Recently, ebXML and Web Services are emerging as the XML-based electronic business frameworks. To provide a set of registry services which users or applications can store and search the business information, ebXML and Web Services use ebXML registry and UDDI registry, respectively. They use the different registries each other, but there are something that similiar to the structure and functions of both of registries. In this paper, we analyze the similarity of ebXML Registry Information Model(RIM) and UDDI data structure, and construct the mapping information. So, we design and implement the UDDI Service Middleware which translates the request of UDDI registry service into the request of ebXML registry service using the algorithm. Consequently, we could use the ebXML registry like ebXML registry as well as UDDI registry without any changes in the ebXML registry itself so that we can not need to have both of registries for e-business.

OASIS의 ebXML 레지스트리는 e-비즈니스 컨텐츠 및 이에 대한 표준화된 메타-데이터를 안전하게 저장 및 관리하는 정보 시스템이다. ebXML 레지스트리 내의 e-비즈니스 정보에 대한 메타-데이터의 스키마는 OASIS 표준문서에 미리 정의되어 있으며, 이를 ebXML 레지스트리 정보모델(RIM: Registry information Model)이라 한다. 한편, 전자상거래 환경에서 시맨틱 정보 처리 기술을 도입하여 보다 효율적이고 원활한 상거래를 지원하기 위한 노력의 일환으로, 기존 ebXML 레지스트리에 온톨로지 기반의 시맨틱 정보를 관리 혹은 처리하는 기능을 추가하려는 연구에 많은 관심이 집중되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는, OWL 시맨틱 정보 구성자(semantic construct)로 표현된 온톨로지 데이터가 ebXML 레지스트리 내에 관리될 수 있도록 새로운 ebXML 레지스트리 정보 모델, 즉 시맨틱 정보 모델(SIM: Semantic Information Model)을 제시한다. 이를 기반으로 ebXML 레지스트리 내에서 온톨로지 정보의 추론을 이용한 지능형 정보 처리가 가능해진다. 본 논문에서는 온톨로지 데이터를 위한 새로운 ebXML 레지스트리 정보 모델을 제안하며, 아울러 온톨로지 정보 추론을 활용한 지식 처리의 예를 제시한다.

ebXML is a global electronic business standard that is sponsored by UN/CEFACT and OASIS. ebXML is an open XML-based infrastructure enabling the global use of electronic business information in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner by all parties. ebXML Registry provides a stable store where the business information submitted by partners is made persistent and a set of registry services that enable clients of the Registry to access them. These services are tied to the structures defined in ebXML Registry Information Model(ebRIM), so we need a way to process them according to underlying database systems. In this paper, we present the result of developing the ebXML Registry Server based on Relational Database Systems.

현재 ebXML과 웹 서비스가 기업간 전자상거래(B2B)에 있어서 두 축을 이루고 있으며 각각 ebXML 레지스트리와 UDDI를 이용하여 전자상거래에 필요한 정보를 저장 관리하고 있다. ebXML 레지스트리와 UDDI는 이질적인 시스템 구조물 갖고 있기 때문에 원하는 서비스를 검색하고자 할 경우. 각각의 레지스트리에 의존적인 방식으로 접근을 해야 하는 단점이 있다. 또한 이 두 레지스트리는 키워드 기반의 검색만을 지원하므로 검색의 지원범위에 한계가 있다. 이물 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 OWL-S를 이용하여 레지스트리 공통모델을 정의하고, 온톨로지를 구축하여 시멘틱 검색이 가능하도록 한다

