  • Safety and confidence of the communications network is the main purpose for the unmanned control systems, in terms of appling a satellite communications network to the water treatment and supply plant communication system. 전류 리플 저감을 위한 듀얼 인덕터 방식의 양방향 dc-to-dc 컨버터 (Bidirectional dc-to-dc Converter Employing Dual Inductor for Current Ripple Reduction)

  • This paper propose a bidirectional dc-to-dc converter employing dual inductor for current ripple reduction. Conventional bidirectional dc-to-dc converter uses a single inductor for two different modes; boost and buck; therefore it is difficult to satisfy the optimized inductance value for each mode. To improve this problem, the proposed converter adds two switches, a diode, and one inductor. By proper switching of the additional switch, the proposed converter operates with a inductor in boost mode, but it works with dual inductor in buck mode. Hence in both modes the proposed bidirectional converter can be operated with optimized inductance values. Most of all the optimized inductance in buck mode can reduce the current ripple and its effective value(rms), which are directly related to the temperature increase resulted in short lifetime of battery. To verify the validity of the proposed approach, we first analyzes the operation of the proposed converter theoretically, and implement computer-aided simulations and experiments using a prototype.

  • Ad hoc 네트워크는 고정된 기지국이나 기반네트워크가 없는 무선 네트워크이다. DUDMAC(dual -channel DMAC) 프로토콜에서, 제어 채널에서의 ORTS와 OCTS는 dearness 문제를 해결하고, 데이터 채널에서의 DDATA와 DACK는 방향성 안테나에 대한 효과적인 블로킹 알고리즘을 사용함으로써 공간 재사용을 향상시킨다. 본 논문에서는 DUDMAC 프로토콜에 전송전력을 제어하는 방식을 적용한 PCDUDMAC(power controlled DUDMAC)프로토콜을 제안한다. PCDUDMAC 프로토콜에서, 데이터 채널에서의 DATA와 DACK의 전력제어는 전송 전력 소모를 최소화하고, 공간 재사용을 증가시킨다. 제안하는 MAC 프로토콜의 성능은 퀄넷(QualNet) 버전 3.8 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 확인하였다.

A Novel IPT System Based on Dual Coupled Primary Tracks for High Power Applications

  • Generally, a single phase H-bridge converter feeding a single primary track is employed in conventional inductive power transfer systems. However, these systems may not be suitable for some high power applications due to the constraints of the semiconductor switches and the cost. To resolve this problem, a novel dual coupled primary tracks IPT system consisting of two high frequency resonant inverters feeding the tracks is presented in this paper. The primary tracks are wound around an E-shape ferrite core in parallel which enhances the magnetic flux around the tracks. The mutual inductance of the coupled tracks is utilized to achieve adjustable power sharing between the inverters by configuring the additional resonant capacitors. The total transfer power can be continuously regulated by altering the pulse width of the inverters' output voltage with the phase shift control approach. In addition, the system's efficiency and the control strategy are provided to analyze the characteristic of the proposed IPT system. An experimental setup with total power of 1.4kW is employed to verify the proposed system under power ratios of 1:1 and 1:2 with a transfer efficiency up to 88.7%. The results verify the performance of the proposed system.

A Novel Hitting Frequency Point Collision Avoidance Method for Wireless Dual-Channel Networks

  • In dual-channel networks (DCNs), all frequency hopping (FH) sequences used for data channels are chosen from the original FH sequence used for the control channel by shifting different initial phases. As the number of data channels increases, the hitting frequency point problem becomes considerably serious because DCNs is non-orthogonal synchronization network and FH sequences are non-orthogonal. The increasing severity of the hitting frequency point problem consequently reduces the resource utilization efficiency. To solve this problem, we propose a novel hitting frequency point collision avoidance method, which consists of a sequence-selection strategy called sliding correlation (SC) and a collision avoidance strategy called keeping silent on hitting frequency point (KSHF). SC is used to find the optimal phase-shifted FH sequence with the minimum number of hitting frequency points for a new data channel. The hitting frequency points and their locations in this optimal sequence are also derived for KSHF according to SC strategy. In KSHF, the transceivers transmit or receive symbol information not on the hitting frequency point, but on the next frequency point during the next FH period. Analytical and simulation results demonstrate that unlike the traditional method, the proposed method can effectively reduce the number of hitting frequency points and improve the efficiency of the code resource utilization.

