Background: Use of appropriate antibiotics for the treatment of pneumonia is integral in patients admitted to intensive care units (ICUs). Although it is recommended that empirical treatment regimens should be based on the local distribution of pathogens in patients with suspected hospital-acquired pneumonia, few studies observe patients admitted to ICUs with nursing home-acquired pneumonia (NHAP). We found factors associated with the use of inappropriate antibiotics in patients with pneumonia admitted to the ICU via the emergency room (ER). Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study of 83 pneumonia patients with confirmed causative bacteria admitted to ICUs via ER March 2015-May 2017. We compared clinical parameters, between patients who received appropriate or inappropriate antibiotics using the Mann-Whitney U, Pearson's chi-square, and Fisher's exact tests. We investigated independent factors associated with inappropriate antibiotic use in patients using multivariate logistic regression. Results: Among 83 patients, 30 patients (36.1%) received inappropriate antibiotics. NHAP patients were more frequently treated with inappropriate antibiotics than with appropriate antibiotics (47.2% vs. 96.7%, p<0.001). Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus was more frequently isolated from individuals in the inappropriate antibiotics-treated group than in the appropriate antibiotics-treated group (7.5% vs. 70.0%, p<0.001). In multivariate analysis, NHAP was independently associated with the use of inappropriate antibiotics in patients with pneumonia admitted to the ICU via ER. Conclusion: NHAP is a risk factor associated with the use of inappropriate antibiotics in patients with pneumonia admitted to the ICU via the ER.
This study aims to analyze the effects of satisfaction on behavioral intentions depending on brand equity based on the consumers who visited specialty coffee shops in Busan. The self-administered method was used for empirical analysis and 295 copies (89%) out of 300 copies of questionnaires were used for analysis. For data processing, the SPSS WIN Version 15.0 statistical package program was used and the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis were conducted so the hypothesis was verified through the regression analysis. As a result, for the hypothesis that "Brand equity(perceived quality, brand awareness, brand image) will have a significant impact on satisfaction," perceived quality, brand awareness, and brand image had a significant impact on satisfaction. Satisfaction was shown to have a significant impact on behavioral intentions for the hypothesis that "Satisfaction will have a significant impact on behavioral intentions" For the hypothesis that "Brand equity(perceived quality, brand awareness, brand image) will have a significant impact on behavior intentions," perceived quality and brand awareness had a significant impact on behavioral intentions while brand image didn't. Based on the results of this study, companies should be systematically managed to prepare strategies to remind consumers of their brands and focus on to strengthen brand equity effectively in order to build a competitive brand.
This study conducted the empirical analysis of the influence that are quality attributes, and strengths, weaknesses, low ranking and excess of Korean restaurants menu on revisit intention based on differences between importance and satisfaction by surveying Korean students in Paris, and also conducting IPA analysis based on survey result. The result of IPA analysis showed weaknesses that are the visual elements of foods; in contrast it showed strengths that are the price, temperature, taste, quantity, cleanliness, freshness, and flavor of dishes. Also it showed low ranking that are seasonal items, authenticity, originality, sizes, colors, texture, explanations, ingredients, recipes of menu, classification of healthy food, suitability of bowls, creativity of existing food. Therefore, it is found that the higher recognition of attributes, organic functions, properties, and explanations of menu, the higher revisit intention. It showed that explanations, sensibility, characters, quality of menu influenced on revisit intention according priority by analysis of quality attributes of menu on revisit intention. This study is significant in that it provides useful data services for marketing strategies and operational suggestions to globalization of Korean food by analysis local menu of Korean food service industry.

This study looked into entrepreneur-like psychological characteristics such as achievement needs and entrepreneurship including start-up motivation in order to discover factors that would affect start-up intention which can be referred to as an origin of start-up vitalization and to discuss causal relations among the factors. In other words, the study took a look into how both achievement needs and entrepreneurship would influence start-up intention as focusing on mediating roles of start-up motivation. To achieve the research goal, the study conducted an empirical analysis on a total of 181 samples of survey gathered from founders of these companies that had moved into a start-up support center. Findings of the analysis reported that first of all, achievement needs and entrepreneurship have positive effects on start-up motivation, and the study confirmed that the two variables work as antecedent variables of start-up motivation. Second of all, start-up motivation is significantly connected to start-up intention, and that definitely proved precedence relation following relation between the two variables. Third of all, mediating effects of start-up motivation on relations among start-up needs, entrepreneurship and start-up intention which are said to be cores of this study were observed. To sum up, the study learned that start-up motivation as a mediator contributes to how achievement needs and entrepreneurship would strengthen start-up intention. In conclusion, the study suggests that these entrepreneur-like psychological characteristics such as achievement needs, entrepreneurship and especially start-up motivation should be improved if anyone would like to increase start-up intention. Based on results presented above, the study offers theoretical and practical implications in relation to start-up intention.

So many researchers have been interested in key success factors of technological start-ups. However, previous studies have not focussed on Concreteness of technological capabilities at the growth stages and industry in technological start-ups. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Concreteness of technological capabilities that have influence on performance of technological start-ups. Empirical data was collected from 342 firms in BI in Korea. It used the questionnaire method for the CEO, It is executed the Regression analysis to test hypotheses of influencing effects. Results of the hypothesis testing are summarized as follows: First, It was found that technological capabilities had statistically significant influence on firm performance. But the property based resources had lower significant influence. Second, This research found that the knowledge based resources had higher significant influence on technological start-ups performance at IT industry. Third, The knowledge based resources had higher significant influence on performance at growth stages. In conclusion, technological capabilities were verified as important firm resources of technology-based start-ups for firm performance. But the Concreteness of technological capabilities was significant differences by growth-stage of firms.