ebXML은 UN/CEFACT와 OASIS가 주축으로 제정한 전자상거래 표준으로 XML 기반의 인프라를 제공하여 글로벌 e-비즈니스가 가능하도록 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 최근 여러 ebXML 레지스트리간의 Cooperation이 중요해지면서 2003년 6월에 제정된 ebXML RIM(Registry Information Model) 버전 2.5와 ebXML RS(Registry Service) 버전 2.5 스펙**에서는 Federation, Object Relocation, Object Replication을 포함하는 레지스트리 간의 Cooperation 기능과 더불어 Content-based 질의, Event Notification, Iterative 질의와 같은 기능들이 새로 추가되었다. 따라서. 본 논문에서는 ebXML 버전 3.0 레지스트리를 구현하기 위해서 ebXML 버전 3.0 레지스트리의 시스템 구조를 설계하였으며, 버전 3.0에서 가장 중요한 기능인 Federation을 효율적으로 관리하는 방안을 분석, 설계하고 사용자가 보낸 Federation에 대한 질의를 처리하기 위한 알고리즘을 설계하였다.

ebXML and Web Services provide UDDI and ebXML registry for storing and managing the business and Service information of companies, respectively. Recently, W3C have released the OWL(Web Ontology Language) to Recommendation, and OWL-S proposed to describe the semantics of Web Services using the OWL ontologies. In this paper, we compared the OWL-S with the registry information model(RIM) of ebXML and the data structure of UDDI, and directly connect ones, which that of ebXML similar to that of UDDI; we extend the structure of the OWL to connect the rests. Consequently, our system enables to construct the ontologies of services and discover their semantics by using the information stored in the registries, and tintegrate UDDI, ebXML registry and OWL-S registry. By using the extending OWL-S documents in our system, agents can utilize for the semantic matchmaking.

Interest in conformance and the issues related to conformance and interoperability testing in ebXML products are rapidly gaining momentum among standards developers, implementers, and users. The goal is to obtain implementations of the standard that correctly perform the functionality specified in the standard. Conformance testing helps to achieve correct implementation. In this paper, we design and implement the CPP(Collaboration Protocol Profile)/CPA(Collaboration Protocol Agreement) and registry for ebXML conformance and interoperability testing tools that observe the standard specification in conformity with ebXML Message Service v2.0, ebXML Registry Service v2.0 and ebXML CPP/A v2.0.

Nowadays, ebXML and Web Services are two major e-business frameworks, and ebXML Registry and UDDI play important roles in publishing and inquiring business partners' meta information. These two types of registries should be interoperated in order to interoperate two frameworks. In this paper we propose interoperation procedures for each case of interoperation, i.e. ebXML-based, WS-based, or Integrated Model-based Interoperation.

ebXML(Electronic Business XML) is a global eBusiness framework standard which provides solutions to interoperability problem between heterogeneous eBusiness systems. ebXML framework includes Business Process Specification, Core Components, Registry/Repository and Messaging Service as its major components. Based on this framework, ebXML business transactions are executed by exchanging appropriate business documents as specified in Business Process Specification. And required business documents are generated by assembling Core Components at the Business Process design time. In this paper, we present technical architecture of ebXML framework and Core Component technology, and then explain design and implementation issues of ebXML business document generation tool.

ebXML은 e비즈니스를 위한 글로벌 표준으로서 그 동안 기업간 협력의 가장 큰 장애물로 여겨졌던 정보 시스템의 이질성을 극복할 수 있는 대안을 제시하는 기술이다. ebXML에서는 전체적인 프레임워크를 구성하는 주요 요소로서 거래 절차를 기술하는 비즈니스 프로세스, 거래에 이용되는 공통의 용어와 그 의미를 정의하고 있는 핵심 컴포넌트, 거래에 필요한 정보를 저장하고 검색하는 레지스트리, 거래 문서의 전송을 위한 메시징 서비스 등을 정의하고 있다. 이러한 구조를 기반으로 ebXML에서의 거래 절차는 비즈니스 프로세스에서 요구하고 있는 다양한 비즈니스 문서의 교환에 의해서 수행되며, 이때 필요한 비즈니스 문서의 모델은 핵심 컴포넌트를 기반으로 저작된다. 본 고에서는 우선 ebXML의 기술 구조 전반에 대하여 살펴보고, ebXML 핵심 컴포넌트 및 관련 기술에 대하여 자세히 설명하기로 한다.
