IT기반의 선박에너지절감시스템 성능평가 방법-(2) : 해상시험 수행 결과 (Energy Efficiency Evaluation of IT based Ship Energy Saving System-(2) : Ship Test Results)

  • IMO에서는 선박온실가스 규제를 위해 2013년부터 현존선의 선박에너지효율관리계획인 SEEMP (Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan)의 시행을 강제화하고 있다. SEEMP에서 권고하는 에너지절감기술 가이드라인은 크게 하드웨어적인 장비의 탑재 및 개조 또는 소프트웨어적인 기술을 통한 연료유 절감효과로 구분된다. 신조선의 경우 하드웨어적인 기술구현이 용이하지만 현존선의 경우 운항상 제약으로 인해 소프트웨어적인 에너지 절감기술 구현이 적용되고 있다. IT기반의 선박에너지절감 시스템 성능평가를 위해 해상시험을 수행하였고, 시스템 적용 전후의 항차데이터를 이용하여 연료유 절감효과를 비교 분석 하였다. 또한, SEEMP에서 자발적인 사용을 권고하고 있는 선박 경제운항 지표 (EEOI, Ship Energy Efficiency Operation Indicator) 분석을 통한 성능평가 결과를 제시하였다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the energy saving and cost benefit analysis of the Low-income Energy Efficiency Treatment Program supported by KOREF(Korea Energy Foundation). This program was launched in 2007 and performs building energy retrofit for the low-income and energy poverty houses. Method: Energy simulation and cost benefit analysis were accomplished for the low-income detached houses. The structure of detached house was a lot og block structure, wood frame (single glass) and concrete roof. Baseline model of the low-income detached houses was proposed. Result: Annual heating energy consumptions were decreased by about 3.2% with the window system replacement(Case 1), 9.3% with reinforcement of insulation(Case2), and 12.5% with both(Case 3) compared to those of baseline model. The construction cost will be recouped within 5 years for the Case 1, 3 years for the Case 2, and 3 years for the Case 3. Case 3 was the most cost beneficient construction method in the analyzed cases in this study.

  • Diverse approaches for reducing the total energy consumption of machine tools have been introduced and developed, to cope with rapid increase of total energy costs in world-wide manufacturing industries. To realize the improvement of the energy efficiency, systematic and integrated strategies must be considered, including energy-saving design, optimized control operation and concrete evaluation of the energy efficiency. This paper proposes key enabling technologies required to improve the energy efficiency of 5-axis multi-functional machining tools, considering both of system design and operation in the real production environments. Related standardized procedures of the energy efficiency evaluation is also represented.

  • released by IEA, 2010, indicated that Korea's GDP, of 8 countries surveyed-Korea, Frans, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, the USA, and Australia-was the lowest, but the electric consumption per head was third, following America and Australia. Thus, our government has been striving to reduce energy usage and especially to lessen the energy used in buildings, proposing a variety of road maps such as 'building energy efficiency rating' and 'energy saving design standards of buildings'. Accordingly, this study investigated the effect of the items of machine part among EPI items on the energy saving rate. I measured energy usage by ECO2 program, for simulation program, that is used for the building energy efficiency rating. Result showed that items concerning control of pumps and fans had much more saving rate than the ones concerning efficiency of heater and cooler that had bigger scores assigned among EPI items. Therefore, I think that grades assigned to items in energy performance index need to be corrected.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate energy savings for inverter driving multi-stage centrifugal pump. Variable speed driving pump system has high efficiency compared with constant speed driving pump system. Because of difficulty to estimate operating efficiency of variable speed driving pump system, energy saving rates are used to replace operating efficiency. energy saving rates are calculated from pump input power and pump duty cycle. But another researches have used pump duty cycles of each season for energy saving rate. In this study, for estimating energy saving rate more high accuracy, pump duty cycles are measured for 1 year. pump duty cycles, depending on the season and be classified according to the weekday/weekend or during the week day. By this pump duty cycles, Energy saving rate is calculated appropriately.

