The e-catalog system consists of e-catalog database. e-catalog manager. and a web server, and provides e-catalog web service by displaying e-catalog documents that contain web 3D images. product specifications and manuals. Various web contents such as the 3D images of products, which offer basic viewpoints/movement handles and function simulations, product specifications, product manuals and product features, can be integrated into e-catalog documents in XML format through image manipulation and database connection by using the e-catalog manager tool. By reducing time and cost for publication and management of an e-catalog web service, the competitiveness of companies is expected to be intensified in the perspective of e-business activities.

기업과 기업(B2B)간 또는 기업과 소비자(B2C)간의 전자 상거래를 위하여 상품 및 서비스에 대한 정보를 전자적인 형태로 교환하기 위한 전자 문서를 e-Catalog라고 하며, 전자 상거래에 이용되는 e-Catalog는 무한한 인터넷 공간에서 효과적으로 기업의 상품 및 제품의 특성을 잘 표현할 수 있는 중요한 요소이다. 하지만 전자 상거래에 사용되고 있는 e-Catalog 시스템은 명확한 개념과 일관된 구성요소 등이 없고 서로 상이한 시스템을 구축하고 있으며 이로 인해 e-Catalog 정보를 교환 및 거래에 사용할 수 없는 단점이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이기종 시스템에서 상호 운용성을 증대시키기 위하여 XML Schema를 이용하여 통합적으로 상품 정보를 처리 할 수 있는 e-Catalog문서 구조를 정의하였다. 또한 XML로 정의된 e-Catalog 문서를 XSLT를 이용하여 다른 구조의 e-Catalog 문서로 변환하고 관리할 수 있는 통합형 e-Catalog 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

현재 다양한 형태의 B2B 전자 상거래가 진행되고 있으며 전자 상거래에 이용되는 e-Catalog는 무한한 인터넷 공간에서 효과적으로 기업의 상품 및 제품의 특성을 잘 표현할 수 있는 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 그러나 전자 상거래에 사용되고 있는 e-Catalog 시스템은 명확한 개념과 일관된 구성 요소 등이 없고 서로 상이한 시스템을 구축하고 있으며 이로 인해 e-Catalog 정보를 교환 및 거래에 사용할 수 없는 단점이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이기종 시스템에서 상호 운용성을 증대시키기 위하여 XML을 e-catalog의 표준 문서포맷으로 제안하고, XML schema를 이용하여 통합적으로 상품정보를 처리 할 수 있는 e-Catalog 문서 구조를 정의하였다. 또한 XML로 정의된 e-Catalog 문서를 이용하여 검색, 등록 서비스를 제공하는 e-Catalog 레지스트리 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

An e-catalog system provides whole product data and services by publishing newly updated information that connects PDM systems in an enterprise. With its capability to connect customers, suppliers, producers, distributors and downstream manufacturing activities, the e-catalog system can be applied to integrate e-business and provide immense business opportunities. In this paper we propose a framework focusing on constructing an efficient e-catalog system that can be used for online mass customization. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is validated with experimental results.

Product catalog information is the most important factor to make customers purchase the product for various B2B or B2C businesses provided on the Internet. As catalog information differs from company by company, it cannot provide common criteria standard to customers to make decisions. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a platform independent system, which integrates incompatible data from each company' catalogs and manages its database. This paper describes the integrated E-catalog system made up DB module, catalog management module, and interface module. This system allows customers to view standardized product catalog information from different companies with real -time updates, and also provides extensibility, flexibility, and interoperability for the effective E-Business management.

Recently, many companies and consumers are using Internet to sell and buy goods and manage their businesses. And for most companies, they have Electronic Commerce system and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. But the two systems manage separately and the data are not integrative. So it is hard to mangement the system alike and the costs may be higher than the system which has intergrated information. ebXML-based Electronic Catalog (e-Catalog) can provide intergrated information. In this paper, we took a manufacturing industry company for example. We planned to construct the e-Catalog System, analyze the products of the company as well as design e-Catalog system using ebXML to connect EC with ERPs.

현재 B2B 및 B2C 등 다양한 형태의 비즈니스가 진행되고 있으며 여기서 카탈로그 정보는 상품 구매 의사를 결정짓는 중요한 요소이다. 현재, 쇼핑몰과 경매사이트 등 전자상거래 관련 시스템을 구축하는 기업들이 증가하고 있으나 전자카탈로그의 명확한 개념과 일관된 구성요소 등이 없고 서로 상이한 내용, 포맷 등을 이용하여 개별적으로 구축하고 있다. 이처럼 현재 각 기업이 보유하고 있는 카탈로그 정보는 표준화되지 않은 상호 이질적인 구조를 이루고 있으며 이를 해결하기 위해 기존 데이터베이스 시스템과 연동한 플랫폼 독립적이고 이질적인 데이터를 통합할 수 있는 시스템의 구축이 절실히 요구된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Mall 시스템, 가상 카탈로그 시스템으로 구성된 E-Catalog 시스템을 개발하여 표준화되고 정형화된 카탈로그 체제를 구축하고 제공된 네트워크 구조의 검색 시스템을 통해 구매자에게 원하는 물품을 제공함으로써 CRT(Customer Relation Management)을 지원하는 효율적인 marketplace를 이루는데 방향을 두고자 한다.

E-commerce and business information systems are being introduced in most of enterprises with the development of internet recently. Meanwhile the introduction of enterprise portal concepts and the enterprise informatization provide a necessary premise for insuring a competitive power. Therefore, it became necessary to research on the project of reusing the data of e-commerce. In this paper, we make a domestic maker the subject and implement a XML based electronic catalog(e-catalog) system for electronic commerce(e-commerce) based on web. The implemented XML based e-catalog system can reduce time and expenses needed for making, keeping and distribution in paper catalog systems. It also can correct the data reuse problems in the e-catalog systems implemented by HTML. Exchanging and reusing data used in e-commerce is essential to the integration between business information systems and points to the enterprise portal.

본 논문에서는 통합적으로 상품 정보를 처리할 수 있는 전자 카탈로그 문서 구조를 정의하고 다양한 카탈로그 문서 포맷 및 구조를 지원하기 위하여 전자 카탈로그 표준 포맷을 XML(eXtensible Morkup Language)로 제안하였다. 또한, 거래에 참여하는 사용자가 정의된 전자 카탈로그 문서를 전자 상거래에 이용할 수 있도록 통합형 전자 카탈로그 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 시스템은 웹 서비스와의 연동을 통하여 웹 서비스가 가지고 있는 비즈니스 통합 및 상호 운용성 등 다양한 장점과 전자 카탈로그 문서에서 얻을 수 없는 유용한 정보들을 웹 서비스를 통하여 얻을 수 있도록 하였다.
