubricant oil contamination, crankcase corrosion and a decrease fo engine efficiency. Consequently, Blowby gas must be eliminated from a crankcase room. In this study, we simulated internal flow characteristics in a PCV valve according to spool dynamic behavior using local remeshing method And, we programmed our sub routine to simulate a spool dynamic motion. As results, spool dynamic behavior is periodically oscillated by the relationship between fluid force and elastic force of spring. And its magnitude is linearly increased by the differential pressure between inlet and outlet. Also, as spool is largely moved, flow area is suddenly decreased at orifice. For this reason, flow velocity is rapidly decreased by viscous effect.

Research and development of haptic simulator for Dental education using Virtual reality and User motion

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop simulations that can be used for virtual education in dentistry. The virtual education to be developed will be developed with clinical training and actual case data of tooth extraction. This development goal is to allow dental students to learn the necessary surgical techniques at the point of their choice, not going into the operating room, away from time, space, and physical limits. I want to develop content using VR. Oculus Rift HMD, Optical Based Outside-in Tracking System, Oculus Touch Motion Controller, and Headset as Input / Output Device. In this configuration, the optimization method is applied convergent, and when the operation of the VR contents is performed, the content data is extracted from the interaction analysis formed in the VR engine, and the data is processed by the content algorithm. It also computes events and dental operations generated within the 3D engine programming and generates corresponding events through data processing according to the input signal. The visualization information is output to the HMD using the rendering information. In addition, the operating room environment was constructed by studying lighting and material for actual operating room environment. We applied the ratio of actual space to virtual space and the ratio between character and actual person to create a spatial composition at a similar rate to actual space.

선박기관사고의 주성분분석 (Principal Component Analysis of Marine Engine Troubles)

  • 1980년부터 1985년까지 6년 간의 우리나라 해난사고 중 기관손상사고를 발췌하여 주성분분석법에 의하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 여러 가지의 기관손상사고 중 축계, 실린더 계통 및 추진기의 손상사고율이 매우 높은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 2. 치차, 실린더 계통의 손상은 재질불량, 노후마모 등의 기계적 원인에 의한 사고율이 높으며 추진기, 각종 관계통의 사고는 취급 부주의, 불완전 수리 등 soft적인 원인에 의한 경우가 많다. 3. 치차, 축계 등의 사고는 매우 중손이며 관계통이나 추진기 사고는 비교적 경손이다. 4. 대부분의 사고는 인간의 실수, 부주의 등 soft적인 원인에 의하여 발생한다.

엔진 냉각시스템 성능해석에 관한 연구 (The Study about the Performance-Analysis of a Automotive Engine Cooling System)

  • An engine cooling system affects overall performances of an engine which has been recently requested higher power in more confined engine room. The design of efficient cooling system demands a great effort to effectively correlate with each components, such as water jacket, radiator, coolant pump, cooling fan, etc. Thus, the aim of this study is to provide the design tool of the cooling system in the early design stage by enabling for the designer to accurately predict the engine cooling performances. This user-friendly design tool has various ways to assemble each components and control the running condition with related database. The present design tool was simulated and compared with experimental data. As a result, the inlet and outlet temperature of the radiator agree very well with experiments. It was concluded that the present design tool could be effectively used for the design of the engine cooling system.

선내 항해통신장비 및 추진장비에 대한 전자파환경 연구 (A study on the Electromagnetic Environment for the Navigation Device and Propulsion Device in Ship)

  • 육상에서의 전자파 환경에 대한 연구는 지속적인 투자와 연구가 이루어지고 있지만 해상의 환경인 선박의 전자파 환경에 관한 시험 및 분석은 연구되어 지지 않는 실정이다. 선박은 최상층 갑판구역, 선교, 기관실로 구성되어있다. 최상층갑판구역은 안테나 및 레이더가 탑재되어 있다. 선교는 안전한 항해를 위한 항해장비가 탑재되어있다. 마지막으로 기관실에서는 선박의 추진시스템에 사용되는 배전반이 탑재되어있다. 따라서 본 연구는 선박이라는 특정 공간에서의 전자파 환경을 분석 후 해상환경에 적용 가능한 최적 기준을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 국내외 전자파 기준을 활용하여 실선 한국해양대학교 실습선 한바다 호를 측정 후 측정결과를 국내 기준, 이탈리아 기준과 분석하여 선박의 기관실에 대한 국내 기준 적용에 한계가 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 추후 선박의 전자파 인체 보호 기준 정립을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