A study on the Development of Energy-Saving Device "Crown Duct"

  • A energy saving device "Crown duct" has been developed and its efficiency gain has been verified experimentally in the towing tank of SSPA. The preswirl stator is well known as one of energy saving devices, which recovering the rotational energy of propeller slipstream. Crown duct has two functions of recovers the rotational energy by three blades on top of duct and of flow concentration by semi-duct. The model tests showed 4.4% efficiency gain with Crown Duct at full load condition and 6.9% at ballast condition compared with the bare hull ones for the middle class tanker.

  • This study takes notes on energy problems and sustainability of rural housing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the actual conditions of rural and applying energy saving of rural housing. For this, we tried to review literatures and conduct a field survey. The results of this study were as follows, first, rural housing of energy saving type environmental friendly applied planning factors with gradual carbon decrease by considering economic efficiency, current application and technical level. Second, the principal concepts of this housing are economic, locality and energy efficiency, it is applicable three kinds of the concepts of environmentally friendly housing. Third, this housing in planning must decrease energy consumption and increase air conditioning efficiency by means of air tightness and improvement insulation capacity.

  • The main task of agro-industrial production is to provide the population with food products for the production of which energy is expended in the form of electricity, technical means, fuels and lubricants, mineral fertilizers, etc. Accordingly, we have developed a concept and general methodological principles for the analysis of ecological and biotechnical systems in animal husbandry, it makes it possible to simulate the influence of various factors on the energy and ecological efficiency of systems, to compare and search for energy-saving modes and technologies. General methodological principles have been developed for the analysis of energy efficiency and environmental safety of agricultural ecological and biotechnical systems, which are based on the definition of the bioenergy efficiency coefficient, the quantitative expression of which is the ratio of energy accumulated in products to the total energy consumption for its production. This makes it possible to model with sufficient accuracy the influence of various factors on the energy and environmental efficiency of the system, to compare and search for energy-saving modes and technologies in order to find and select the most energy efficient ones to increase the energy efficiency of the complex.

  • The recent environmental protection trend requires more strict energy saving, therefore every transportation system should reduce energy consumption to the minimum value. High-efficiency operation system, energy saving and CO2 emissions shall be addressed as important issue in railway system. These issues are the most essential factors of railway, compared to major public transportation system. Recently, saving energy in the electric railway system has been studied. For such new energy saving, the Energy storage system is considered for saving energy. Energy saving is possible by efficient use of regenerated energy. Regenerated energy is recycled amongst vehicles by mean of charge and discharge corresponding to powering and braking of electric vehicle operations. This energy saving contributes to cut CO2 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling regenerated energy demonstrate significant effect on peak cut of consumption energy in railway substation. Absorption of excess energy avoids regeneration failure due to high traction voltage. This paper presents effects by applying the energy storage system to SeoulMetro Line 2.

  • 선박온실가스 규제를 위한 SEEMP (Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan) 기술 중 선박에너지절감을 위한 조치는 하드웨어적인 장비를 선박에 탑재하여 구현하거나, 인적교육 및 운항패턴 개선 등과 같은 소프트웨어적인 방식으로 구현 가능하다. 선체저항개선을 위한 기술 중 하드웨어적인 장비 개조를 통해 구현되는 기술은 현존선에 적용하는데 장비의 규모 등에 의한 제약이 발생한다. 반면 소프트웨어적인 에너지절감기술의 구현은 저렴한 도입비용과 하드웨어적인 방식에 비해 높은 에너지 절감효과를 보이며, 선종에 크게 구애받지 않고 적용이 용이하다는 장점을 가지고 있어 IT 기술을 이용한 선박에너지절감기술이 요구되어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IT 기반의 선박에너지절감 기술을 검증하기 위하여 대표적인 3개 선종에 대한 실선 모델링 기반의 선박조종시뮬레이터를 이용한 육상시험을 수행하였다. 시뮬레이터를 이용한 성능검증 방법은 6개의 다양한 환경조건에서 에너지절감기술 적용 전후의 운항결과로부터 에너지절감효과를 비교 분석하고, 해상상태에 따른 구간별 비교결과를 통해 IT기반 에너지절감시스템의 성능평가를 수행하였다. 벌크, 컨테이너, VLCC 선종을 이용한 육상시험 결과 컨테이너선의 연료절감률이 가장 크게 나타났고, 육상시험 대상선박 모두 선박에너지절감시스템 사용전과 비교하여 연료절감효과를 보였다.
