  • To find causal factors and improvement plans of organizational commitment of public servants in urban health centers, a hypothetical causal model, which included 2 endogenous variables(organizational commitment & organizational satisfaction) and 15 exogenous variables, was constructed. Exogenous variables consisted of individual factors (sex, age, education, job-grade, and annual salary), psychological variables(pride for organization, extrinsic motivation, intrinsic motivation and support of supervisor) ad structural variables(formalization, centralization, communication, job-conflict, job-decision, and workload). In the hypothetical causal model, organizational commitment was supposed to be effect variable, and organizational satisfaction was presumed to be intervening variable to mediate between organizational commitment and exogenous variables. For data collection, cross-sectional self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted to 1,295 public servants from 32 urban health centers nationwide. The survey responses were from 934, 72.1% of subjects. But 756 responses(58.4%) were analyzed because of excluding ones with missing values. The hypothetical causal model was fitted by covariance structural analysis with maximum likelihood method. Main results were as follows: (1) The fitted causal model accounted for 33 and 55 percent of total variance of organizational commitment and organizational satisfaction of public servants, respectively. (2) In order of effect size, pride for organization, supervisor support, communication, extrinsic motivation and centralization had an indirect effect effect on organizational commitment through organizational satisfaction. However, the effect of centralization was negative. (3) Pride for organiztion, intrinsic motivation, organizational satisfaction, job-conflict, supervisor support, communication, age, centralization, annual salar and extrinsic motivation had indirect or direct effects on organizational commitment in order of effect size. Among them, effects of job-conflict and centraldization were negative. In conclusion, these results suggested that organizational commitment of public servants in urban health centers could be enhanced by pride for organization, intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, prevention of job-conflict and excess centralization, supervisor support and active communication. Especially, pride for organization and intrinsic motivation were expected to play the most important role.

  • Recently, organizations are increasing their investment to protect information resources from information security(IS) threats through the adoption of IS policies and technologies. However, IS incidents occur in a variety of ways, such as intrusions from outside the organization and exposure to the inside. Our study presented the negative effects of IS role stress on organizational insiders and suggested factors from the organizational and individual perspectives for mitigating IS role stress. We conducted a survey on employees of companies that introduced and applied IS policies to their work and tested the hypothesis using 329 samples. As a result, IS organization justice reduced IS role stress and strengthened IS positive psychological capital, thereby affecting the IS compliance intention of employees. Also, IS positive psychological capital moderated the relationship between IS stress and IS compliance intention. This study contributes to the achievement of internal IS goals by suggesting the conditions that affect the IS compliance behavior of employees in terms of the organizational environment and individual characteristics

And second, to examine how incivility in the organization will affect affective commitment. Third, the effect of conscientiousness on the relationship between workplace-incivility and affective commitment in the organization is examined. In this study, 234 domestic workers were surveyed and their hypotheses were verified for empirical study. This study revealed that organizational virtue and leader member exchange had negative effects on workplace-incivility, and organizational incivility also had negative effects on affective commitment. In addition, the relationship between workplace-incivility and affective commitment in the organization showed that the lower the degree of conscientiousness in personality, the stronger the negative effect of workplace-incivility on affective commitment. Therefore, this study suggests that empirical studies show causal relationship between workplace-incivility and affective commitment in the organization. • Responses from the information users on the information technology are very important considerations when majority of the companies are going to introduce information technology by way of computers. When new information technology is introduced, resistance from the information users are likely to be happen and if suitable management about this is not carried out, resistance from the users of information technology will be continued. It is needed for the companies to minimize user's resistance about the information technology to reduce the introduction cost of information technology and to elevate the degree of use. To reduce the resistance from the users about information technology, factors which affect the resistance of users should be analyzed first and it will be effective to control those factors later on. Therefore it will be meaningful for the successful management of information technology if several factors which affect the resistance of users about information technology are searched out and managed. The purpose of this study is to find various factors which affect the resistance of the individuals in the organization about information technology in the process of introducing information technology. The relationship between the factors and factors which affect indirectly to the information technology are the things which are supposed to be considered to the companies who are going to introduce information technology in the long run. Instead of decreasing the resistance directly, let individuals in the organization decreases the resistance by themselves is a more effective way and may have less side effects, in terms of controlling the members in the organization.

  • This article starts with a review of the organization characteristics and corporate education training program, especially in relation to the cyber education. In particular, we empirically analyzed the factors affecting the characteristics of education program (e.g., relatedness of the program contents, method of education and instructor's ability) and the organization characters (e.g., support of manager and coworker, education culture). Hence the main purpose of this article is to suggest an empirical model explaining how these factors affect the transfer of training and enterprise revitalization. Furthermore, we suggested an expanded model about cyber education training program, transfer of training, and corporate's facilitation. We founded that the contents and method of education significantly affect the transfer of training, while instructor's ability does not significantly affect. Supports from manager and coworkers, education culture, and transfer of training also affect the enteprize revitalization.

  • The research was conducted with the aim of determining effects of seedling age on the yield of four fine rice varieties viz., Kalizura, Tulshimala, BRRI (Bang-ladesh Rice Research Institute)-37 and BRRI-38. The seedling of different ages such as 15, 25, 35 and 45 days were transplanted on the same day maintaining $25cm{\times}15cm$ spacing. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The yield and yield contributing characters were influenced by seedling age, variety and their interaction. BRRI-38 gave the highest number of effective tillers $hill^{-1}$, panicle length, total spikelets $panicle^{-1}$, grains $panicle^{-1}$, 1000-grains weight and grain yield. Likewise, yield and yield contributing characters were the highest in 35 days old seedling. On the other hand, the variety (BRRI-38) with the same age as of seedlings 35 days old seedlings was found superior to other interactions, but, in the production of grains $panicle^{-1}$ and 1000-grains weight there was no significant effect in this interaction. From the findings it may be inferred that BRRI-38 with 35 days old seedlings produced the highest grain yield.

  • According to Klempa(1995), the fit between environmental factors of a company may have the impact on its BPC success. Under this background, this paper empirically examines the effects of the fit between the organizational culture and the organizational learning the success of BPC. Organizational cultures, organizational learning, as well as knowledge sharing are the dominant causes that have impact on the innovation characters of organization. Whether an organization has safety-oriented homogeneous culture or it has the change-oriented heterogeneous culture may have impact on its implementation of BPC. Also the implementation of BPC may be affected by whether an organizational learning type has adaptive-oriented learning is single loop or it has the innovative-oriented learning is double loop. Thus, we analyzed the effect of the fit between the organization's culture and organizational learning type on BPC success by using the survey data collected from the companies that have adopted BPC. The findings presented in this paper show that the organization having heterogeneous culture practicing double loop learning the improvement project resulted in the excellent BPC success. These findings provide the perceptive guidelines for managers of organizations contemplating the implementation of BPC project.