모드 전환 제어 가능한 듀얼 모드 벅 변환기 (Dual Mode Buck Converter Capable of Changing Modes)

  • 본 논문에서는 휴대기기에 적합한 모드 전환 제어 가능한 듀얼 모드 벅 변환기를 제안한다. 기존의 모드 제어 회로는 부하의 변동이 급격하거나 천천히 변동하거나 둘 중 하나의 조건에서만 모드 전환이 이루어지는 문제점을 슬로우 클럭을 이용한 모드 제어 회로 기법으로 해결하였다. 그리고 PFM(Pulse Frequency Modulation) 모드에서 PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) 벅 변환기로 전환할 때에도 카운터를 사용하여 고부하를 감지할 수 있도록 하였으며 3비트의 디지털 신호로 20mA~90mA내에서 모드 전환 시점을 선택할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 이 회로는 BCDMOS 0.18um 2-poly 3-metal 공정으로 제작되었으며, 측정 결과 입력전압 3.7V, 출력전압 1.2V 부하 전류 10uA~500mA 범위에서 32mV 이하의 출력 전압 리플을 가지며 86%의 최대 전력 변환 효율을 나타내었다.

  • Twin clutch model enables the power-shifts as conventional planetary automatic transmission and eradicates the disadvantages of single clutch trans- mission. The automatic control of the dual clutches is a problem. Particularly to control the clutching component that engages when running in one direction of revolution and disengages when running the other direction, which exchange the torque smoothly during torque phase of the gearshifts on planetary-type automatic transmissions, seemed for quite a while hard to compensate through clutch control. Another problem is to skip gears during multiple gearshifts. However, the twin clutch gear control described in ["M Goetz, M C Levesley and D A Crolla. Dynamics and control of gearshifts on twin clutch transmissions, Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D: Journal of Automobile Engineering 2005"], a significant improvement in twin clutch gear control system is discussed. In this research our objective is to formally specify the twin clutch gear control system and verify it with the help of formal methods. Formal methods have a high potential to give correctness estimating techniques. We use UPPAAL for formal specification and verification. Our results show that the twin clutch gear control model partially fulfills its functional requirements.

드론 교육현장 이중화 제어 플랫폼 연구 (A Study on the Dual Control Platform for Drone Field Training)

  • 드론은 제4차 산업혁명의 개념과 ICT 융합 첨단기술을 응용한 드론에 대한 관심과 투자가 지속되고 있다. 드론 운항의 목적은 초기 군사용도에서 이제는 건설, 산림, 시설, 농업지원 등 다양한 산업의 활용으로 광범위하게 확산되고 있다. 이러한 산업에서 실제 드론을 운용할 수 있는 조종자 양성이 자격제도를 중심으로 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 조종자를 양성하기 위한 교육장소, 훈련장소, 교육환경, 교육방법 등을 포함한 상세한 기준이 모호하여 드론 교육현장에서 훈련교관의 구두 지시를 통한 교육이 지속되고 있는 상황이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 현장에서 반드시 필요한 공간감각의 질적 향상을 위하여 훈련교관이 조종자의 운항 드론에 직접적으로 개입하여 지도를 실행할 수 있는 이중화 제어 플랫폼에 대한 연구를 실행하였다.

  • A prototype integrated system and its theories for distributed SISO control structure synthesis of complete chemical plants is developed. The scope of this work includes control structure synthesis not only of simple units with unspecified control loops but also of the complex process at preliminary and basic design stage. Hierarchical approach and dual-decomposition strategy (that is multi-layer decomposition and multi-echelon decomposition) is applied to this system. Because automatic control structure synthesis of complex plants is a problem defined as a series of knowledge-intensive tasks within multiple spaces, the established methodology is complemented by not only techniques from knowledge-based expert systems but also shortcut and rigorous control theories. This system is used for education of control designers, process engineers, operators and students as well as for operability studying, in-line and on-line process control structure synthesis.

Variable Speed Drives of Induction Motor for Traction Application with Modified Sliding Mode Control

  • In this paper it is proposed an advanced modified sliding mode control of a rotor field oriented control of induction motor. The application of this unconventional control has very good results, such as disturbance rejection and nice dynamic properties. Stability can be guaranteed even in the worst situation. A conventional "sliding mode" controller is characterised by fast switching control signal, which causes the chattering of the drive system. To overcome this problem, a modified law is used, by introducing a hysteresis band and a continuous control, which modifies the conventional law. The control is accomplished with dual TMS320C44 floating-point digital signal processor. The validity of the proposed method was verified by experiment on the propulsion system simulator, used for the development of Korean High-Speed Railway Train(KHSRT).in(KHSRT).
