동영상 기반 학습 환경에서 머신러닝을 활용한 행동로그의 학업성취 예측 모형 탐색 (Exploration of Predictive Model for Learning Achievement of Behavior Log Using Machine Learning in Video-based Learning Environment)

  • 동영상 강의 중심의 온라인 학습 형태가 보편화 되고 지속적으로 증가됨에 따라 다양한 교육방법을 적용한 동영상 기반 학습 환경도 학습 효과성을 높이기 위해 변화, 발전하고 있다. 온라인 학습 환경에서의 교육 효과성 측정을 위해 학습자 로그 데이터가 대두되었으며, 학습자 맞춤형 학습 처방을 위해 로그 데이터의 다양한 분석 방법이 중요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 동영상 기반 학습 환경에서의 학습자 행동 데이터 분석, 머신러닝 기법에 따른 학업성취 예측을 실험을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 각 모델에서 공통적으로 동영상 탐색과 코멘트 작성과 같은 상호작용 행동, 학습자 주도적 학습 행동이 학업성취를 예측하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 동영상 학습 환경 설계에 있어 시사점을 제공하였다.

대학도서관 오리엔테이션 프로그램의 교육적 효율성 비교에 관한 연구 -강의, 슬라이드-테이프 및 비데오-테이프를 중심으로- (A Study on the Comparision over an Educational Effectiveness with the Orienting Methods by University Libraries -with an Emphasis on Lecture, Slide-Tape and Video-Tape-)

  • The purpose of this paper is to in vestigate a relative effectiveness of instruction among such three orienting methods as lecture, slide-tape and video-tape which the library of Duk Sung Women's University has applied for orienting the freshmen for the last three years. This research also carried out a sample survey by distributing uniform questinnaire to the three different groups of the students. Each group was oriented with lecture, slide-tape and Video-tape respectively. Finally, the empirical findings of this research are as follows: 1. All three orienting methods were useful for students to improve knowledge as to how to use the library, 2. There were a wide difference in effectiveness among three instructional methods, obviously, the slide-tape method was more effective in the orientation than the lecture method and, furthermore, the video-tape was more effective than the slide-tape one, Therefore, it seem safe to conclude that the media utilization effective in orientation program should be encouraged by the university libraries of Korea.

스마트폰을 이용한 대장내시경 장정결 동영상 교육의 효과 (Effects of Video Assisted Education Using Smartphone on Bowel Preparation for Colonoscopy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop video assisted education on bowel preparation for colonoscopy (VEBPC) and use a snartphone to evaluate effects of the VEBPC. Methods: Adult patients who were scheduled for colonoscopy were recruited from a university general hospital and randomly assigned to three groups. Group 1 (n=30) watched the video using a computer set in the endoscope consulting room. Group 2 (n=29) watched it using a smartphone, and group 3, the control group (n=29) received education with existing instructions at the reservation-reception desk. Participants were evaluated on knowledge on taking bowel preparation agents and diet, compliance on taking bowel preparation agents and diet, satisfaction with education, and actual level of bowel preparation. Results: Group 1 and 2 showed significantly (p<.001) higher scores for knowledge, compliance, and satisfaction compared to the control group. However, in post-hoc test analyses there were no significant differences in these variables between group 1 and 2. No significant difference was found in the actual level of bowel preparation among the three groups. Conclusion: Findings from this study show that VEBPC using smartphone is a better option than existing educational methods. However, replication studies are necessary to confirm these findings.

인터넷 환경에서 동영상 데이터베이스 시스템을 이용한 영어 학습 (Education of Spoken English by using internet video database systems)

  • 컴퓨터와 통신 기술의 발달로 인하여 인터넷은 정보와 지식의 습득을 도와주는 유용한 수단이 되었다. 최근에는 초고속 정보통신망의 출현으로 인하여 단시간 내에 세계 각 곳에 산재되어 있는 정보를 검색 및 전송할 수 있게 되어 인터넷의 교육적 가치가 더욱 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 인터넷을 교수학습에 활용할 수 있게 해주는 여러 가지 도구의 개발이 절실하게 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷환경에서 영어 학습을 위한 객체관계형 동영상데이터베이스 시스템을 설계하고 구현하고자 한다. 동영상 데이터베이스 관리 시스템을 이용하여 영어학습을 위한 동영상데이터베이스를 구축하고 이를 검색하는 기법을 제안한다. 또한 지금까지는 인트라넷과 같은 제한된 공간에서만 사용되던 동영상 데이터베이스를 인터넷에서도 활용할 수 있도록 하기 위한 도구를 개발한다. 이를 이용하면 인터넷상의 사용자가 영화장면과 같은 효과적인 영어학습 도구를 쉽게 찾을 수 있고 스트리밍 기술을 이용하여 실시간 전송 및 재생이 가능하다.

Development and Distribution of Deep Fake e-Learning Contents Videos Using Open-Source Tools

  • Purpose: Artificial intelligence is widely used, particularly in the popular neural network theory called Deep learning. The improvement of computing speed and capability expedited the progress of Deep learning applications. The application of Deep learning in education has various effects and possibilities in creating and managing educational content and services that can replace human cognitive activity. Among Deep learning, Deep fake technology is used to combine and synchronize human faces with voices. This paper will show how to develop e-Learning content videos using those technologies and open-source tools. Research design, data, and methodology: This paper proposes 4 step development process, which is presented step by step on the Google Collab environment with source codes. This technology can produce various video styles. The advantage of this technology is that the characters of the video can be extended to any historical figures, celebrities, or even movie heroes producing immersive videos. Results: Prototypes for each case are also designed, developed, presented, and shared on YouTube for each specific case development. Conclusions: The method and process of creating e-learning video contents from the image, video, and audio files using Deep fake open-source technology was successfully implemented.

