In this paper, we proposed a blind watermarking algerian to use characteristics of a scalar quantizer which is the recommended in the JPEG2000 and JPEG. The proposed algorithm shifts a quantization index according to the value of each watermark bit to prevent losing the watermark information during the compression by quantization. Therefore, the watermark is embedded during the process of quantization, not an additional process for watermarking, and is adaptively applied as a assigned quantizer according application areas. Before embedding process, a LFSR(Linear feedback shift register) rearranged the watermark for the security of the watermark itself and in the embedding process, a LFSR is used to hide the watermarking positions. Therefore the embedded watermark can he extracted by only the owner who knows the initial value of LFSR without the original image. The visual recognizable pattern such as a binary image was used as the watermark. The experimental results showed that the proposed algerian satisfies the robustness and imperceptibility corresponding to the major requirement of watermarking. The results showed the largest error rate to be $5.7\%$ for attack. The experimental result which compares the proposed algorithm with the Mohamed algorithm showed that the proposed algorithm was better than it, exactly $4\~5$ times for the attacks of JPEG and JPEG2000.

In retrieving and analyzing digital map information using mouse or key strokes, it needs several times of repeated mouse operation for designating the range of study area. In this study, we proposed a voice activated map information retrieval system for eliminating such repetitions and we realized the system on the personal computer. The system was constructed in two ways - traditional OLE(object linking embedding) method and MFC(Microsoft fundamental class) method in controlling of window display for practical use. In the system performance evaluation, the retrieval data for digital map were consisted of 68 words uttered by 3 male persons which include attribute words and control words for Susung-gu area of Taegu city in a 1:5,000 map. As the results, we obtained the average 98.02% of recognition rate through on-line tests in the office environment and the operating speed of 5.39 seconds by OLE, 10.38 seconds by MFC. These results showed the possibility for practical use of information retrieval system using speech recognition in digital map.
Sleep apnea, a medical condition associated with a variety of complications, is generally monitored by standard sleep polysomnography, which is expensive and uncomfortable. To overcome these limitations, this study proposes an unconstrained wearable monitoring system with stretch-fiber sensors that integrate with the wearer's clothing. The system allows patients to undergo examinations in a familiar environment while minimizing the occurrence of skin allergies caused by adhesive tools. As smart clothing for adult males with sleep apnea, long-sleeved T-shirts embedding fibrous sensors were developed, enabling real-time monitoring of the patients' breathing rate, oxygen saturation, and airflow as sleep apnea diagnostic indicators. The gauge factor was measured as 20.3 in sample 4. The maximum breathing intake, measured during three large breaths, was 2048 ml. the oxygen saturation was measured before and during breath-holding. The oxygen saturation change was 69.45%, showing a minimum measurable oxygen saturation of 70%. After washing the garment, the gauge factor reduced only to 18.0, confirming the durability of the proposed system. The wearable sleep apnea monitoring smart clothes are readily available in the home and can measure three indicators of sleep apnea: respiration rate, breathing flow and oxygen saturation.

This paper presents scalable modeling of spiral inductors for RFIC design based on $0.13{\mu}m$ RF CMOS process. For scalable modeling, several inductor patterns are designed and fabricated with variations of width, number of turns and inner radius. Feeding structures are optimized for accurate de-embedding of pad effects. After measuring the S parameters of the fabricated patterns, double-$\pi$ equivalent circuit parameters are extracted for each device and their geometrical dependences are modeled as scalable functions. The inductor library provides two types of models including standard and symmetric inductors. Standard and symmetric inductors have the range of $0.12{\sim}10.7nH$ and $0.08{\sim}13.6nH$ respectively. The models are valid up to 30GHz or self-resonance frequency. Through this research, a scalable inductor library with an error rate below 10% is developed for $0.13{\mu}m$ RF CMOS process.

This paper proposes a robust multiple audio watermarking algorithm using improved QIM(quantization index modulation) with adaptive stepsize for different signal power and SVM(support vector machine) decoding model. The proposed algorithm embeds watermarks into both frequency magnitude response and frequency phase response using QIM. This multiple embedding method can achieve a complementary robustness. The SVM decoding model can improve detection rate when it is not sure whether the extracted data are the watermarks or not. To evaluate robustness, 11 attacks are employed. Consequently, the proposed algorithm outperforms previous multiple watermarking algorithm, which is identical to the proposed one but without SVM decoding model, in PSNR and BER. It is noticeable that the proposed algorithm achieves improvements of maximum PSNR 7dB and BER 10%.
This paper describes a multiple audio watermarking using Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) on frequency phase and magnitude response. Proposed embedding procedure is composed of two stage. At the first stage, the watermark is embedded on the frequency phase response using QIM. In the second stage, the watermark is embedded using adaptive QIM with the step-size that is adaptively determined using the maximum value of the frequency magnitude response of every frame. The watermark is extracted by calculating the Euclidean distance as the blind detection. The proposed method is robust against most of attacks of audio watermark benchmarking. For the Fourier attacks, the proposed method shows over 95% recovery rate.

