Component-based Development (CBD) is gaining popularity as an effective reuse technology. Especially commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components are mainly for inter-organizational reuse, rather than intra-organizational reuse. One of the essential tasks in CBD is to reuse the right components that provide the functionality and interface required by component consumers. If candidate components provide a limited applicability and customizability, a component consumer cannot reuse the components in application development. To resolve this partial matching problem, we need smart connectors that fill the gap between candidate components and the specification of components required. Previous researches about smart connector describe only connector types to resolve mismatch problems. However, previous researches do not address the identification and design method to resolve the problems. In this paper, we suggest taxonomy of various mismatch problems to identify partial match problems between requirements of the application and components. We identify smart connector types and suggest a systematic process for designing smart connectors using the taxonomy. Therefore, components that have the problems can be used to develop applications.
Component-based Software development(CBSD) is widely used in various area due to its efficiency of time, cost and effort. In the embedded software which has high dependency of platform and can be developed by product family, the efficiency of CBSD is maximized by reuse. These embedded software has various limitations of the resources. Specially, the effective energy consumption is very important in the portable embedded software such as smart phone and tablet PC, because they are operated with limited energy source like a battery. Therefore, energy efficient problem became very important issue in the CBSD. In this paper, we identified characteristics and environment that influence energy consumption of components. Afterward, we defined a component specification language which is consisted to describe energy characteristics of the components. This supposed specification language can be utilized to energy efficient component search and selection.
This study was conducted to select cultivars and determine the harvest period suited for the availability of biological activities in unripen apple. To analyze effective the components in the apple (Malus domestica), three cultivars, 'Summerking', 'Hongro', 'Fuji' were harvested from 40~50 days after full bloom to harvest time. Soluble solid content increased gradually by ripening but titratable acidity decreased with ripening regardless of the cultivars. The total phenol content significantly reduced with ripening from May 30 to July 30 (p<0.05). Substantially, the total phenol content of 'Hongro' in May 30 was four times higher than that of 'Summerking' in the same period and ten times higher than that of 'Hongro' in August 30. The total flavonoid content reduced with ripening regardless of cultivars (p<0.05) and that of 'Hongro' in May 30 was significantly highest (p<0.05). The ascorbic acid content was the highest in 'Hongro' in May 30 (p<0.05). The contents of tannin and ursolic acid significantly reduced with ripening from May 30 to July 30 (p<0.05), while no significant difference was observed between Hogro and Fuji after July 30. Therefore, 'Hongro' harvested in May 30 was considered to be best in the utilization of the effective components of immature apple.

The study reported here is the Australian component of an international research project which seeks to identify student-reported convictions co-valued by them and their teachers during moments of effective mathematics learning. The 2 teachers and their 12 students in the 2 primary school classes associated effective moments of learning with 13 different values. No gender difference was apparent. Although the teachers planned their lessons together and were teaching similar topics, there were differences in what were co-valued. Of the 13 values, examples, sharing, resources, and multimodal representations were found to be commonly valued by students across the 'ability' groups, while the others related to particular 'ability' groups only.

This paper deals with the characteristics of potential rise and effective impulse impedance of deep-driven ground rods that are used in high resistivity soil or in confined places such as downtown. Also the effects of the impulse and fault currents on the deep-driven ground rods combined with different type grounding electrodes like as mesh grids and counterpoises are described. The $8/20{\mu}s$ impulse current and other wave currents with different rise times are injected into the test ground rod and the effective impedances are examined. The most effective way to obtain the fine transient impedance behaviors of deep-driven ground rods is to reduce the inductive component of grounding electrode systems combined with other ground electrodes.
The main objective of this study is to establish a population projection method based on the biregional cohort-component method and to apply it to population projections for Busan. Some drawbacks of using the net migration cohort-component method in a regional or local level population projection are demonstrated. A biregional cohort-component method, a variant of the interregional cohort-component method, is established as an alternative where in-migration and out-migration are separately considered and then are combined to produce a projection for the migration component. Predicated on the established method, population projections for Busan are undertaken for the period of 2005~2030 under three different scenarios. Considerably different projection results are obtained between the net migration and biregional methods; among others, the trend of population decline is more severe in the former than in the latter. An investigation of the temporal trend of the projected population shows that the proposed method is highly reasonable. In conclusion, the proposed method based on the biregional cohort-component method seems not only to be theoretically more robust than the net migration cohort-component method but also to be very effective in the real world application.
System developments by components are accomplished by creating new software based on independent components having respective function. Generally, component-based software developments are expected to obtain profits caused by reuse of software, such as improvement of quality, rapid development, and efficiency of maintenance. In a component-based system, the most important goal and also key to success is to identify and construct high quality components that may increase reusability. Therefore, it is necessary for component developers to understand strong and weak points of existing component development methodologies in the aspect of identification of component, and to select the most appropriate methodology for the system to be constructed. It is also necessary for component developers to develop a new methodology enabling effective identification of independent components through modification and/or complementation of existing methodologies. The modification and complementation needs comparison and analysis of various existing methodologies. Accordingly, the this paper is to provide explanation for some widely used methodologies representing the existing component-based software development methodologies such as RUP(Rational Unified Process) of Rational company[1,9], CBD96 of Computer Associates company[2,3], UNIFACE of Compuware company[5], and UML components methodology derived from extending of the component developing method of CBD96 by Cheesman and Daniels[4]. The this paper is also to point out respective problems of the representative existing methodologies. Furthermore, component identification methodologies are compared and analyzedon the whole through this paper.
Objective : Literary investigation of existing data was conducted to verify effects of Moschus and its herbal acupuncture, and determine quality management through component analysis. Results : Following results were obtained through literary investigation. 1. Deer musk (Moschus) is dried navel gland secretions of the adult male musk deer. 2. Moschus is known to be effective for treating various febrile diseases, to revive senses, heart and abdominal pain, complications from cerebral hemorrhage, angina, and others. 3. Single dosage of Moschus is between $0.03{\sim}0.1g$ and should not exceed 1g. Normally taken as powder or pill and may be used externally. 4. Moschus also has protective effects for the liver cells, and experiments revealed possible efficacies for hyperlipidemia, brain damage, hypertension, and etc. 5. For herbal acupuncture usage, Fel Ursi, Bezoar Bovis, and Moschus are used as a mixture (BUM), and it's known to be effective for protecting the liver and treating arthritis. 6. For component analysis of Moschus, aromatic matter 'muscone' should be used as a standard matter.

Fatigue design rules for welds in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessels Code are based on the use of Fatigue Strength Reduction Factors(FSRF) against a code specified fatigue design curve generated from smooth base metal specimens without the presence of welds. Similarly, stress intensification factors that are used in the ASME B3l.1 Piping Code are based on component S-N curves with a reference fatigue strength based on straight pipe girth welds. But the determination of either the FSRF or stress intensification factor requires extensive fatigue testing to take into account the stress concentration effects associated with various types of component geometry, weld configuration and loading conditions. As the fatigue behavior of welded joints is being better understood, it has been generally accepted that the difference in fatigue lives from one type of weld to another is dominated by the difference in stress concentration. However, general finite element procedures are currently not available for effective determination of such stress concentration effects. In this paper, a mesh-insensitive structural stress method is used to re-evaluate the S-N test data, and then more effective method is proposed for pressure vessel and piping fatigue design.
