Preliminary Study to Develop the Instrument of Oriental Medical Evaluation for Hwa-Byung (화병 한의 평가도구 개발을 위한 기초 연구)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to develop a standard instrument of oriental medical evaluation for hwa-byung. Methods : The advisor committee on this study was organized by 17 neuropsychiatry professors of oriental medical colleges. The items and structure of the instrument were quoted from the instrument of pattern identification for hwa-byung. We took consultation twice from the advisor committee and we also took additional advices by e-mail. Results : We discriminated between bian-zheng and su-zheng from the answers of the advisor committee. We got the mean weight of each symptom and sign from the answers of the advisor committee. We got the final weight from the combination of the ratio of bian-zheng to the number of all answers of the advisor committee and mean weight. Conclusions : The instrument of oriental medical evaluation for hwa-byung was developed through experts' discussion. If the validity and reliability of this instrument is confirmed through additional clinical trial, the instrument of oriental medical evaluation for hwa-byung is expected to be applied to the subsequent research.

Applying Gamification and Assessing its Effectiveness in a Tourism Context: Behavioural and Psychological Outcomes of the TripAdvisor's Gamification Users

  • Despite the increasing adoption of gamification and its huge potential in tourism, research in gamification is still limited. As preliminary findings show that the effectiveness of gamification depends on the context of its application and the players' use of the gamified app, this paper fills in these gaps: by exploring and analysing the application of gamification in a specific e-commerce tourism context; and assessing the gamification's effectiveness by measuring the players' gamification usage and the latter's behavioural and psychological outcomes. The gamified TripAdvisor website and its Facebook enabled gamification app are used as the specific context of the study. Findings from a survey conducted on TripAdvisor users provide useful practical and theoretical implications to gamification designers and researchers alike on how game mechanics can be designed for enhancing the users' motivation, flow, task involvement and engagement with the 'play' tasks, and so, increasing the gamification's effectiveness.

Enhancing Expertise as Math Academic Counselor : Self-study for Math Teacher (수학학습 상담 전문성 신장을 위한 자기연구)

  • This study focuses on enhancing expertise as a study advisor for mathematic teacher in field based on self-study method. By advising math study with students in school, the research was carried out 'process & content of mathematic study method advisement', 'process & content of the self-questioning by the math study adviser', and 'enhancing expertise as a math study counsellor by self-study method'. Overall process has been proceeded through preparation, experiment, result & analysis. Experiment has been done based on consultation modeling for academic high school which ran five times. During consultation, based on analysis & result, researcher has recorded 'self-questioning' report. This report is utilized for 'self-examination' for the researcher along the discussion with counselor for enhancing expertise as a study advisor. By above process, practitioner identifies each own's pros & cons as a mathematic study advisor and strengthens the skill while understanding the subject: student. by 'self-studying' method, advisor enhances its own expertise as a teacher with the achieving student and learns practical knowledge for a math study advisor.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causes of career problems, which are the biggest problems of Korean university students, and to solve them by using case studies of domestic and global universities, I would like to suggest a career advisor system model for college students. It is most important to collect advice and learning data to solve the career problems of college students by utilizing information technology such as data analysis and AI. Research has not been actively pursued because the university has very limited internal data to advise on career problems. In this paper, we study the data types and methods of college students' career advice, and propose a career advisor counseling system for college students.

  • The undergraduate structure based on flip learning should be a necessary course to cultivate value creation capability based on students' problem solving capability through the change of university education in the fourth industrial revolution era. Introduction and spread of Flipping Learning combining project-based learning with MOOC is requied. As the introduction and spread of AI-based learning consulting (E-Advisor), which is becoming increasingly advanced, the transition to "personalized education" that meets the 4th Industrial Revolution should be made.

Analysis of Investment Time for a Residential Photovoltaic Power System in China and Thailand Applying a Real Option Model and SAM Data (Real Option 모형과 SAM데이터를 활용한 중국과 태국의 주거용 태양광 투자 시점 분석)

  • This paper provides economic analysis for a residential photovoltaic (PV) power system of 5 districts in China and Thailand, using SAM (System Advisor Model) data. Unlike existing literature, the analysis is conducted from the investment timing perspective, as applying to a real option model which can incorporate the cost uncertainty of the PV system and a resident's option to delay the investment. This study shows that the gap of optimal investment times between a real option model and a generally used net present value model ranges from about 6 to 14 years. Also, we found a contracting result for a particular district that, while the investment is appropriate according to the net present value model, it is more reasonable to delay the PV system investment in terms of the real option model.

  • The undergraduate structure based on flipped learning should be a necessary course to cultivate value creation capability based on students' problem solving capability through the change of university education in the fourth industrial revolution era. Flipped learning stimulated the learner's high order thinking and activates communication between the faculty-student and the students through the use of activity oriented teaching strategy. Introduction and spread of Flipping Learning combining project-based learning with MOOC is required. The professor should be able to apply net teaching and learning methods using flipping learning and active learning, and develop class contents reflecting new knowledge, information and technology. As the introduction and spread of AI-based(E-Advisor, chat bot et al) learning consulting, Which is becoming increasingly advanced, the transition to "personalized education" that meets the 4th Industrial Revolution should be made.
