Automatic Augmentation Technique of an Autoencoder-based Numerical Training Data (오토인코더 기반 수치형 학습데이터의 자동 증강 기법)

  • This study aims to solve the problem of class imbalance in numerical data by using a deep learning-based Variational AutoEncoder and to improve the performance of the learning model by augmenting the learning data. We propose 'D-VAE' to artificially increase the number of records for a given table data. The main features of the proposed technique go through discretization and feature selection in the preprocessing process to optimize the data. In the discretization process, K-means are applied and grouped, and then converted into one-hot vectors by one-hot encoding technique. Subsequently, for memory efficiency, sample data are generated with Variational AutoEncoder using only features that help predict with RFECV among feature selection techniques. To verify the performance of the proposed model, we demonstrate its validity by conducting experiments by data augmentation ratio.

  • We propose an ultrashort pulse optical code-division multiple-access (O-CDMA) scheme based on a pseudorandom binary M-sequence spectral phase encoding and decoding of coherent mode-locked laser pulses and perform a numerical simulation to analyze its feasibility. We demonstrate the ability to properly decode any of the multiple (eight) 10 Gbit/s users by the matched code selection of the spectral phase decoder. The peak power signal to noise ratio of properly and improperly decoded $8{\times}10 Gb/s$ signals could be greater than 15 for 127 M-sequence coding.

  • ALC(Asyncronous Layered Coding)는 LCT(Layered Coding Transport)기반의 폭넓은 확장성과 다양한 전송속도로 신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트 전송을 주 목적으로 한다. ALC는 다른 RMT 프로토콜과는 달리 재전송을 하지 않고 receiver-driven 형태의 혼잡제어를 하기 때문에 신뢰성을 제공하기 위해 FEC(Forward Error Correction) 스킴를 이용한다. 본 논문은 신뢰적인 멀티캐스트 전송 프로토콜을 위해 ALC와 FEC 스킴 중 하나인 LDPC 코드를 이용하여 구현한다. 인코딩 비율(Encoding ratio)에 따라 일정 수준 이상의 복구 성공 확율에 대해 최대 허용 가능한 패킷 손실률을 측정하여 신뢰치를 측정한다. 마지막으로 일대다의 파일 전송 시, TCP와 비교하여 본 구현물의 유연성과 효율성에 대해 분석 및 평가한다.

Ribosomal Protein S4 Genes in Macaca fuscata: Sequence, Evolution, and Phylogeny

  • The cDNA encoding ribosomal protein S4(RPS 4) from an ovary cDNA library of the Japanese monkey (Macaca fuscata) was cloned and sequenced. The RPS4X gene from monkey X chromosome encodes a deduced protein of 263 amino acids and share 99.1% cDNA sequence similarity and 100% amino acid sequence identify with the human RPS4X. Rate of synonymous substitution was higher in RPS4Y than in RPS4X in comparison to the monkey and human. The ratio of synonymous and nonsynonymous substitutions per site indicated that directional selection has nor occurred in RPS4 genes. Phylogenetic analysis using the neighbor-joining method revealed that X and Y-linked RPS4 genes have evolved independently.

  • Wavelet transformation in image compression is to offer higher image compressibility and high-quality by quantization and entropy encoding. More image quality is good that reconstructed image by wavelet calculation than acquire cosine transform.   • H.264/AVC is an authoritative international video coding standard which shows code and efficiency more improved than the existing video standards. Above all, the parameter block mode of H.264/AVC significantly contributes much to high compression efficiency. However, as the occasion demands, users tend to pass while overlooking the part that can produce a little higher compression efficiency. We, taking notice of this point, are designed to bring in much higher compression efficiency by gathering up the overlooked parts. This paper suggests the algorithm that produces efficient performance improvement by using the histogram of luminance in the pixel unit (Macroblock) of respective prediction block and applying specific thresholds. The experimental results proves that the technique proposed by this paper increases the compression efficiency of the existing H.264/AVC algorithm by 0.4% without any increase in the whole encoding time and PSNR complexity.

  • An efficient intra mode selection algorithm is proposed to reduce the computational complexity of inter frames for the H.264|AVC video encoding system. We propose an adaptive thresholding algorithm based on distribution characteristics of the sum of the absolute differences (SAD) of the best inter mode. Through comparative analysis, the proposed algorithm shows better speed up ratio with a negligible quality loss.

  • The integration method of binary and real encoding in genetic algorithm is proposed to deal with design variables of various types in gear drive design. The method is applied to optimum design of multi-stage gear drive. Integer and Discrete type design variables represent the number of teeth and module, and continuous type design variables represent face width, helix angle and addendum modification factor etc. The proposed genetic algorithm is applied for the gear ratio optimization and the volume optimization(minimization) of multi-stage geared motor which is used in field. In result, the proposed design optimization method shows an effectiveness in optimum design process and the new design has a better results compared with the existing design.

  • In this paper, it used a different pipeline method from conventional method which is encoding the video signal of analog with digital. It designed with pipeline structure of 4 phases as the pixel clock ratio of the whole operation of the encoder, and secured the stable operational timing of the each sub-blocks, it was visible the effect which reduces a gate possibility as designing by the ROM table or the shift and adder method which is not used a multiplication flag method of case existing of multiplication of the fixed coefficient. The designed encoder shared with the each sub-block and it designed the FPGA using MAX+PLUS2 with VHDL.

  • In this paper, we described the ECG telemetry system via the Public Telephone Line. The system consist of a signal acquisition and measurement section, a signal processing section, and a signal transmission section. It used 8 bits microprocessor. The transmission section is composed of 3 ch. analog modulators and 1 ct. digital modem. Especially, using the digital modem, signal is transmitted with about 50n data reduction ratio by the TP (Turning Point) algorithm. The acoustic coupler or inductive coil for linking the public telephone line are used. The speed of the digital modem is 300 baud rate. The MCBS (Multi Channel Biotelemetry System) is tested and evaluated through the experiment.
