대학 강의실 수업의 효과성 향상을 위한 H형 블렌디드 이러닝 적용 효과 분석 (Investigation of H model blended e-learning technique in enhanced effectiveness of class learning)

  • 본 연구는 블렌디드 이러닝이 대학의 강의실 위주의 수업에서 효과성을 향상시킬 수 있는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 먼저, 수업 사례를 분석하여 블렌디드 이러닝 운영방식으로 CbE(Class based E-learning)와 EbC(E-learning based Class) 방식을 도출하고, 수업구조로 Z형(Zigzag model)과 H형(Ladder model)을 정의하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 A대학의 "엑셀실무" 과목에 CbE 방식의 H형 블렌디드 이러닝을 운영하였다. 집단은 사이버강의 학습참여비율의 50%이상인 집단(그룹 1)과 그렇지 않은 집단(그룹 2)으로 나누고, 자료의 분석은 $x^2$-검정, t -검정으로 학업 성취도를 비교하였다. 사이버강의 학습참여비율과 합격여부의 관계를 규명하기 위해 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 검정 결과, 그룹 1이 학업 성취도에서 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과에서 사이버강의 학습참여비율은 합격여부를 예측하는 유의미한 변인으로 규명됨에 따라, 블렌디드 이러닝의 효과성이 확증되었다. 연구 결과, H형 블렌디드 이러닝은 강의실 수업의 단점을 보완하여 학업 성취도와 학습 만족도를 향상시키고, 학습자가 블렌디드 이러닝 수업 방식에 대해 긍정적인 인식을 갖도록 한 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 성공적으로 블렌디드 이러닝을 운영하기 위한 전략과 대학에서의 활성화 방안에 대해 제언하였다.

e-Learning 학습자 만족도 영향요인에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Factors Affecting e-Learning Learners Satisfaction)

  • As many universities introduce e-Learning classes as formal courses, numerous research topics relating to c-Learning such as, defining e-Learning, identifying factors affecting successful e-Learning deployment and examining relationships between the factors in e-Learning classes need to be focused on. However, most researches thai have been undertaken only consider the positive side or right functional dimension. This can result in e-Learning dissemination at universities being overlooked. In accordance with this indispensability, the negative factors, which are potentially inherent in e-Learning learner's perception and affect personnel e-Learning acceptance in university classes need 10 be acknowledged. The purpose of this study was to identify the negative factors affecting personnel e-Learning acceptance and to analyze the interrelation among the factors in this research model. The two independent variables avoidable convenience and reliant convenience, based on pilot test results, and self-efficacy and perceived playfulness, based on the relevant literature, are used to examine the research model. The research problem was tested with data collected from 446 respondents in 12 universities. This study developed and empirically analyzed a model representing the relationship by using the Structural Equation Model. The major findings of this study are, firstly, that the higher reliant convenience is negatively affecting the degree of system use and learner satisfaction, whereas avoidable convenience is only affecting the learner satisfaction. Secondly, the higher self-efficacy and stronger perceived playfulness affects the degree of system use as well as learner satisfaction. Finally, the degree of system use affects the learner satisfaction.

e-러닝을 위한 시멘틱웹 기반 지능형 에이전트 시스템 개발 (Development of Intelligent Agent Systems based on Semantic Web for e-Learning)

  • 본 연구는 적응형 학습을 제공하기 위한 새로운 에이전트 기반 e-러닝 시스템을 제안하였다. 시멘틱웹 환경에서 적응형 e-러닝은 온톨로지와 지능형 에이전트의 개발은 필수적이다. 특히 학습 콘텐트의 분석과 학습자 정보를 이용한 추론 엔진의 개발은 효과적인 e-러닝 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 시멘틱웹 환경에서 적응형 e-러닝 적용 모형을 설계하였고, e-러닝 학습에 대한 다양한 온톨로지를 개발하였다. 온톨로지는 학습 도메인과 학습자 그리고 인터페이스관점에서 분석하고 개발하였다. 그리고 에이전트의 추론을 위하여 지능형 환경을 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템을 통하여 시멘틱 웹 환경에서 새로운 e-러닝 시스템 모형을 제시하였다.

  • SK커뮤니케이션즈가 운영하는 온라인 교육 사이트 이투스(www.etoos.com)가 웹2.0 시대에 맞춰 수강생들의 참여 공간을 늘리고, 온라인을 통해 '학습'과 '재미'를 강화한 개방형 홈페이지로 2007년 초 전면 개편되는 등 기존의 e-Learning 콘텐츠 회사들이 웹2.0 기반의 비즈니스 모델을 통해 콘텐츠 차별화를 꾀하려는 움직임이 매우 활발하다. 본 연구에서는 웹2.0 시대를 맞은 e-Learning 콘텐츠의 현황을 대표적인 중고등 교육 e-Learning 콘텐츠를 중심으로 분석해 보고, 차세대 e-Learning의 발전 방향을 효과적인 피드백이 제공되는 학습자 중심의 콘텐츠 개발과 웹2.0의 본질에 입각한 집단 지성을 이끌어내는 데서 찾고, 'e-Learning 콘텐츠 내의 virtual 개인 과외 선생님 community 형성에 관한 프로젝트'를 제안해 본 것이다.

