The purpose of this research is to investigate economic factors that determine characteristics of B2B e-Marketplaces. From a previous research work, we classify B2B e-Marketplaces into four forms: MRO Hubs, Catalogue Hubs, Yield Managers, and Exchanges. This classification is based upon "What businesses buy" and "How businesses buy." In an attempt to identify economic factors that determine e-Marketplace forms, we employ three economic factors: buyer/seller relationships, features of products traded, and characteristics of industries or markets. Through extensive literature reviews, we have selected six variables which can be used to explain reasons for different e-Marketplace forms: asset specificity and information asymmetry for the buyer/seller relationship, standardization and price variability for the product features, entry barrier and market volatility for the market characteristics. This research conducts six in-depth case studies to explain that "Why different forms of e-Marketplace emerge?" The research framework intends to provide link between e-Marketplace forms and six economic variables. Six case studies are based on interviews with CEO or team managers of e-Marketplace firms. This study has found six economic variables, explaining well reasons for different e-Marketplace forms. Research findings are summarized as propositions so that survey-type research can be conducted with a large number of samples in the future.
Purpose - The aim of the study is to analyze the impact of the European Union's (EU) focus on innovation and consumption, after the EU Eastern enlargement, on trade, investment, and technology cooperation patterns of Korea to formulate a pan-European marketing strategy, with a special emphasis on the mobile phone industry. Research design, data, and methodology - This study compares the intersection of the pivotal areas in the markets in the "post-new normal" era to identify outlets to commercialize development and innovation in this region. The EU would like to realize potential trade and investment opportunities with the Central European Economic Community (CEEC) from this enlargement. Results - The study analysis suggests a positive impact for innovation and consumption from the EU Eastern enlargement on trade, investment, and technology cooperation patterns of Korea to formulate a pan-European marketing strategy with a special emphasis on the mobile phone industry or motorcar e-strategy. Conclusions - Due to the evolving close interdependencies some hubs have emerged between regional, small markets and the central, larger ones such as Germany and France.
Neuronal connectivity determines brain function. Therefore, understanding the full map of brain connectivity with functional annotations is one of the most desirable but challenging tasks in science. Current methods to achieve this goal are limited by the resolution of imaging tools and the field of view. Macroscale imaging tools (e.g., magnetic resonance imaging, diffusion tensor images, and positron emission tomography) are suitable for large-volume analysis, and the resolution of these methodologies is being improved by developing hardware and software systems. Microscale tools (e.g., serial electron microscopy and array tomography), on the other hand, are evolving to efficiently stack small volumes to expand the dimension of analysis. The advent of mesoscale tools (e.g., tissue clearing and single plane ilumination microscopy super-resolution imaging) has greatly contributed to filling in the gaps between macroscale and microscale data. To achieve anatomical maps with gene expression and neural connection tags as multimodal information hubs, much work on information analysis and processing is yet required. Once images are obtained, digitized, and cumulated, these large amounts of information should be analyzed with information processing tools. With this in mind, post-imaging processing with the aid of many advanced information processing tools (e.g., artificial intelligence-based image processing) is set to explode in the near future, and with that, anatomic problems will be transformed into informatics problems.
Korean Government is increasingly focusing on the Northeast Asia Business and Logistics Hub strategy to create a competitive advantage. A key element of this strategy is creating or leveraging distribution and logistics hubs that act as centres for distribution in Northeast Asia. A Northeast Asian e-Hub Policy is required for business hub and logistics hub in the Northeastern Asia. An e-Hub is an integrated, sophisticated set of e-Biz, information and e-trade facilities and services that provides access to a marketplace and exchangee the e-trade data. To study the e-Hub policy, Pan Asian e-Commerce Alliance, Korea-Japan e-Trade Hub project, and ASEM e-Trade project are considered. E-trade via cyberspace may need new methods of dispute resolution to reduce transaction costs for small value-related disputes and to erect structures that work well across national boundaries. Voluntary Mediation Councils and cyber tribunals should be encouraged by governmental sectors to continue developing private sector mechanisms to resolve e-trade disputes. Government-sponsored online cross-border dispute resolution systems may be also be useful to complement these private sector approaches. E-trade in Northeast Asia results in disputes owing to the incompleteness of e-trade law in the countries. These disputes contain disputes regarding e-trade model, central title registry, authentication body. To resolve these disputes in the Northeast Asia, a variety of electronic alternative dispute resolution bodies must be organized under cooperation of Korea, Japan, China. This study deals with the e-ADR construction in the Northeast Asia to resolve the disputes in the e-trade and to activate the e-trade in the Northeast Asia.
Recently, enterprise systems require the necessity of integration for data sharing and cooperation. As a methodology for integration, Service-Oriented Architecture for service integration and Master Data for integration of data, which is used for service, were appeared. This paper suggests a method that operates BP(Business Process) efficiently. We make XMDR(eXtended Meta Data Registry) as knowledge-repository to support the BP and construct data hubs to operate it. XMDR manages MDM(Master Data Management) to integrate the data, resolves heterogeneity between the data and provides relationship to the business efficiently. This is composed of MDR(Meta Data Registry), ontology and BR(Business Relations). MDR describes relationship between meta data to solve structured heterogeneity. Ontology describes semantic heterogeneity and relationship between data. BR describes relationship between tasks. XMDR data hub supports the management of master data and interaction of different process effectively.
Compact routing intends to achieve good tradeoff between the routing path length and the memory overhead, and is recently considered as a main alternative to overcome the fundamental scaling problems of the Internet routing system. Plenty of studies have been conducted on compact routing, and quite a few universal compact routing schemes have been designed for arbitrary network topologies. However, it is generally believed that specialized compact routing schemes for peculiar network topologies can have better performance than universal ones. Studies on complex networks have uncovered that most real-world networks exhibit power-law degree distributions, i.e., a few nodes have very high degrees while many other nodes have low degrees. High-degree nodes play the crucial role of hubs in communication and inter-networking. Based on this fact, we propose two highest-degree landmark based compact routing schemes, namely HDLR and $HDLR^+$. Theoretical analysis on random power-law graphs shows that the two schemes can achieve better space-stretch trade-offs than previous compact routing schemes. Simulations conducted on random power-law graphs and real-world AS-level Internet graph validate the effectiveness of our schemes.

