A Study on Taxation Issues in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래관련 조세문제 연구)

  • Electronic commerce creates serious problems for tax administration because of difficulties associated with the identification of traders, coding of trade activities and so on. The core issue with respect to resolving tax-related problems in electronic commerce is first, the identification of individual transactions through internet and their contents as well as traders. Secondly, it is the ability of tax authorities to secure effectively such data and information as identifying taxpayers, taxable amount and tax evasion on time. The tax authorities are studying the way to resolve tax evasion associated with electronic commerce by using payment system. Above of all, it is imperative to establish a systematic international cooperation in collecting value added taxes for electronic commerce. In order to enhance the effectiveness of tax system, the authorities of different nations should make joint efforts to collect taxes by exchanging such information as identification and registration of business as well as details of transactions among nations of production and consumption.

Bonding Property and Reliability for Press-fit Interconnection (Press-fit 단자 접합특성 및 신뢰성)

  • Soldering technology has been used in electronic industry for a long time. However, due to solder fatigue characteristics, automotive electronics are searching the semi-permanent interconnection technology such as press-fit method. Press fit interconnection is a joining technology that mechanically inserts a press fit metal terminal into a through hole in a board, and induces a strong bonding by closely contacting the inner surface joining of the through hole by plastic deformation of press-fit terminal. In this paper, the bonding properties of press-fit interconnection are investigated with PCB hole size and surface finishes. In order to compare interconnection reliability between the press fit and soldering, the change in resistance of the press-fit and soldering joints was observed during thermal shock test. After thermal cycling, the failure modes are investigated to reveal the degradation mechanism both press-fit and soldering technology.

  • In the electronics industry, a lot of research and development is being conducted on electronic component supply, component alignment and insertion, and automation of soldering on the back side of the PCB for automatic PCB assembly. Additionally, as the use of electronic components increases in the automotive component field, there is a growing need to automate the alignment and insertion of components with leads such as transistors, coils, and fuses on PCB. In response to these demands, the types of PCB and parts used have been more various, and as this industrial trend, the quantity and placement of automation equipment that supplies, aligns, inserts, and solders components has become important in PCB manufacturing plants. It is also necessary to reduce the pre-setting time before using each automation equipment. In this study, we propose a method in which a vision system recognizes the type of component and simultaneously corrects alignment errors during the process of aligning and inserting various types of electronic components. The proposed method is effective in manufacturing various types of PCBs by minimizing the amount of automatic equipment inserted after alignment with the component supply device and omitting the preset process depending on the type of component supplied. Also the advantage of the proposed method is that the structure of the existing automatic insertion machine can be easily modified and utilized without major changes.

Thin Film Growth and Evaluation Method for Conventional Co-Cr Based Perpendicular Magnetic Recording Media: Problems and New Solutions

  • We proposed a novel method to evaluate the magnetic properties of the initial layer and the columnar structure separately for CoCr-based perpendicular recording media. We show that the thickness of the initial layer and the intrinsic magnetocrystalline anisotropy of columnar structure can be quantitatively evaluated using the plotted product of perpendicular anisotropy to magnetic film thickness versus magnetic film thickness ($K_{u{\bot}}^{ex{p.}}$ $\times$ d$_{mag.}$ vs. d$_{mag.}$ plot). Based on the analyses, it is found that: (1) compared with CoCrPtTa media, CoCrPtB media have relatively thin initial layer, and have fine grains with homogeneous columnar structure with c-plane crystallographic orientation; (2) CoCrPtB media can be grown epitaxially on Ru or CoCr/C intermediate layer, and as the result, the magnetic properties of the media within thin thickness region of d$_{mag.}$ $\leq$ 20 nm is significantly improved; (3) the key issue of material investigation for CoCr-based perpendicular recording media will be focused on how to fabricate c-plane-oriented columnar grains well isolated with nonmagnetic substance in epitaxial-growth media, while maintaining the thermal stability of the media.

A Study of Mobile and Internet Banking Service: Applying for IS Success Model

  • Understanding success factors in electronic banking is important to helping banks succeed. In this study, we extend DeLone and McLean's IS success model to the electronic banking by adding trust as a success variable. We tested the extended model by comparing internet banking and mobile banking in Indonesia. Using a structural equation modelling approach. We found that system quality had positive impacts on perceived usefulness and end-user satisfaction for both internet banking and mobile banking. The development of e-banking (internet banking and mobile banking) in Indonesia is in its initial stage. Finally, although we tested for the common method bias to relieve concern, further research may use multiple methods when collecting the data. This study investigated the role of each dimension of IS success in the electronic banking environment. While the original IS success model emphasizes individual and organizational impacts, we have argued that trust is an important indicator of IS impact on an individual socially in the banking industry. The contribution of our study is two-fold. Conceptually, the study is the first to extend the IS success model to the e-banking context. We provide an extension of the updated IS success model by adding trust as an outcome variable in the research model.

