As the GPS(Global Positioning System) vulnerabilities were introduced, alternative systems to GPS backup have been studied for several years. Enhanced Loran(eLoran) as the worldwide ground-based supplementary radio navigation system was recommended as the cost effective alternative to GPS backup. Many efforts on adoption of eLoran as GPS backup have been presented. The US has been the leading role and announced that 70% enhancement for eLoran was established last year. However, the Obama administration cut off the eLoran budget on the fiscal year 2010 budget proposal while GAO's reports submitted that GPS service gap would be possible just some years later. Besides the US's condition, there are still many positive opinions on eLoran to GPS backup. This paper introduces the historical and technical aspects of eLoran and Korea's research topics.

This paper addresses the trends of e-Commerce systems. Most of the people around us might think that the e-Commerce system be saturated functionally and socially, and might be skeptic against the advancement of the e-Commerce system. But this paper analyzed the problems embedded in the current e-Commerce systems and compared those problems with IT trends to figure out possible functions in future e-Commerce systems.

e-Learning에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 e-Learning 표준화에 대한 다양한 연구들이 진행되어지고 있으며 ADL에서 주도하는 SCORM이 e-Learning의 실질적인 표준으로 자리잡고 있다. SCORM 메타데이터는 기존자료들에 대한 재사용성을 높이고 컨텐츠의 개발과 관리에 따른 시간과 비용의 감소를 가져온다. 기존의 E-Mail system에 메타데이터 생성기를 추가하여 E-Mail을 통해 전달받은 다양한 컨텐츠들을 재사용과 분류, 검색이 가능한 xml 파일로 바인딩 시키는 system을 제안하였다.

Existing e-learning systems not only require complex admission processes but also do not give stepwise education methods according to individual learners' characteristic. These circumstances cause learners to lose educational interest so that their educational efficiency decreases. In particular, the present e-learning systems do not provide educational approaches suitable for infant and elementary children. Under this system, the e-learning education for children does not proceed completely without guardians. To solve this problem, we design and implement an English e-learning system for elementary children based on friendly and comfortable user interfaces. For children, the proposed system reflects their age and individual interesting per each e-learning stage. This system supports both the Web application platform and smart phone application platform for various client requirements. The proposed system manages 3 classes as English learning content. Learners can experience their own English e-learning course in each class, which is compiled by current educational ability. In addition to the general functions in e-learning system, the proposed system develops content buffering algorithm to reduce data traffic in server.

The Internet, as a commercial tool, presented a new market that connects producers with consumers through the E-commerce. Now, E-commerce spreads over almost all industries through the Internet excluding some. This research indicates the reason why the E-commerce is not activated in agricultural Industry, which is less developed than other industries. And it suggests a good example of E-commerce on the agricultural products combining on and off line markets. In addition, data-mining technique is suggested to analyze whole information in system.

e-AIRS, an abbreviation of ‘e-Aerospace Integrated Research System’, is a virtual organization designed to support the aerospace engineering processes in the e-Science environment. As the first step toward a virtual aerospace engineering organization, the e-AIRS intends to give a full support to aerodynamic research processes. Currently, the e-AIRS can handle both the computational and experimental aerodynamic researches on the e-Science infrastructure. In detail, users can conduct the full CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) research processes, request wind tunnel experiments, perform the comparative analysis between computational and experimental resultants and finally collaborate with other researchers using the web portal. The current paper will describe those functions and the internal architecture of the e-AIRS system.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of vitamin E on antioxidative defense system of liver in acute cadmium poisoned rats. Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing 100$\pm$10gm were randomly assigned to one control and three cadmium injected groups. Cadmium injected groups were fed vitamin E free diet(OE-Cd group), 40mg vitamin E per kg diet(40E-Cd group) or 400 mg vitamin E per kg diet(400E-Cd group). Vitamin E level of normal group was 40mg per kg diet. Animals were injected intraperitoneally with 2.0mg Cd$^2$$\^$+//kg bw for 4 days after the rats were fed diets with three different levels of vitamin E for 2 and 4weeks. Activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione peroxidase(GSHPx) and glutathione S-transferase(GST) were decreased in cadmium injected groups but those were significantly improved by dietary vitamin I supplementations. Vitamin E contents reduced glutathione(GSH) in the live were decreased in cadmium injected groups, but we., not significantly different among three groups with different levels of vitamin E supplementations. Contents of liver thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) of 0E-Cd group were higher than those of 400E-Cd and 400E-Cd groups, but those were markedly alleviated according to vitamin E supplementations. These results indicate that cadmium poisoning in rats causes decreasing antioxidative defense system and increasing peroxidative damage in liver, however can be restored by vitamin E supplements. This study tests e-business performance difference of the inter group by strategy type through the cluster analysis, after confirming the linear relationship between the e-business strategy type and its performance. According to the result of the study the effect on the e-business performance reveals to differ by the e-business strategy type. That is to say, while the firm's information system performance, e-business realization and the inter group competition dominance are affected positively by the e-process strategy, web application strategy and customer attracting strategy. This confirms that the information system performance, the realization performance and the competition dominance are affected by e - business strategy type. The key factor leading to the success of e-business is the commitment of e-process strategy and web application strategy. For the case of the customer attracting strategy the result shows the importance of the strategy. In the cluster group analysis, the additional analysis, the effect is seen to be more powerful in the firm's information system performance, e - business realization and securing the competition advantage for the case of the multiple strategy than that of single one. Accordingly, the firm needs to adopt the multiple strategy suited for the characteristic of the firm rather than the single strategy.

This paper presents and analyzes field test results of E-VSB(Enhanced-VSB) system proposed by Zenith/ATl and adopted ATSC standard. In the field test, according to types of antennas we measured reception possibility, noise margin, ease of reception to analyze performance improvement of E-VSB system at each outdoor/indoor test point. Also, we verify a backward compatibility between E-VSB and conventional 8-VSB system and check selection of test point, and configuration of transmitter and test vehicle. By the field test results, E-VSB system did not only outperform over 8-VSB system at severe multipath environment such as indoor reception, but also verified backward compatibility with it.