In order to examine the educational effects and future directions of unplugged activities, we conducted a systematic review of Korean journals and theses from 2007 to 2016. Three kinds of database were used for systematic review: RISS, KISS, and E-article, and were performed searches using options such as 'unplugged' and 'play-centered'. Based on the protocol selected in the framework of the systematic review, 37 articles were selected analyzed in terms of research status, research subjects, research methods, research hubs, study mechanisms, educational methods, and research effects. Unplugged activities were the most popular among elementary school students. Educational effects were found to have significant effects on academic achievement, problem solving ability, and logical thinking ability. In the affirmative domain, there was a significant effect on interest, curiosity, and motivation. Based on the results of the analysis, the characteristics and implications of Unplugged activities and present the direction of future education were discussed.

Cilia are highly specialized organelles that extend from the cell membrane and function as cellular signaling hubs. Thus, cilia formation and the trafficking of signaling molecules into cilia are essential cellular processes. TULP3 and Tubby (TUB) are members of the tubby-like protein (TULP) family that regulate the ciliary trafficking of G-protein coupled receptors, but the functions of the remaining TULPs (i.e., TULP1 and TULP2) remain unclear. Herein, we explore whether these four structurally similar TULPs share a molecular function in ciliary protein trafficking. We found that TULP3 and TUB, but not TULP1 or TULP2, can rescue the defective cilia formation observed in TULP3-knockout (KO) hTERT RPE-1 cells. TULP3 and TUB also fully rescue the defective ciliary localization of ARL13B, INPP5E, and GPR161 in TULP3 KO RPE-1 cells, while TULP1 and TULP2 only mediate partial rescues. Furthermore, loss of TULP3 results in abnormal IFT140 localization, which can be fully rescued by TUB and partially rescued by TULP1 and TULP2. TUB's capacity for binding IFT-A is essential for its role in cilia formation and ciliary protein trafficking in RPE-1 cells, whereas its capacity for PIP2 binding is required for proper cilia length and IFT140 localization. Finally, chimeric TULP1 containing the IFT-A binding domain of TULP3 fully rescues ciliary protein trafficking, but not cilia formation. Together, these two TULP domains play distinct roles in ciliary protein trafficking but are insufficient for cilia formation in RPE-1 cells. In addition, TULP1 and TULP2 play other unknown molecular roles that should be addressed in the future.

The problems for non-rotating of a disc cutter proceed from the faults in inner parts of the disc cutter such as the leak of hydraulic fluid, the intrusion of tunnel mucks and water, overloading, overheating, poor assembly and substandard material. The rotating of a disc cutter is an indicator to show that the inner parts of disc cutter is operable, although the rotational torque depends on the extent of the damage. Therefore, the key in the problems for non-rotating of disc cutter is to maintain that the tapered roller bearings are working properly. This study aims to investigate the inner parts disassembled from disc cutters applied to the field tests in order to help decision for reuse of the disc cutters. As results, surface finishing to remove the scratch on the load zone of the hubs is needed, with the intent to reuse a hub. And the investigation of lapping surface by optical microscope of floating seals and the contamination test of oil need to be performed for reuse of a disc cutter. Especially, the analysis results show that the floating seals play a key role in the normal operation of bearings. There is nothing significant to report in the rest parts such as bearing, shaft, seal retainers.