  • The area of business applications in the internet are extended enormously in result of fast development of computing and communication technologies, increase of internet use, and use of intranet/extranet in enterprise information system. In recent days network computing technologies have been developed rapidly and the extended use of Internet applications for enterprises such as intranet/extarnet in and between enterprises has been increased enormously. Therefore the business in the future will be executed by Electronic Commerce based on Business to Business(B2B). <중 략) This paper introduce the design and implementation of the data sharing support system that can be accessed data transparently by the users of participated enterprises in the integrated data environment supporting B2B Electronic Commerce. The system uses Java/CORBA technology in Web environment, relational and object-oriented database system, Object Query Language (OQL) to process the queries of the file information.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a size information providing model which is easy recognition and utilization for customer. This study also implemented web page to apply the size-informational model. Web page implemented using Apache Web Server and JAVA client-side scripting. Research result on the actual condition of fashion electronic commerce, most of the firms are used the old named same with period of 1980. On the same named-code, they are used different sizing systems by firms or items. Size interval is used 2~5 cm, different by firms. In the size information, is provided only named-code(55, 66 etc.) or garment size, and is confusing whether the marked is body size or garment size. Many of the marked size information were wrong. The sizing system of KS K5001(2009) is not used well. These problems are increased a lose customer and firm by return, exchange, mending-cost, stock, etc. Therefore, the problems should be improved by providing correct and detailed information of size and garment, as well as standardization of sizing systems based on KS K5001.

An Empirical Study on User Acceptance of Micro e-Payment Systems : System Features, Transaction Cost, and Provider (소액 전자결제시스템 수용의지에 관한 실증연구 : 시스템 특성, 거래비용과 제공업체를 중심으로)

  • This paper analyzes the main factors affecting user selection of a small-sum electronic payment system using survey data of 396 users. Several findings emerge. First, users consider three pillars and eight factors in adopting a new system : system features(stability, security, and flexibility), transaction cost(payment commission and settlement period), and financial capability of provider(stability of financial structure, risk management capability, and funding capability). Second, the stability of the financial structure of the system provider is the most important factor to user acceptance of a new e-payment system. Users tend to consider uncertainty risk more seriously than transaction cost. This reflects the reality that electronic payment system service industry has not fully fledged yet. Third, some moderating effects exist according to payment methods and business usages. As for payment methods, speedy settlement cycle for wired/wireless phone payment, system stability for credit card and account transfer payment, and security for advance payment means are crucial factors. As for business usages, the stability of financial structure for online game content, system stability for music and video content, proxy payment commission for e-learning content, flexibility of the payment system for digital adult content, and security for public services are decisive ones.

  • The diurnal range of temperature in korea is increasing. We know that the environment has deteriorated through report about railway damage and economic loss caused by climate. In these conditions, Monitoring device for railway must operate to support the operations and maintenance. Therefore, In this paper, COM-based monitoring device implemented using Industrial-Extended electronic components and made, We tested compliance about temperature environment of actual railway. We verified through testing about cold and dry heat of monitoring device. Used components in this product will be able to utilize the development of the railway industry of electronics.

  • Electronic commerce includes the tasks that support the buying and selling of goods and services, and interactions among those tasks. Electronic commerce enables companies to close stores, reduce inventory requirements, and distribute products over the internet. Electronic commerce can simplify communication and change relationships The expanding global e-marketplace has triggered an evolution with powerful implications. The introduction of interactive media and the online environment has made real-time, customized one-to-one advertising, marketing and commerce possible. I-marketing is the most rapidly growing channel being explored today. Users of this expanding medium include a range of service providers, publishers, marketers of music, s/w, other products that cross an increasing number of industry lines. Thus, the opportunities for e-business marketing strategy, and new businesses based on interactivity and sophisticated database technology are vast. This study explores the e-business marketing strategy of digital age. Strategic e-marketing can harness the power of today's technology to propel a company of any size farther into the worldwide market than ay any other time in history, increasing potential profits and productivity.