How E-learning Business for Teens Has Evolved in Korea: The Case of MegaStudy

  • Since MegaStudy started e-learning business for Korean high school students, the Korean e-learning industry began to expand and steadily gain attention. This paper focused on the analysis of the development of the Korean e-learning business for teens and the growth of MegaStudy. The three institutional mechanisms were used to examine the factors that aided the development of the business. The regulatory mechanism was the government policy to prevent the expansion of the offline private education sector, which greatly aided the growth of the e-learning business. The mimetic mechanism was the notion to mimic the characteristics of the Korean e-business initiatives. The normative mechanism involved the widespread social norm suggesting that every student should be given an equal opportunity of private education. This paper also examined the case of MegaStudy as a successful case of the e-learning companies. It analyzed the business model of MegaStudy, which is based on its advantage as the front-runner and its high-quality contents and services.

e-러닝 기반 경영과학 강의방식에 관한 사례연구 (Case Study: e-Learning for Management Sciences Course)

  • E-learning is a networked phenomenon allowing for instant revisions and distribution, and goes beyond training and instruction to the delivery of information and tools to improve performance. The proponents of e-learning emphasizes that students learn more effectively when they interact and are involved with other students participating in similar endeavors. The paper outlines the process of development and design of e-learning based Management Sciences course, with the aim of ensuring widespread use, in undergraduate business program. Experiences in introducing students to e-learning course are reported. Feedback from students has been very positive but also indicates the need for ongoing support and direction. In addition, a survey was used to identify the determinants of students' academic performance of Management Science, and PLS based model is developed to analyze the results. Statistical results concerning the hypothesized model are provided.

A Proposed Framework for Evaluating the Return on Investment of E-Learning Programs at Saudi Universities

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce a proposed Framework for Evaluating the Return on Investment (ROI) of E-Learning Programs at Saudi Universities. To achieve this goal, the descriptive analysis methodology is used to analyze the literature review about e-learning and its evaluation from different viewpoints, especially from the ROI-related perspective. As well as the literature reviews related to ROI and the methods of calculating it inside society institutes. This study suggests a conceptual framework for evaluating the ROI of E-Learning Programs at Saudi Universities. This framework is based on the merging process among the analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) model for designing e-learning programs, which gives detailed procedures for executing the program, several evaluating models for e-learning, and the Kirkpatrick model for evaluating the ROI of e-learning. It consists of seven stages (analysis, calculating the costs, design, development, implementation, calculation of the benefits, and calculation of the final ROI).

구조방정식을 이용한 국어 사이버 가정학습의 효과 관련 요인에 관한 연구 (Study on Various Factors Associated with the Effects of Cyber Home Study in Korean Language Education based on Structural Equation Model)

  • The objective of this research is to assess various factors affecting E-learning in Korean language education. In this research, we hypothesize that several factors such as absorption, motivation and tutors increase the educational effects of E-learning and ultimately affect learning attitude and satisfaction of students in E-learning. To discuss the hypothesis, we analyzed survey data of 300 students who were taking E-learning class of Korean language for three weeks in October 2007 based on Structural Equation Model. The result of our analysis shows that the factors such as absorption, motivation, tutors have positive effects on E-learning in Korean language education and positive influence on learning attitude and satisfaction on students as well.

상호작용성 구성요인이 e-learning 사이트 수용의도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Interactivity on user Acceptance of e-learning Site)

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the factors affecting user acceptance of e-learning site. To more precisely explain an individual's behavior of accepting e-learning site, Perceived Interactivity is divided into four components; User Control, Responsiveness, Personalization and Connectedness. This research investigates the causal relationship among four components and basic factors of TAM. This research uses structural equation modeling (SEM) to confirm the validity and analyzes the causal relationship of the suggested model. The results indicates strong support for the validity of proposed model with 54.8% of the variance in behavioral intention to e-learning site. The result finds that all the basic casuality of TAM are significant and most components of Perceived Interactivity are significant. However the path Connectedness to Perceived Ease of Use and User Control to Perceived Playfulness is not significant. Among components of Perceived Interactivity, Personalization is the strongest antecedent of TAM. Perceived Usefulness is the strongest antecedent of behavioral intention of e-learning site.

  • Recently, the growth of e-Learning systems and its related information technology has presented a unique challenge for both schools and industry. It would make an extremely phenomenal paradigm shift in the educational method and practice. Methods of assessing the quality of e-teaming services and contents are critical issue in both practice and research. Moreover, many researchers are interested in what qualify factors more affect to the Performance of e-Learning service. Nevertheless, service quality is a construct that is difficult to define and measure. e-Learning services are composed of many factors, and they are more complicated than the traditional education services because they we performed on the distance basis and the many platforms of IT infrastructure. The purposes of our research are to classify the e-Learning service dimension and identify their factors, to develop the measurement of the factors, and finally to test empirically their relationship between the service factors and e-Learning service performance. For the development of the service factors we considered SERVQUAL model and SERVPERF model which were developed in the service marketing area. The SERVQUAL model was more fitted to the e-Learning services than the latter. From that we derived several factors that fit to our research domain, ie, tangibles, access, reliability, credibility, security, responsiveness, assurance, empathy. We combined three factors of them(reliability, credibility, security) into a factor, system stability for the semantic simplicity, and divided responsiveness factor into system operator responsiveness and teacher responsiveness as the entity based dimension classification. In the e-Learning services research, Most researcher are mentioned the quality factors of contents, so we added to two contents quality factors, ie, contents production method and richness of contents itself. We examined the relationship between the service quality factors and e-Learning performance(student satisfaction and service reuse intention). As result three quality factors(contents production method, teacher responsiveness, empathy) significantly affected student satisfaction. To the other performance variable, ie, service reuse intention, the teacher related quality factors(such as teacher responsiveness, assurance, empathy) affected only. In conclusion, even in the on-line distance teaming, the teacher's role md earnestness is as important as ever.
