Fuzzy Approach of Learning Evaluation Model in Intelligent E-Learning Systems (지능형 가상 학습 시스템에서 학습 평가 모델의 퍼지적 접근)

  • Recently, web-based E-learning systems have entered the spotlight by providing new learning environments that break down spatial and temporal limitations. The key to building the web-based E-learning system is in determining how to effectively use the system and to evaluate the degree of learning achieved by the students that use it. In traditional off-line learning systems, we can evaluate students by counting how many questions, designed to evaluate their learning achievement, he or she answers correctly within a predetermined time limit. But this method would make individualized learning, a strong point of E-learning systems, impossible because these systems provide same learning strategy to all students even though they achieve a different level of learning. Therefore, in this paper, I will find any relationships between given test answers using fuzzy implication theory, I call these fuzzy correlations, and then generate evaluation results that are reflected in those relationships. I will compare the differences between this evaluation method and a traditional evaluation method where a student takes a test to evaluate his or her learning achievement after some learning period. Finally, I will discuss how we can use these results in individualized learning.

  • SOAP is a protocol used for information exchange in distributed computing environment and SOAP defines mechanisms for message transferring between distributed system and remote procedure call/response process. This SOAP is able to be used independently on hardware platforms and operating systems and program languages because it uses only a text-based XML for protocol. Therefore ebXML that is a standard for E-Commerce adopts SOAP for message exchange. In this paper, we implement XML Hub System using SOAP and apply on the system e-Procurement. By this XML Hub System we can more easily exchange messages for B2B. Accordingly we can manage and integrate a lots of business partners.

  • A hybrid system is defined as a mixture of continuous systems and discrete event systems. This paper first proposes a framework for hybrid systems modeling, called Hybrid Discrete Event System Specification (HDEVS) formalism. It then presents a method for simulators interoperation in which a continuous system simulator and a discrete event simulator are executed together in a cooperative manner. The formalism can specify a hybrid system in a way that a continuos system and a discrete event system are separately modeled by their own specification formalisms with a support of well-defined interface. We call such interface an A/E converter for analog-to- event conversion and an E/A converter for event-to-analog conversion. Simulators interoperation is based on the concept of pre-simulation in which simulation time for a continuous simulator is advanced in accordance with a discrete event simulator.

  • 최근 대규모 애플리케이션의 효율적인 운영을 위한 컨테이너 기술의 도입이 급격하게 이루어지고 있으며, 이에 따라 컨테이너 환경의 보안을 향상하기 위한 여러 기술이 제안되고 있다. 특히 악성 컨테이너의 무분별한 시스템 콜 사용을 막기 위해 Seccomp 정책을 통한 접근 제어 기술을 제공하고 있지만, 현재 컨테이너가 사용하고 있는 Seccomp의 경우 시스템 콜 정책을 업데이트하기 위해서는 컨테이너를 재배포해야 한다는 한계점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 이를 해결하기 위해 eBPF와 LSM을사용하여 컨테이너 종료 없이 동적으로 시스템 콜 사용을 제한할 수 있는 KubeRosy를 제안한다.

  • Recommendation system is one way of implementing personalized service. The collaborative filtering is one of the major techniques that have been employed for recommendation systems. It has proven its effectiveness in the recommendation systems for such domain as motion picture or music. However, it has some limitations, i.e., sparsity and scalability. In this research, as one way of overcoming such limitations, we proposed the stepwise collaborative filtering method. To show the practicality of our proposed method, we designed and implemented a movie recommendation system which we shall call Step_CF, and its performance was evaluated using MovieLens data. The performance of Step_CF was better than that of Basic_CF that was implemented using the original collaborative filtering method.

  • Traffic performance in a microcellular system is much more affected by cell dwell time and channel holding time in each cell. Cell dwell time of a call is characterized by its mobility pattern, i.e., stochastic changes of moving speed and direction. Cell dwell time provides important information for other analyses on traffic performance such as channel holding time, handover rate, and the average number of handovers per call. In the next generation mobile communication system, the cell size is expected to be much smaller than that of current one to accommodate the increase of user demand and to achieve high bandwidth utilization. As the cell size gets small, traffic performance is much more affected by variable mobility of users, especially by that of pedestrians. In previous work, analytical models are based on simple probability models. They provide sufficient accuracy in a simple second-generation cellular system. However, the role of them is becoming invalid in a picocellular environment where there are rapid change of network traffic conditions and highly random mobility of pedestrians. Unlike in previous work, we propose an improved probability model evolved from so-called Random walk model in order to mathematically formulate variable mobility of pedestrians and analyze the traffic performance. With our model, we can figure out variable characteristics of pedestrian mobility with stochastic correlation. The above-mentioned traffic performance measures are analyzed using our model.

Design and Implementation of Integrated E-Coaching system Based on Synchronous and Asynchronous (동기/비동기 기반의 통합 E-코칭 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Until now, face to face coaching has been applied almost for completing the goal in various field. Face to face coaching is difficult always to reach each other anywhere, anytime due to the availability of internet and mobile devices. Recently, e-coaching is attempted to expend. But current e-coaching is supporting the secondary role for face to face coaching. E-coaching system has many benefits to use advancement technologies in internet. Therefore, the development of e-coaching system based on horizontal relationships between coach and coachee needs to communication anytime and anywhere in Internet. Usually previous online coaching systems have four types of interactions i.e. electronic mail, video chat, text chat, phone call. Most of the e-coaching approaches are easy to access and provide communication synchronous; video chat is an excellent visibility, whereas e-mail is asynchronous and document-centric. In this paper, we design and implement the integration e-coaching system based on synchronous and asynchronous. This system provides the asynchronous coaching offered by way of e-mail, and the synchronous coaching used P2P (Peer to Peer) video chat and text group chat. This system allows simultaneously asynchronous and synchronous coaching, and supports individual and group communication for periodical or informal coaching.

IFS DECISION MAKING PROCESSES TO DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF HEADACHE

  • We are dealing with the preliminary diagnosis from the information of headache interview chart. We quantify the qualitative information based on the interview chart by dual scaling. Prototype of fuzzy diagnostic sets and the neural linear regression methods are established with these quantified data, These new methods can be used to classify new patient's tone of diseases with certain degrees of belief and its concerned symptoms. We call these procedures as neural Fuzzy Differential Diagnosis of Headache (NFDDH-1). Also we investigate three measures to medical diagnosis, where relations between symptoms and diseases are described by intutionistic fuzzy set (IFS) data. Two measures are described by nin-max and max-min IFS operators, respectively. Another measure is the similarity degree, i.e., IFS distance between patient's symptoms and prototypes of diseases. We consider some reasonable criteria for three measures in order to determine the label of headache, We will establish hree measures in NFDDH-2 and combine two packages as NFDDH

Control of a cart system using genetic algorithm

  • So far many researches have studied to control a cart system with a pole on the top of itself (forwards we call it simply a cart system) which is movable only to the directions to which a cart moves, using neural networks and genetic algorithms. Especially which it wag solved by genetic algorithms, it was possible to control a cart system more robustly than ordinary methods using neural networks but it had problems too, i.e., the control time to be achieved was short and the processing time for it was long. However we could control a cart system using standard genetic algorithm longer than ordinary neural network methods (for example error backpropagation) and could see that robust control was possible. Computer simulation was performed through the personal computer and the results showed the possibility of real time control because the cpu time which was occupied by processes was relatively short.