가상현실을 이용한 육군 대공무기 교육효과에 관한 연구 (A Study of Effectiveness on Military Training of Army Anti-aircraft Weapon using Virtual Reality)

  • 본 연구는 육군 교육훈련 효과를 향상시키기 위해 실장비, 가상현실, 동영상을 이용한 교육효과를 비교하여 어떤 방식의 교육이 우수한지를 검증하는데 있다. 육군은 실전적 훈련환경을 구현하기 위해 많은 노력을 기울였지만 1) 도시화에 따른 훈련장 부지확보의 제한, 2) 민원제기에 따른 대민갈등 심화, 3) 국방예산 확보에 어려움으로 인해 실전적 훈련환경을 제공하는 것은 점차 어려워지고 있다. 가상현실을 활용하면 실제 전장을 간접적으로 체험하고 비용을 절감할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 특히, 위험하거나 고가의 무기체계의 경우에는 가상현실을 적용한 훈련이 더욱 요구된다. 본 논문은 가상현실이 실제 무기체계에 비해 얼마나 효과적인지 연구한다. 연구결과, 가상현실 교육은 실장비 교육보다 효과가 다소 낮지만 동영상 교육보다는 효과가 높았다. 앞으로 이번 연구결과를 바탕으로 가상현실 기반의 교육효과 분석을 위한 기초자료로 활용이 가능할 것이다.

Designing a Micro-Learning-Based Learning Environment and Its Impact on Website Designing Skills and Achievement Motivation Among Secondary School Students

  • The study aimed to elucidate how to design a learning environment on the premise of micro-learning (ML) and investigate its impact on website designing skills and achievement motivation among secondary school students. Adopting the experimental approach, data were collected through an achievement test, a product evaluation form, and a test to gauge motivation for achievement. The sample was divided into two experimental groups. Results revealed statistically significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the two groups that experienced ML, irrespective of the two modes of presenting the video in the pre-test and post-test, as for the test of websites design skills, product evaluation form, and achievement motivation test. Besides, there have been statistically significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the first experimental group that had exposure to ML using the split-video presentation style and the scores of the second experimental group that underwent ML using continuous video presentation style in the post cognitive test of website design and management skills in favor of the group that had segmented-video-presentation ML. Another salient finding is the nonexistence of significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the first experimental group that underwent segmented-video-presentation ML and the grades of the second experimental group that received ML with continuous video presentation style in the post-application of the product scorecard of websites designing skills and the motivation test. In light of these salient findings, the study recommended using ML in teaching computer courses at different educational stages in Saudi Arabia, training computer and information technology teachers to harness ML in their teaching and using ML in designing courses at all levels of education.

뇌혈관 조영술에 대한 동영상 교육 프로그램이 환자결과에 미치는 효과: 무작위대조군 전후 실험 설계 (Effects of a Video-based Education Program for Cerebral Angiography on Patients' Outcomes: A Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Purpose: We investigated the effects of a video-based education program for cerebral angiography on patients' state anxiety, uncertainty, nursing care satisfaction, and complications. Methods: The randomized experimental study included patients who underwent cerebral angiography at a university hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do between January 2023 and August 2023. Patients were assigned to the experimental group (n=50) and the control group (n=48). The program included video- and pamphlet-based education. The intervention included video-based education provided to the experimental group and conventional pamphlet-based education provided to the control group. Data were obtained pre-, post-, and 2-7 days post-intervention. Data were analyzed using the x2-test and the repeated measures analysis of variance test with the SPSS software, version 28.0. Results: The experimental group showed lower levels of state anxiety (x2=4.316, p=.038) and uncertainty (x2=3.974, p=.046) than the control group. However, we observed no significant intergroup differences in satisfaction with nursing care and complication rates. Conclusion: The results suggest that a video-based education program for cerebral angiography can effectively reduce state anxiety and uncertainty in patients undergoing cerebral angiography. Video-aided educational interventions can improve the quality of nursing care with regard to reducing state anxiety and uncertainty in patients who undergo cerebral angiography.

  • 국내 교육용 모바일 콘텐츠의 대부분이 영어 등의 외국어 학습용으로 치중되어 있으며, 이동통신사와 교육전문업체가 제휴하여 동영상 등과 같은 콘텐츠를 모바일 단말기에 제공하는 형태가 일반적이다. 최근에는 아이폰, 구글폰 등과 같은 다양한 종류의 스마트 폰의 출시에 따라 교육용 콘텐츠의 모바일 플랫폼이 변화되고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 외국어로서의 한국어 학습을 효과적으로 지원하기 위하여 한국어교육용 듣기 교육 콘텐츠를 설계한다. 세부적으로 스마트폰의 개방형 플랫폼인 구글의 안드로이드 OS를 기반으로 콘텐츠가 구현 및 운영될 수 있도록 세부 설계를 수행한다.

  • The processes of informatization of the modern educational space are inextricably linked with the active introduction of innovative information technologies, which diversify the forms of education and upbringing. The use of these technologies in education due to their specific properties significantly enhances the clarity of learning, emotional impact on students, helps to deepen interdisciplinary links, intensifies students' work, and improves the organization of educational activities. Innovative information technologies offer new opportunities for the use of text, audio, graphic, and video information in lessons, enriching the methodological possibilities of the lesson. Today, the use of these technologies is becoming an integral part of the study of any subject. Using multimedia presentations, publications, and websites created by students in the learning process, they can develop learning skills. According to researchers, there are many multimedia programs for working with a computer in a music lesson, namely: a music player, a program for singing karaoke, a music constructor, music encyclopedias, and training programs. The introduction of innovative information technologies in the system of music education allows expanding learning opportunities.