In 2013, the small retailer organized support service, which commenced in 2009, has been expanding its place in the policy by transforming into a small retailer cooperating support service. This support service supports two main sides. One of them is strengthening the financial aspects of the scale by organizing the small retailers in order to make the distribution efficient. The second is improving the management and enhancing the efficiency through visitation education. This research focuses on studying the effects of the visitation education which is one of the two aspects of small retailers support service. Empirical analysis on the effects of the visitation education's quality on the loyalty of support service and business performance was performed in detail by dividing the structure of the companies into chain form and combined form of small retailers. According to the results of the analysis, the visitation education's quality positively affected the support service's loyalty without any restrictions on the structures of the retailers. However in the business performances, the visitation education's quality only showed positive effects on the combined form of small retailers. Therefore, it is implied that in order to continuously receive support program by increasing the loyalty of the retailers, the quality of the visitation education must be increased and the retailer support service need to be considering the structure of the companies in order to improve small retailer's business performance.

Considering that the subject of innovation of SMEs is the CEO, it is very important to study the innovation behavior of the CEO at the individual level. The purpose of this study is to examine factors affecting innovation work behavior of SME CEOs. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of self-compassion and self-transcendence on innovation work behavior, which are the emotional intelligence factors that show the psychological growth and potential of individual, and the career ambition and positive psychological capital did. In order to verify the research hypothesis, we analyzed 238 questionnaires collected from CEOs and executives of SMEs focused on auto parts and manufacturing. Factors affecting innovation behavior of SME CEO are summarized as follows. First, career ambition has a positive effect on positive psychological capital. Second, positive psychological capital has a positive effect on innovation work behavior. Third, self-compassion of CEO has positive influence on self - transcendence. Fourth, the self-transcendence of CEO has a positive effect on innovation work behavior. This study confirms the relationship between CEO career ambition, positive psychological capital, self-compassion, self-transcendence, and innovation work behavior of SME CEO and confirms the influence relationship between positive psychological capital and self-transcendence It is meaningful. Finally, theoretical and practical implications were discussed based on the results of the study.

This study is an effort to develop a series of empirical procedure for the determination of design flood for a small watershed based on the unit hydrograph theory. It is shown that a flood discharge of a watershed with a specific return period can be expressed as a product of its watershed area, rainfall factor, runoff factor and flood peak reduction factor. Since the procedures for the determination of rainfall factor and runoff factor were already developed in the previous study (13) a series of step-by-step procedure is devised to empirically determine the flood peak reduction factor in the present study. Using the methodology developed herein the 50-year design flood, which is of concern in the drainage of agricultural lands, is estimated for a watershed on upper Kyungan River and compared with the design floods by the existing methods now in use. The flood peak reduction factor was correlated with the dimensionless parameter consisted of the rainfall duration divided by the basin lag time, which was computed from the derived unit hydrographs by the method of moment. The unit hydrographs of various durations were synthesized by the method of build up and S-curve. A multiple correlation was also made between the basin lag time and the physiographic parameters of the watershed, i.e., the stream length and the average stream slope.
Recently CFRP laminate joints process by bolts and nets are developed rapidly in aircraft industries. However, there are serious drawback during jointing process. Many hole processes are needed for the manufacturing and structural applications using composite materials. Generally, very durable polycrystalline crystalline diamond (PCD) drill has been used for the CFRP hole process. However, due to the expensive price and slow process speed, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond drill has been used increasingly which are relatively-low durability but easily-adjustable process speed via drill shape change and price is much lower. In this study, the comparison of hole process between PCD and CVD diamond coated drills was done. First of all, CFRP hole processbility was evaluated using the equations of hole processing conditions (feed amount per blade, feed speed). The comparison on thermal damage occurring from the CFRP specimen was also studied during drilling process. Empirical equation was made from the temperature photo profile being taken during hole process by infrared thermal camera. In addition, hole processability was compared by checking hole inside condition upon chip exhausting state for two drills. Generally, although the PCD can exhibit better hole processability, hole processing speed of CVD diamond drill exhibited faster than PCD case.

Recently, BIM(Building Information Modeling) is on the rise as a customized solution for construction environment, but construction companies rarely introduce and apply BIM in the construction site. Due to such issues, the fact that empirical data for evaluating the quantitative effect of BIM application is insufficient might be an another main reason. In the end, construction companies cannot assure investment effect of BIM and therefore don't make an investment actively. To activate BIM application, the evaluation system that quantitatively assess usability of BIM needs to be developed. This study aims to suggest a methodology that evaluates the usability quantitatively according to introduction and operation of BIM by construction companies. Accordingly, this study analyzes applicability of 4D CAD by developing an evaluation index and its model with BSC(Balanced Score Card) for 4D CAD, which have high practical use among BIM techniques, and verifies the usability as the entire evaluation index of BIM. Therefore, it is expected that the developed assessment model will be utilized as the critical decision-making information in order to introduce related techniques by identifying the usability and operational issues of 4D CAD.
