We have developed a 2D axi-symmetric numerical model for an inductively coupled plasma system in order to analyze gas mixing effect through a narrow gap shower head. For frictional flow, holes of 0.5 mm diameter and 2 mm length are approximately modeled in 2D. Gas velocity distribution 10 mm below the shower head showed 2 times difference between the center and the edge at 10 mTorr. At 10 mm above the wafer, it was increased to 6 times difference due to the pumping duct effect. The model with a 5 mm height buffer region of a shower head showed reasonable behavior of Ar discharge. The density of Ar metastable showed additional peak inside the buffer region around the edge holes.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of couples' self-differentiation by marital satisfaction according to couple's gender. The participants of the present study were 728 couples who lived in Chonbuk province. The data were collected by self-administered questionnaire method. Self-differentiation scale was consisted of such factors as emotional reactivity, I-position, emotional cut-off and fusion with others. The results of this research were as follows: First, there was significant difference in the level of total self-differentiation between husbands and wives. Second, there was significant difference in the levels of marital conflict and of marital satisfaction to levels of self differentiation. Third, self differentiation in both husbands and wives had an direct effect on marital satisfaction and stability through marital conflict. Fourth, marital conflict in both husbands and wives had a direct effect on marital satisfaction.

A multipath mitigation method using the fault detection and isolation technique is proposed for the CDGPS. The base station is assumed to be immune to the effect of the multipath. With this reasonable assumption, the effect of multipath in moving station is mitigated. For that, the double difference measurement is produced, and then another additional difference between code pseudorange and acclumulated carrier phase is calculated. The test statistic is constituted with those differences. The hypothesis testing is applied to that test statistic. The proposed test statistic makes use of the effect of multipath in code pseudoranges and it does not use time differences. Therefore the detection ability for multipath is improved in most environments. However, the increased number of differences makes the measurement noises larger. The performance of the method is compared with that of the conventional parity space method with code pseudorange.

In this paper, we consider the effect of diffraction due to the finite-sized aperture and propose the new correction method of errors in measurements of attenuation coefficient owing to the diffraction effect. In the existing correction method, we obtained the attenuation coefficient after correct the spectrum at each depth. However, this paper obtain the attenuation coefficient using lg-spectral difference approach and then correct errors. As a proposed method is not correction for the spectrum at each depth but the difference spectrum, we reduce the calculation. Also the correction is performed through the total frequency range, the accurate attenuation coefficient in whole bandwidth is produced.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effects of smart learning in both general education and fisheries & marine education through meta-analysis. To find the effects size, we had collected 112 studies from graduation theses and journal articles. Followings are the results of the research: (a) Smart learning turns out to be more statistically effective comparing to traditional education. The total effect size of smart learning is .768 and the value of U3 is 61.50%. (b) There is no significant difference between general education and fisheries & marine education in the view of effect size. (c) There is a significant difference in subjects, type of publication, and size of members in experimental group. High school student group has the most effect size of smart learning.

This research investigated the effect of leadership on organizational effectiveness in the public hospital. As a result of multi-regression analysis based on the data of 384 employees in 5 public hospitals in Korea, transformational leadership positively affected organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Transformational leadership had a significantly negative effect on turnover intention. Transactional leadership had a significantly positive relationship with organizational commitment and job satisfaction. This study has means that was first analysed relationship between the leadership style and organizational effectiveness of public hospital in Korea. The difference that demographic variables have on organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and turnover intention examined. Variables like gender and type of occupation have a significant difference.

To investigate the effect of levels of dietary protein and age on bone metabolism 40% and 5% casein were fed to the rats of 2 & 13 months of age for 12 weeks. High protein groups showed higher bone weight and Ca content than low protein groups and urinary Ca loss was increased in high protein groups but the difference disappeared gradually. A significant increase in urinary hydroxyproline excretion was noted in high protein groups of both age. Another short term study was undertaken to study if the above effect was related with renal function or PTH. Extremely high and low protein diets(60%, 6%) were fed to the rats of different ages(6wks, 6mos.) for 2 weeks, Urinary Ca excretion was significantly increased in high protein groups of young and aged rats and GFR was increased as well. There was no difference in serum iPTH levels between low and high protein groups, but it was elevated in aged rats. Alkaline phosphatase activity was higher in young rats, reflecting faster bone formation. The observed hypercalciuria in high protein groups, especially in aged rats, seems to be related to higher GFR, and PTH dose not appear to be a major mediator.

Social capitals are getting more important for management in enterprises, especially in small and medium sized enterprises(SMEs). The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of social capitals on the performance of intellectual property. For the empirical analysis, survey data were collected from 138 companies in one industry cluster, 34 companies in the other one. The data were compared using regression analysis. The findings confirm a positive influence of the conceptive social capital on the performance of intellectual property while there are no effect of structural and relational social capitals on the performance. These are different from the past researches. In addition, there is no difference between industrial types such as IT, BT, and NT in terms of the effect of social capitals on the performance of intellectual property. Also there is no difference between the two industry clusters.

The effect of lateral intermolecular interactions among the adsorbate molecules has been incorporated into the theory of multilayer physical adsorption developed previously by the present authors within the frame of Bragg-Williams approximation and the resulting adsorption isotherm has been used to interpret the adsorption data of tetramethylsilane vapor on clean iron film which we failed to account for in our previous works. The result has shown that up to the point where the relative pressure is about 0.7 considerable improvement is obtained but beyond this point there still remains large difference between theoretical and experimental isotherm. Such difference is supposed to arise from the neglect of effect of vertical interaction between the adsorbate molecules and the adsorbent surface.

The 1995 tax reform in Korea has brought adjustment to the tax bracket, marginal tax rate, and tax deduction system which resulted in significant decrease in the income tax progressivity. In this paper we study the causal effect of the tax reform on male labor supply using difference-in-differences method. Using the data from Economic Active Population Survey (EAPS) and Daewoo Panel Data, we find about 1.5% increase in the hours worked of male wage workers.
