  • As the number of users of the Metaverse platform increases and virtual assets in the Metaverse can be converted into reality, various commercial trading activities are occurring within the Metaverse. Considering that users can earn profits through selling digital products and the profits can be converted into fiat money or virtual assets, the commerce activities within Metaverse are similar to existing e-commerce. However, due to the peculiarity of transactions performed in Metaverse platform, the current legal system is insufficient to apply to Metaverse commerce, and many researches have been conducted for this purpose. But, regulatory research on NFT(Non-Fungible Token) digital products that can be applied to all types of physical products is inadequate. Therefore, This study investigated the types of digital products commerce in Metaverse, investigated the issues of commerce transactions related to NFT digital products and the regulations related to them. Based on this, research results can be used as the development direction of NFT digital products trading and consideration of related policy to protect NFT digital products.

  • Under the premise that information privacy concerns can atrophy e-commerce by causing particular behaviors of Internet users, this study focused on exploring the causes of information privacy concerns, the related information privacy protective responses of Internet users, and measures for alleviating the information privacy concerns. This study is based on the 'principal-agent theory,' and established the following as factors that cause information privacy concerns of Internet users: perceived information non-transparency; perceived action uncertainty. Also, the information privacy concerns caused by the factors were established as the cause of information privacy protective responses of Internet users. Also, the concept of 'signaling' and 'incentive,' which were presented to solve the adverse selection and moral hazard issue in the host-agent theory, was introduced to establish the following as factors that alleviate information privacy concerns: trust; informativeness. Those factors were included in the research model to conduct an empirical analysis. The analysis has revealed that both the perceived information non-transparency (p<0.01) and perceived action uncertainty (p<0.01) as to websites had a significant impact on information privacy concerns. Also, information privacy concerns of Internet users (p<0.01) had a significant impact on their information privacy protective responses who strive to protect their personal information. In addition, when trust and informativeness, which were established as factors that can alleviate information privacy concerns, were empirically analyzed, trust and informativeness had the effect of alleviating information privacy concerns. Based on the findings, the following was confirmed: Boosting the trust of Internet users in websites and offering useful information related to personal data can play a key role in alleviating the information privacy concerns of Internet users.

  • This study investigates the differences between IT workers, who possess a high understanding of technology, and non-IT workers in the resistance to accepting an innovative service like mobile commerce. From a total of 317 survey respondents, the results of the study revealed that perceived risk, compatability, and complexity were the significant factors for resistance to mobile commerce for IT workers, while relative advantage, compatibility, and complexity were the factors of resistance for non-IT workers. Higher innovation resistance was shown to result in lower intention of use for both groups of mobile commerce users.

  • Purpose. Electronic intermediaries (e-intermediaries) are gaining significance in international marketing with the rapid development of e-commerce. The goal of this study is to explain empirically what leads to a higher use of this relatively new exportation alternative. Relying on a resource-based view as our research foundation, we focus on information technology (IT) and non-IT factors as possible determinants. Further, this study brings arguments offered by transaction cost theorists to explain the other non-IT determinants. Methodology/Approach. Data are collected from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the electronic industry in Korea and the U.S to ensure generalizability. Ordinary least square (OLS) regression is utilized to analyze the data. Findings. This study raises new issues regarding a relatively new type of exporting channel, e-intermediary. Exporting is regarded as the most appropriate strategy for SMEs in international commerce. A number of SMEs stay away from exporting due to limited resources or lack of knowledge regarding foreign markets. The findings in this study should help SMEs use e-intermediaries more widely by developing appropriate IT-related resources (IT-related human and relationship assets) and dealing with non-IT factors (international competence, environmental uncertainty, and duration of relationship) effectively. Originality/Value/Contribution. This study illustrates the significant role of e-intermediaries, which may help SMEs to penetrate the global market effectively. Finding relevant sources in the global e-marketplace is a challenge for non-experienced users like SMEs. This study proposes e-intermediaries as an effective alternative for them. Another contribution of this study is to show how the use of indirect exporting channels, e-intermediaries, decrease costs in exporting transactions. This study suggests an e-intermediary as a hybrid exporting channel to balance risk and profit.

  • As the volume of online e-commerce transactions increases, items diversify and the classification becomes complicated. E-commerce platforms that specialize in dealing only in one area are emerging, and the area is diversifying. Three problems were identified by researching the craft online e-commerce platform, one of the various types of professional e-commerce platforms. First of all, although craft materials are diversified and complex on the platform, the existing craft e-commerce system is fragmented in structure to categorize complex crafts, making it difficult to accurately present search results that meet various criteria. Second, although appearance is the main reason for purchasing artifacts, it is rare for users to categorize them according to appearance, so they have to judge and filter each work directly. Finally, the language entered when searching for artifacts by non-technical experts is not reflected in the language used to categorize artifacts in the taxonomic system, so the language used for searching is highly accurate. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to add and consider complex attributes in the field of technology to meet the search criteria. Properties to be added must include the main appearance in the search for artifacts. In addition, the government aims to develop a taxonomic system that can reflect non-experts' search languages in the search of works through artificial intelligence natural language processing technology.
