Resource reservation scheme is effective for better QoS guarantee to handover call for the next generation cellular systems where handover rate highly increases. However, resource reservation for handover call can incur negative impact on the new user admission. In this paper, we propose a random access based adaptive group-wise reservation to effectively reduce dropping rate of handover call, while protecting new local call. In the proposed scheme, target base station divides adaptively future handover users into groups based on the expected handover time, and then does group-wise reservation, where service allocation within each group is done on random access basis. Markov approach is also provided to analyze the performance of the proposed scheme. By computer simulation, it is shown that theoretical analysis on the performance is similar to the simulation results and the proposed reservation scheme outperforms the conventional scheme with respect to dropping probability of handover call.
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of microbial fertilizers on the yields of chard, chemical components of plant and soil, and the microbial floras. Six microbial fertilizers, MPK+Husk+Palma, Husk+palma, MPK+Compost, Compost, Bio livestock cattle system (BLCS) cattle dropping, and Tomi, were used. The yield of chard in six microbial fertilizer treatments was higher than that of control. The BLCS cattle dropping treatment showed the highest yield of chard among six microbial fertilizer treatments. Only one component, MgO in chard was increased with all treatments compared with control, Two components, K and Mg, in soil were increased with Tomi treatment. The number of total bacteria and bacillus was increased in soil that treated with Tomi, Husk+palma, and MPK+Husk+Palma. The number of actinomycetes and fungi was also increased with Tomi treatment. It appears that the microbial fertilizers increase the yield of chard by forming the useful microbial floras.
In this paper, we study the new packet dropping scheme using an active queue management algorithm. Active queue management mechanisms differ from the traditional drop tail mechanism in that in a drop tail queue packets are dropped when the buffer overflows, while in active queue management mechanisms, packets may be dropped early before congestion occurs, However, it still incurs high packet loss ratio when the buffer size is not large enough, By detecting congestion and notifying only a randomly selected fraction of connection, RED causes to the global synchronization and fairness problem. And also, it is the biggest problem that the network traffic characteristics need to be known in order to find the optimum average queue length, We propose a new efficient packet dropping method based on the active queue management for congestion control. The proposed scheme uses the per-flow rate and fair share rate estimates. To this end, we present the estimation algorithm to compute the flow arrival rate and the link fair rate, We shows the proposed method improves the network performance because the traffic generated can not cause rapid fluctuations in queue lengths which result in packet loss
In this paper, we propose a scheme for improving not only the utilization of frequency bands in the guard channel scheme but also the dropping rate of cognitive radio user in the wireless cognitive radio-based cellular network. The proposed scheme enables cognitive radio users to utilize the guard channel for servicing only handoff calls in normal times, but cognitive radio users must vacate the frequency channel when handoff call appearing. At this time our scheme ensures their seamless services for cognitive radio users, by predicting handoff call's appearance by MMOSPRED (Multi-Media One Step Prediction) method and then reserving the demanded channels for spectrum handoff calls. Our simulations show that our scheme performs better than other schemes; GCS(Guard Channel Scheme) and a scheme without prediction in terms of cognitive users call's dropping rate and resource utilization efficiency.
Although many researches on IDS (Intrusion Detection System) have been performed, the most of them are limited to the algorithm of detection software. However, even an IDS with superior algorithm can not detect intrusion, if it loses packets which nay have a clue of intrusions. In this paper, we suggest an efficient wav to improve the performance of IDS by reducing packet losses occurred due to hardware limitation and abundant processing overhead introduced by massive detection software itself. The reduction in packet losses is achieved by dropping hacking-free packets. The result shows that this decrease of packet losses leads an IDS to improve the detection rate of real attack.

The purpose of this research is to support decision making of emergency rescue system with GIS which selects landing point of emergency rescue for emergency situation on mountains and dropping point when landing is impossible. The area of research was limited to Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The results were divided into two values; landing point of helicopter on mountains and dropping point. Digital map, forest type map and forest soil map were utilized as fundamental data. Factors of landing point were slope, topographical characteristics, vegetation characteristics and area of helicopter landing point by helicopter data. And, for dropping point, slope and vegetation characteristics were divided as factors and GIS intersect function was utilized for the analysis. But, this research was conducted by excluding factor values of wind direction, wind velocity, etc. In the future, it's necessary to improve effectiveness of the analysis more by making a connection with Meteorological Agency DB.