We proposed a method for embedding coded binary data into EZW bitstreams and extracting embedded data from EZW bitstreams using the traditional EZW decoder. EZW coder have two passes. The first pass, the dominant pass have four symbols, P, N, IZ, ZTR. The second pass is sub-ordinary pass which specifies the value of symbol. In the proposed methods, we use ZTR symbol in the dominant pass. We embed watermark into ZTR symbol in the highest frequency band which original image is transferred by wavelet transform. The proposed digital watermarking method shows good properties for robustness in the low bit rate. Accordingly, based on the proposed digital watermarking, video and 3D image watermarking will become a new area for research in the near future.
In this paper, we propose a multi-site based earthquake event classification method using graph convolution networks. In the traditional earthquake event classification methods using deep learning, they used single-site observation to estimate seismic event class. However, to achieve robust and accurate earthquake event classification on the seismic observation network, the method using the information from the multi-site observations is needed, instead of using only single-site data. Firstly, our proposed model employs convolution neural networks to extract informative embedding features from the single-site observation. Secondly, graph convolution networks are used to integrate the features from several stations. To evaluate our model, we explore the model structure and the number of stations for ablation study. Finally, our multi-site based model outperforms up to 10 % accuracy and event recall rate compared to single-site based model.
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the opinions of Korean medical doctors on how to elucidate possible remedial measures for expanding the health insurance benefits coverage item of Korean medicine (KM). Methods: An online survey was conducted to all members who had registered e-mail address in the association of Korean medicine from 1 to 17 November, 2016. Statistical analysis was performed and odds ratio with 95% confidence interval were calculated by each subgroup. Results: A total of 743 members answered the questions and the response rate was 4.1%. The priorities for expanding health insurance benefits were as follows: thermographic imaging, Sasang constitution typing test, and pulse wave among examinations; pharamacopuncture, embedding acupuncture, and acupotomy among procedures; Chuna manual therapy, manual therapy for meridian muscle, and Daoyin exercise therapy among manual therapies; low-frequency electrical therapy, traction, paraffin bath, and light therapy among physical therapies; and aromatherapy, enema therapy, and color therapy among activities of KM. Conclusions: It should be covered by the national health insurance (NHI) of KM that thermographic imaging, pharmacoacupuncture, Chuna manual therapy, low-frequency electrical therapy, aromatherapy as a top priority. We also suggest that basic medical tests, such as blood, urine, or imaging, should be included in the coverage of the NHI of KM. It is necessary to review the expertise and public opinions about the plans and priorities for the conversion of the desired medical services to be covered by the NHI.
Since superconducting wires have no resistance, electromagnets based on the superconducting wires produce no resistive heating with DC current as long as the current does not exceed the critical current of the wire. However, unlike resistive wires, superconducting wires exhibit AC heat loss. Embedding fine superconducting filaments inside copper matrix can reduce this AC loss to an acceptable level and opens the way to AC-capable superconducting coils. Here, we introduce an easy and accurate method to measure AC heat loss from sample superconducting coils by measuring changes in the rate of gas helium outflow from the liquid helium dewar in which the sample coil is placed. This method provides accurate information on total heat loss of a superconducting coil without any size limit, as long as the coil can fit inside the liquid helium dewar. With this method, we have evaluated AC heat loss of two superconducting solenoids, a 180-turn solid NbTi wire with 0.127 mm diameter (NbTi coil) and a 100-turn filamented wire with 1.4 mm diameter where 7 NbTi filaments were embedded in a copper matrix with copper to NbTi ratio of 6.7:1 (NbTi-Cu coil). Both coils were wound on 15 mm-diameter G-10 epoxy tubes. The AC heat losses of the NbTi and NbTi-Cu coils were evaluated as $53{\pm}4.7\;{\mu}W/A^2Hzcm^3$ and $0.67{\pm}0.16\;{\mu}W/A^2Hzcm^3$, respectively.
