Experimental Studies on the Effects of Ferric Oxide (철액수(鐵液水)의 효능(效能)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(然究))

  • These studies were conducted about the effects of Ferric oxide in the aspect of the basic pharmacology through experimental animals with the investigation of its clinical effects on oriental medical literatures of Ferric oxide. The results were as follows: 1. The analgenic effects induced by acetic acid were significant. 2. The anticonvulsive effects induced by ECT unit were significant. 3. The sedative effects in Rotor rod method were significant. 4. The number of platelets was increased but not significantly. 5. Prothrombin time was decreased significantly. 6. Fibrinogen was increased but not significantly. 7. The degree of concentration of FDP was decreased significantly. According to the above results, it is considered that Ferric oxide retains effectiveness on the treatment of cerebral stroke.

  • The Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPRI) has developed performance demonstration programs for non-destructive testing personnel who analyze ECT(eddy current testing) data for steam generator tubing since 2001 The purpose of these performance demonstration programs is to ensure a uniform knowledge and skill level of data analysts and contribute to safe operation of nuclear power plants. Many changes have occurred in non-destructive testing of steam generator tubing such as inspection scope, plugging criteria and qualification requirements. According to the Notice 2004-13 revised by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the analyst for steam generator tubing shall be qualified as the qualified data analyst (QDA), and the site specific performance demonstration (SSPD) program shall be implemented. KEPRI developed these performance demonstration programs and they are being successfully implemented. The analyst's performance is expected to be improved by the implementation of these programs.

  • This study is focused on measuring levels of science and technology aspect of ten strategic items in korea to serve as a guidance for the government R&D policy-making, and provide appropriate information for promoting the national R&D programs. The survey of the precise technology level for study applies functional and technical parameters. Functional parameters are used for measuring technology level of the specification and performance of emerging items such as 256M DRAM, TFT-LCD ect. in the present and / or near future; technical parameters, the element / core technologies on emerging items. The study suggests that the result of the survey should be applied for strategic technology planning to narrow the technology gap and draw the criteria for resource allocation in national R&D programs.

Classification Performance Improvement of Steam Generator Tube Defects in Nuclear Power Plant Using Bagging Method (Bagging 방법을 이용한 원전SG 세관 결함패턴 분류성능 향상기법)

  • For defect characterization in steam generator tubes in nuclear power plant, artificial neural network has been extensively used to classify defect types. In this paper, we study the effectiveness of Bagging for improving the performance of neural network for the classification of tube defects. Bagging is a method that combines outputs of many neural networks that were trained separately with different training data set. By varying the number of neurons in the hidden layer, we carry out computer simulations in order to compare the classification performance of bagging neural network and single neural network. From the experiments, we found that the performance of bagging neural network is superior to the average performance of single neural network in most cases.

  • 본 논문에서는 원자력 발전소의 SG세관 검사를 위한 배열와전류프로브의 와전류탐상 특성을 해석하였다. 신호해석을 위해 원자력발전소 SG 세관의 내부 및 외부결함을 모델링하였으며, 결함의 깊이는 세관 두께의 40[%]로 하였다. 해석방법은 3차원 유한요소법을 이용하여 전자기 수치 해석을 수행하였다. 두 종류 결함의 수치해석 비교 결과 내부결함의 신호가 외부결함 신호에 비해 크게 발생되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 또한 획득한 신호를 ASME 표준 시험편을 이용한 배열와전류 프로브의 와전류탐상 실험신호와 비교하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 원전설비검사를 위한 배열와전류프로브 신호의 특성해석에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

  • 열교환기(Heat Exchanger)는 원전 운영에 핵심적인 설비이다. 따라서 열교환기 전열관의 건전성 유무를 판단키 위해 정기적으로 비파괴검사의 일종인 와전류검사(ECT, Eddy Current Testing)를 수행하고 있다. 이러한 와전류검사 공정은 크게 3가지로 분류할 수 있다. 첫 번째는 전열관 상태검사를 위한 신호데이터 취득공정이고, 두 번째는 취득된 신호를 판독하여 전열관의 건전성 여부를 진단하는 평가공정, 마지막으로 평가공정에서 발생하는 방대한 데이터를 토대로 추이분석 자료를 제공할 수 있는 공정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 세 번째 공정에서 필요한 열교환기 Tubesheet를 사용자 정의에 따라 자동으로 구현할 수 있는 기능을 정의하고, 평가공정에서 발생한 데이터를 직접 Tubesheet상에 Mapping 처리하여 시각적으로 전열관 상태를 확인할 수 있는 프로그램 구현방법을 제시한다.

Evolution of Solidification Structures of Al-Si Alloys in a Vertical Centrifugal Casting (Al-Si합금의 수직원심주조시 응고조직의 형성)

  • Al-Si alloys were solidified in a rotating cylindrical mold by a vertical centrifugal casting process. Under a certain casting condition, there are four distinct zones such as the chill zone, the primary fine columnar zone, the equiaxed zone, and the secondary coarse columnar zone from the mold wall. The columnar-equiaxed transition (CET) and the equiaxed-columnar transition (ECT) were measured as functions of solute content, flow rate (mold velocity), pouring temperature and mold temperature. Within the critical value of solute content, as the flow rate increases, the columnar-equiaxed transition were found, but not the equiaxed-columnar transition. The aspect ratio of the primary columnar zone was more affected by the solute content than the flow rate. However the aspect ratio of the equiaxed zone was more affected by the flow rate than the solute content. The aspect ratio of the secondary columnar zone was affected by both the flow rate and the solute content.

  • This paper is concerned with the development of tree-search algorithm for the exact solution to the vehicle problem (VRP), where set of vehicles of known capacity based at depot, have to be routed in order to supply customers with known requirements. When is required is to design routes, so that the total cost (i. e. total route length or time duration, ect.) is minimized. For obtianing the exact solution, the most important factors are the value of bound and branching strategy. Using the bound based on with bound ascent procedures from subgradient and state-space ascents, the incorporation of bounds into tree search algorithm to solve the problem is shown. Computational results of the corresponding algorithm show that VRPs with up to 40 customers can be solved optimally with this algorithm.

  • Applications of composite materials in various engineering fields have been extended significantly. For being useful composite materials, we could modify the rigidity and strength characteristics of composite material according to structures and material direction. In this study, CFRP, which has been widely used in space leisure and general structural applications due to the weight, elasticity coefficient, high fatigue strength and lower thermal transformation ect, was selected. As the CFRP is an anisotropic material whose mechanical properties change with its stacking sequence or angle, special attention was given to the effects of the fiber orientation angle on the bending characteristics of CFRP fiat and CFEP square members. It's different on the each result of strength and rigidity of CFRP flat and CFRP square members.

  • Until 1960 water pollution was caused by virus but now in according to industrial develop cent it has been continued environmental pollution by surfactant heavy metal, and hazardous chemical substance erst.. It is possible to Prevent contamination by virus owing to development of antibiotic but not to dissolve basely health effect by hazardous chemical substances because it takes very long time, about 5-40 years, average 20 years, in appearing a disease after exposure by then To maintain human life for 75 years, it need 55 ton of water. In the experiment of Public Health Institute, Tokyo, they reported that over 200 chemical substances can be detected in case of human being to drink tap water of Tokyo(1989) continuously. In our country, elevation of life style and development of industry result in increase of water use and overappreciation of pesticides in farm land a(sects drinking water quality. We estimated analytical item of drinking water hygienically by dividing into 5 groups such as physical effect item health hazardous inorganic item and health hazardous organic item ect. based on hygienic purpose.
