  • In the period of great change in human society, a change in educational services is also necessary. Thus, the current research investigates a new model of educational services to prepare people to be successful in an era of service and the fourth industrial revolution. We analyzed all the educational service models from the first educational institution, The Academy, founded by Plato to one of the most innovative institutions, Minerva schools. Then, we designed both an educational institution model and an educational service model that will cultivate and educate prospective students to be multidimensional to fit to the new upcoming eras. Since the era of service in the 21st century is also the era of job creation, we designed models focused on developing the broad knowledge and practical skills need to solve the most complex issues of our time. A new model was designed based on the results of the survey of existing major programs, analysis of the demands of the new generation, competency requirements, and etc. The newly designed conceptual model was improved from study focusing on tools to study that focuses on intrinsic discipline and competence, nurturing dream and imagination. In order to realize the new educational service, we developed technical conditions and a methodology for improving educational service performance. In the future, it is necessary to deepen the study and carry out research on implementing new educational service. In addition, an empirical study of the performance of the new model will also be needed.

  • Through the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for non-face-to-face communication systems has surged, leading to an increased prevalence of virtual interactions across various domains, such as tasks, meetings, orders and deliveries, and even student education. Against this backdrop, interest in the metaverse platform has been on the rise, with metaverse services like Zepeto, Roblox, and Minecraft expanding beyond gaming to encompass educational fields as well. This study aims to identify authenticity factors influencing metaverse platform-based educational services and examine their impact. The authenticity components are defined as integrity, empathy, interactivity, presence, and uniqueness. The study investigates the effects of these authenticity components on both service value and service satisfaction. To achieve this, a survey involving 320 metaverse users was conducted, and the model was subjected to statistical validation. The findings of this research underscore that perceiving metaverse education services, still in the early stages of introduction, as authentic educational methods for learners positively influences satisfaction with the educational service. This study holds significance as it lays the theoretical groundwork for enhancing the authenticity of educational services in virtual space. It defines and proposes authenticity elements for customer satisfaction in metaverse educational services, which are still in their nascent stages. Moving forward, it is anticipated that various studies will be conducted to enhance the value of metaverse education services and achieve higher customer satisfaction as customer experiences evolve and deepen.

Methods: Participants were 71 general nurses and 71 preceptor nurses working at comprehensive nursing care service units of G University hospital in I City. The level of educational satisfaction of general nurses and occupational stress of preceptor nurses were measured and compared. The differences in educational satisfaction and occupational stress before and after the education program were verified by paired t-test and one-way ANOVA using SPSS/WIN 27.0 statistical program. Differences before and after the education program according to the general characteristics were analyzed with repeated measure analysis of variance after Sapiro-Wilks normality test, and post-hoc analysis was conducted using Scheffétest. Results: It was inferred that there was a significant difference (t=-9.32, p<.001) in the educational satisfaction of general nurses, with an average of 3.72±0.77 before the education and 4.47±0.60 after the education. However, there was no significant difference in occupational stress in the preceptor nurses. Conclusion: It could be concluded that introduction of educational nurse practitioners at comprehensive nursing care service units has a positive effect on the educational satisfaction of general nurses. This result will serve as basic data to implement educational nurse practitioners for general nurses in all medical institutions as well as comprehensive nursing care service units.