Purpose: This experiment aims to provide the fundamental resources in developing a programme intended to prevent students from dropping out of their academics by promoting students to develop an optimistic psychological state, through analysis of the factors that influence students' commitment to their major. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was conducted from $19^{th}$ of November of the year 2018, till $1^{st}$ of December of the same year, with dental technology students located in W city as the subject. 261(93.2%) of the participants' responses were used for the final analysis. Results: A negative association between factors of commitment to major and factors of academic dropout decision were portrayed to be of statistical significance (p<.01), and factors of commitment to major that influence dropping out of their academics were shown to be that of 'autotelic experience' (p<.001) with a negative ( - ) relationship, and 'change in a sense of time' (p<.01) with a positive ( + ) relationship of statistical significance, while the explanatory power of the model was shown to be 33.6%. Conclusion: In order to prevent dental technology students from dropping out of their academics, following their entrance, To achieve this, the department must consider the implementation of, aside from subject matters of the major, other various extra-curricular programmes, and programmes in which the supervisor is consistently providing consultations that are tailored to each individual student.
Spinal cord contusion injury is one of the most serious nervous system disorders, characterized by high morbidity and disability. To mimic spinal cord contusion in humans, various animal models of spinal contusion injury have been developed. These models have been developed in rats, mice, and monkeys. However, most of these models are developed using rats. Two types of animal models, i.e. bilateral contusion injury and unilateral contusion injury models, are developed using either a weight drop method or impactor method. In the weight drop method, a specific weight or a rod, having a specific weight and diameter, is dropped from a specific height on to the exposed spinal cord. Low intensity injury is produced by dropping a 5 g weight from a height of 8 cm, moderate injury by dropping 10 g weight from a height of 12.5-25 mm, and high intensity injury by dropping a 25 g weight from a height of 50 mm. In the impactor method, injury is produced through an impactor by delivering a specific force to the exposed spinal cord area. Mild injury is produced by delivering $100{\pm}5kdyn$ of force, moderate injury by delivering $200{\pm}10kdyn$ of force, and severe injury by delivering $300{\pm}10kdyn$ of force. The contusion injury produces a significant development of locomotor dysfunction, which is generally evident from the $0-14^{th}$ day of surgery and is at its peak after the $28-56^{th}$ day. The present review discusses different animal models of spinal contusion injury.

The external store fitted to the aircraft may affect the flight characteristics and flight safety of the aircraft, which requires the analyses and testing on it. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze types of failures that can affect the flight safety of aircraft due to the installation of external stores, and to check the flight safety of aircraft through dropping tests of the external stores. After identifying the types of failures that could affect the flight safety of the aircraft, the criticality was calculated to analyze the effect on the flight safety of the aircraft. Four types of failures were selected: unintentional dropping, failure of dropping, unintentional main wing deployment, and release of tail wing restraint of the external store, which are considered to affect the flight safety of the aircraft due to the operation of the external store. As a result of the aircraft's flight safety analysis on the failure types, the criticality requirements were met. Based on this, after obtaining the airworthiness certification, the drop test was successfully performed to confirm the flight safety of the aircraft by mounting an external store on the aircraft. However, in addition to the four hazards carried out in this study, the real external stores of the military aircraft may have various factors affecting the flight safety of the aircraft, so further research will be needed.
The eye irritant test of lens washing agent, CLIWELL$^{TM}$ was conducted using Draize methods according to KFDA Guidelines. In addition, to test the potential toxicity of test articles, the ratio of inflammatory cells and non-inflammatory epitheloid cells was also observed using smear cytology methods against ocular discharge. At sacrifice, the histopathological changes on Cornea, Iris, Retina and Sclera were also observed in all animals. Slight irritancy of cornea and conjunctiva was observed at 1, 2 and 3 days after dropping in non-washing group. The MIOI of these points are detected as 4.50, 1.67 and 0.67, respectively. In washing group, slight irritancy of cornea and conjunctiva were observed at 1 and 2 days after dropping with MIOI as 0.67, respectively. Therefore, CLIWELL$^{TM}$ was considered as non-irritating materials because the MIOI is detected below 5.00 throughout the whole experimental periods in both washing and non-washing groups and the IAOI was also detected as 4.50. Except for significant increase of the inflammatory cell ratios in ocular discharge at 1 day after dropping of non-washing group compared to that non-treated intact eyes, no meaningful changes on smear cytology of ocular discharges are observed in this study. In addition, no abnormal histopathological changes on the cornea, iris, retina and sclera were also detected in CLIWELL$^{TM}$ dropping group compared to that of non-treated intact eyes.