4톤급 지게차 냉각홴 소음 저감에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Noise Reduction of Cooling Fans for Four-ton Forklift Machines)

  • This paper presents research on methods for the reduction of forklifts' noise level for the increased comfort and safety of its operator. A cooling fan with a high air volume flow rate installed in the forklift acts as an important design parameter which efficiently cools the heat exchanger system, helping to transfer internal heat from the engine room to the outdoors with both transmitted and diffracted opening noises. The cooling fan contributes significantly to both the forklift's emitted sound power and the operator room's noise level, thereby necessitating research on the forklift's reduction of acoustic power level and transmission. A noise analysis for various fan models with a biomimetic design based on eagle-wing geometry was conducted. In addition to the acoustic power generation, the aerodynamic performance of the cooling blade is also strongly influenced by the design of airfoil distribution, thereby requiring optimization. The cooling fans were fabricated and installed in the forklift in order to check the efficacy of the forklift engine's cooling, and the final version of the fan was measured for its ability to lower acoustic power level and cool the engine room. This study explains the aerodynamic and acoustic features of the designed fans with the use of BEM analysis and forklift test results.

긴급 구난차량의 발전시스템에 관한 연구 (A Application Method of Engine-Generator Power System in Ambulance)

  • Recently, the electric device has been launching owing to the development of industry. That development also can maximize the efficiency of generator. The emergency rescue vehicle operation differs from ordinary vehicles in engine life and usage distances. For the application of this system, this research proposes the ways to operate the emergency rescue vehicle operations more efficiently. Currently, many power systems, especially motors, developed with a large output of power. It is possible to produce electricity in the engine room with enough space and to operate all equipment within the rating load capacity.

An Analysis on Simulator Scenarios for the Integrated Evaluation when Applied to Teamwork by Deck and Engine Officers

  • The evaluation systems in SHS(Ship Handling Simulator) or ERS(Engine Room Simulator) give trainees the opportunity to feedback how they responded suggesting them the operation result by scores. If SHS and ERS are integrated each other by network to enable the synchronous training for both deck and engine officers these systems need to include inherently the function of integrated evaluation which produces the evaluation score for the team play of deck and engine officers. The integrated evaluation is effective especially when assessing the responses at emergency situation of ship or the matter of efficiency of ship operation even if assessors feel difficult in editing simulation scenarios for integrated evaluation. This study focuses on the property of integrated evaluation and considerations when editing them. It suggests also a useful procedure to estimate whether a scenario for integrated evaluation is reasonable and balanced or not based on the analysis in the proprieties and reasonabilities which are to be prepared by assessors before testing trainees or examinees.

NIMONIC 86 소재의 소형 선박디젤엔진 배기밸브 적용에 관한 비교 해석 (Comparative Analysis on Application of Exhaust Valve of Small-sized Marine Diesel Engine for NIMONIC 86 Material)

  • In this paper, NIMONIC 86 material was tried to apply to exhaust valve for small-sized marine diesel engine. The both structural stability and thermal resistance in high temperature were needed to use the NIMONIC 86 material as exhaust valve for small-sized marine diesel eng ine. The purpose of this study is to investig ate the application of NIMONIC 86 material to exhaust valve of small-sized marine diesel engine by comparing, respectively, SUH 3 and STS 316 materials. As the results, NIMONIC 86 material has intermediate characteristics between SUH 3 and STS 316 materials in terms of the strength in condition of room temperature. Further NIMONIC 86 material was evaluated to have better characteristics than SUH 3 and STS 316 materials in terms of the thermal conductivity.
