The Electropia system is a practical model based on up-to-date CALS/EC technologies to support major Korean Electronic Manufacturers to cooperate in designing, purchasing and marketing processes. With this system, they could develop common parts, enhance their logistics and procurement capability, and provide more convenience to customers in their buying processes. This system is expected to raise the productivity and reduce material and marketing cost, which will essentially help to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean Electronic Industries.

In this paper, a high-voltage generator with several mA draw output currents using LTPS-TFT technology is proposed. The new generator can be efficiently boosted about +18V output voltages with 5mA draw output currents and power efficiency ${\eta}$ is around 84% under the conditions of +5V power-supply voltage and 250kHz frequency.

Based on the risk factor evaluation for the file format, this paper defines the procedures for presenting the long-term preservation plan for that format and the technical information registry necessary for building the system. This is a procedure to perform a risk assessment for the format, evaluate the risk, and select a long-term preservation strategy based on the information registered in the registry and information on the external signature and internal signature of the electronic record. We also reviewed the criteria for selecting appropriate long-term preservation strategies in the process and provided the criteria for adopting each detailed strategy of migration and emulation, which are long-term preservation strategies. And we implemented this process as a long-term preservation decision support system. This system can be used to provide guidelines for the maintenance, management, service and long-term preservation of information resources of electronic records in public institutions such as National Archives of Korea and Libraries.

This paper presents the circuit design and implementation of a HomePNA (Home Phoneline Network Alliance) 1M8 PHY transceiver for specification ver1.1. This paper describes a physical medium interface, an Ethernet MAC controller unit interface, and a management interface of the HomePNA transceiver. The designed HomePNA transceiver can support any specifications having more than 32Mbits/sec(maximum in HomePNA ver2.0) transmission rate by changing physical medium interface, because Ethernet MAC controller unit interface has been designed by using MII.

This paper presents the load balance of Mobile IP in wireless systems. Mobile IP can support wireless users with continuous network connections while changing locations. If a failure occurs in a mobility agent, the wireless users located in the coverage area of the fault mobility agent will lose their network connections. To tolerate the failure of mobility agents, this paper proposes the method of an efficient approach to reduce severe overload.

Electronic document management system is tool, based on the document life cycle concept, for structured management of various documents within an organization. In this paper, we address a development process of electronic document management system based on pure JAVA and CORBA. We have developed a electronic document management system which can support a variety of platform in heterogeneous distributed environment. EDMS can serve as an integration platform for industries that require handling of massive document and data such as construction and engineering, automobile, shipbuilding industries. Using the developed system, users can access documents in the system through an internet brower, and also add or modify existing document.

The purpose of this study is to investigate factors which can lead small buyers to participate in a Reverse Aggregation Electronic Market (RAEM). Five factors including search, selection, price, delivery, and Internet literacy were selected as possible factors which are expected to influence small buyers' participation in a RAEM. This paper focused on a RAEM of the Korean automotive industry in which the third party aggregator formed a group of small automobile repair shops (ARS) and amassed buying power for them by building a buyer' oriented electronic market (EM). Survey data were collected from small ARS in South Korea. The results of the empirical analysis indicated that fast delivery and support for Internet illiteracy are potential incentives that could influence buyers' decisions to join a RAEM.

The application of Internet-technologies to support inter-business transactions and relationships (also termed business-to-business, B2B, electronic commerce) has recently received tremendous attention. Recognizing the importance of the Internet as a powerful business tool, many companies including public organization such as KEPCO(Korea Electronic Power Corporation) have moved quickly to take advantage of electronic commerce. This study explores the impact of Internet-based technology on the procurement function, howe-procurement is helping organizations to enhance their competitiveness and the challenges to its adoption. The study also presents the findings from a survey conducted to gain insight into the adoption of e-procurement by KEPCO. Specifically, it seeks to uncover the prevalence of and extent to which public organization is adopting e-procurement, the benefits reaped and the barriers encountered in the course of implementation.

We propose new buffer management scheme for GFR service through FIFO queuing discipline. Proposed scheme can provide minimum bandwidth guarantees for GFR VCs as well as improve the fairness among the competing GFR VCs on a single FIFO queue. From simulation results, we demonstrate the proposed scheme fulfills the requirements of GFR service as well as improves the TCP throughput.

For the past several years, many countries have passed or have recommended legislation making it illegal to use in-hand mobile phones while driving and several manufacturers have released car kit solutions enabling hands-free operation of the mobile phone. But an automobile environment can pose extremely harsh physical conditions impacting audio quality, safety, and reliability. This article introduced a Car Kits that provided a total entertainment and telematics solution, which support all current features within the constraints of low power consumption, form factor, price, ease-of-use, manufacture ability, testability and high total quality.
